The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

my mind is blown, so this is where South Park's Jenifer Lopez/Mitch conner is based on.
I always thought they created the most original joke ever... but it turns out it was based on Senor Wences all this time.

As a professional entertainer I get a bit annoyed when people say the kids would love that ,adults would too but they pretend they're too sophisticated to be entertained lol

I used to work with someone older than I am. And one day there was a package at the desk for me to take to one of the residents. When I told her I took the package back, she asked "wasn't it heavy?" and I said, "heavy for you, not heavy for meeee!" We Both laughed and she asked "How do you know about that? That was years before you were born!"

Good plate spinning, excellent ventroqulism. Loved him as a kid. You pretty literally much see specialty acts like this in the US any more outside of the occasional burlesque show or specialty "circus" like Teatro Zinzani
