    Durant is a more unstoppable scorer, LeBron is a more unstoppable offensive player.. it's pretty cut and dry at this point Durant's shooting elevates his scoring above LeBron's but we all seen how he could be slowed down in OKC when you threw double teams at him.. LeBron on the other hand is much more unstoppable going to the rim and if you try and double him he finds the open man like Magic Johnson.. hes also no scrub from the perimeter now to be fair..

    • @FootballMatrix

      when was he slowed down in okc?

    • @BeingWokeTV
      @BeingWokeTV 6 лет назад +141

      Lebron isn't unstoppable...Lebron has been stopped many times. We cant say that about KD because he's the most unstoppable player in his prime right now

    • @brzy1188
      @brzy1188 6 лет назад +25

      BeingWokeTV Obviously nobody is truly unstoppable it was just phrasing on my part, the sentiment was he is "much more unstoppable" at driving to the rim than KD, meaning much more difficult to stop as he can get there almost at will in a 1v1 or kick it to the open man if you try to double him. Don't know what that dribble was at the end when you spoke about KD though, as you said nobody is unstoppable he just can't get doubled playing for GS.

    • @fordaloveofmusic
      @fordaloveofmusic 6 лет назад +39

      Disagree, kd has the ball handling ability to get to the basketball just like lebron. Lebron finds the open man when, he cant get to the rim. Kd being a 6'11 shooter can pull up from anywhere if you cut that off. On the offensive end as well if the team is down 2 and you foul each player to go to the line. 90 percent chance kd will hit both. 73 lebron will. Makes kd more deadly

If you take away LeBrons paint % KD shoots better at literally every single spot. So in other words KD scores as much as Lebron without the ball in his hands hardly at all. Max, are you dumb? KD is clearly the more unstoppable offensive player between the two of them. Not just scoring. You act as if KD never had a triple double. So he obviously can pass. His presence stretches the floor just by standing there. Then you can start with the scoring. There is no place on the floor that KD is weak from. Down low, he can use Dirk's move with post up. Hes the greatest mid range shooter the league has ever seen, he has maybe the 3rd best 3 point shot in the game. He can go 5 ft behind the 3 point line and still be a threat. KD has better handles. Lebron in no way shape or form, is in the same league as KD on Offense alone. You bugging Max.

Who is the better off-hand finisher? Who can read the defense better? Who plays the pick-and-roll better? Who has a higher basketball IQ? LeBron James is the answer to all of these questions. These questions are about offense. Offense is not about scoring, it is about running the offense, it is about passing. Offense can also include _leadership_ skills. More than just scoring, how well can you help orchestrate the offense? You think KD's ever been an orchestrator? He's an elite scorer, and a decent-enough defender (now), but that's just about it.
      And since being on the best team in the NBA (which he didn't help build), he's benefited even more, with all those open shots that Steph creates for him.
      It's gotten harder to measure just how truly good KD is anymore, because he's not pulling his own weight anymore. He has three other All-Stars (make that, FOUR other All-Stars now), to assist him.
      For instance, I thought Steph had three standout games in the last Finals, whereas Durant only had one real standout game. Yet KD got the FMVP yet again (thanks, Rachel Nichols and Jeff Van Gundy...clowns).
      LeBron's filled every stat and role that one can fill, during the last few Finals, even at an age where most players would be in steady decline by now. LeBron does other people's job so much and so often, sometimes it's even a detriment to his team. But he can still do it, AND get you a triple-double on any given night.

      This is why kids like you are so stupid. You think offense is only shooting the ball. Offense is playmaking, handling the ball, running the actual offense, and scoring. KD is a better shooter than LeBron. That's it. What else is better at offensively? Not driving. Not posting up. Not playmaking. Not handling the ball. Not running a team. So he's better at ONE part of offense, which is shooting 3s, that's pretty much it. That doesn't make him better offensively overall, he'd never be able to actually carry a team by himself like LeBron did this year and in 07 to the finals. Educate yourself a bit

    KD is a better and more skillful scorer, LeBron a better playmaker overall, although Durant improved a lot in the last 2 years. KD is a better defender, although i think James still has quite a bit of defense left in him, but just looking at last year u gotta give Durant the edge here. also KD is in a perfect situation in GS: his "weaknesses" (more like points where he isn't outstanding) are being covered up and he draws less attention, due to his teammates, so he looks better (and maybe he even is). in the end you can take whoever you want here. Both have weaknesses and strenghts. in the end it's up to your personal prioritization of the different aspects of the game. btw, you can be a more skillful but still a worse scorer (that doesnt apply to Durant but still)
    bonus question to my readers:
    do you think it is a testamony to James' greatness or a statement about the state of the league that year 15 LeBron James is still easily one of the 2 best players in the nba

    Durant is a more skillful ball handler than lebron and better 3pt midrange and ft shooter as of right now he’s a better perimeter defender and can shot block almost as good as lebron but no quite and Kevin Durant can do things that make him easier to fit into teams that lebron can’t and that’s move off ball such an overlooked skill

      you think LeBron can't move off ball? I guess you never watched him play in Miami, when him and D-Wade shared ball handling and both also played off the ball. Not surprised though, you probably don't watch him play.

      Kappa fair enough that’s sounds pretty reasonable the only thing that annoyed me about lebrons career is the fact that he wasn’t drafted into a favorable situation like mj bird magic Kobe they all had organizations that had a team for them to contend or were making steps to build around them so they can contend in the future all those greats when they went to the finals had the team necessary to complete lebron didn’t always have that everytime but people overlook that so it hurts his legacy in a way

    Laker Fan here...Durant is a better player than LeBron, Lebron doesn't play defense and he plays bully ball, he is a great passer and an all-time great but no one with real basketball knowledge would confuse LeBron with having the arsenal of skill than Durant has, Offensively its just not close between them Durant can kill you from any spot on the court Lebron can't do that consistently, Defensively Durant is elite where Lebron is statistically awful, and the are both elite rebounders for there positions. LeBron is a physical anomaly in ways that Durant is not but I wouldn't take Lebron over Durant ....Hopefully Ingram can evolve into the deadly threat that Durant is.

    What Lebron Joined is a completely different story than what KD joined. Lebron joined a team who struggled to make it past the first round the prior 3-4 seasons. Lebron didn't join the Celtics, he joined a team that was trying to beat them also.

    • @LD-ji5sz
      @LD-ji5sz 6 лет назад

      But they hadn't proved anything yet. Celtics were still favorites when CB joined D Wade. Probably still not favorites over the Celtics if Lebron would of never joined. That Celtics team was really deep even after getting Lebron it still took 7 games to beat them. Warriors were already built from the ground up. That D wade team that won the championship in 06 was long gone.
      KD joined a team that had made two consecutive finals appearances. KD had played with Westbrook and Harden and still decided he needed more help... Two players with MVP's on their resumes in today's game. Westbrook was still a top 5 player in the league at the time. Lets face it, KD only joined the Warriors cause he wanted the spotlight that Lebron was getting and he took the easiest way to get it. My problem with KD's decision is not that he left the Thunder, my problem is that he joined the best team in the league instead of joining another team that could potentially beat them.

DWade was already a proven champion in 06 and was in the conversation for best player in the world when LeBron joined him in 2010-2011.
