I collected ALL THE THINGS in DK 64

Howdy folks, please enjoy me playing Donkey Kong 64. As a kid, I owned this game. However, after playing for like an hour or so I dropped it and played other games. I always felt disappointed with DK 64, and that it didn't feel like a real DK game. Now, as an adult, my judgment has apparently lapsed and I've decided to play it again decades later to see how it holds up. Enjoy.

Barb just wanna say thank you for acknowledging that even if you don't like the game the primary complaints people have about it kind of don't make sense or at least isn't the world's biggest problem, lol. Like, if there's too much stuff, don't get all the stuff. I can't think of a single other game people judge based on how much time it takes to 100% it or whatever. DK64 was made during a time when "replay value" and "extra stuff to do" after you beat the game was a huge selling point, because games were made for kids and were pretty expensive. But we live in a time where we are adults, this game is cheap to play, and there are infinite ways to waste our time, so if you beat DK64 and you're done, just stop there. It's totally fine to just stop when you don't feel like playing anymore. But if DK64 is the best thing ever to you and you want more time in the game, there's a lot of extra stuff to spend your time doing.

I love this and recently bought the barb mug and a barb shirt. I would love a T-shirt of you in the Kong suit and it saying 101% on the back to honor your struggle/torture of this challenge.

3:11:00 the patterns never change. On the first wheel the banana is always after the black cherry thing. The second wheel its after the black cherry and the watermelon(usual for first cycle). The third is after the black cherrys again. The last is after a black cherry then a pineapple

he said it was better than Tooie but worse than Kazooie. Which I think is a fine take even for someone like Barb who isn't into these games. Both Tooie and DK64 start to miss the forest for the trees when it comes to how it structures it's level design as collectathons and either drag things out in wider levels or replacing meaningful platforming/exploration with too many minigames

Here is an even better take, they are all awful and the N64 Castlevania games were more fun.
Now, is what I wrote there an attempt at getting a reaction or is it how I truely feel? It doesn't matter. It is an opinion and what other people like and dislike has no real effect over what you like or dislike. What's more, saying that having an opinion different to yours is "almost worth an unsubbing" comes across as threatning.
