Happy Friday everyone! We just wrapped on Car Trek 2 out in Las Vegas. We think you will really love it. Stay tuned!
Can't wait for it
YESSS!
YES!!! SO excited!
Hope I can catch it I'm currently building a 280z and puting a rb26 in it
Dude. Excited. !?!?!?@&'&$*$;;!^@^$&$&@^!%!:×_=>=;";";$[÷[!!!!!
“kinda looks like Keith Urban with a thyroid condition” 💀💀💀💀💀
lol I died laughing from this one
I knew I would see someone down on comments thinking this was just as hilarious !!
Rob is convincing enough for me to buy candy from him if he pulls up in a van
I’d hop in no questions asked, whisper in his ear ( do me like a only a rabbit could ) of course he’d proceed to kick me out but I’d still be happy.
You mean rabbit 😂
You can tell this guys full of shit tho
Ronnie Sulsh who??
You speak from experience?
Great story as always Rob. One day we will have to put together a car flipping contest for the VINwiki regulars!
That sounds like a great idea, definitely would watch!
That would be awesome!
I love that direction! A great way to manufacture content.
Just don't invite Shaq, he will take it literally and put her on it's roof
Hell yeah car flipper contest sounds awesome
If rabbit, the coolest guy you want to meet, says someone is the coolest guy you want to meet, you want to meet him
Single mom's aren't buying them because they need vans, they are buying them because they happen to be what Rob is selling. Them JC Penny gal's can't resist.
"Creepy" "Van"? knew it would be Rob.
The one and only
Hate this dude so much
Corey why’s that?
Yeah Corey why's that huh?
Yeah! Let's snap our fingers aggressively at him, fellas.
I am willing to bet that the comedian was Jeff Dunham. He is a car collector himself, and he was the 1st person I thought of when Rabbit said puppet.
Had to scroll alot to get someone to say Jeff Dunham!
Jeff fafa
Would have suited him. Creepy ass dude in creepy ass van.
I was thinking it was a Dunham type van before he even mentioned puppets
Creepy van, puppets... All He's missing are some chains and either candy or a "lost" puppy
Rob: “I hit him for $500 less” ! Shrewd negotiating
Ed hope you guys had fun in Vegas ! See ya soon!
It was a blast. Thank you sir!
Gotta have the, “You sister is in here.” bumper sticker
*Rolling heavy magazine*
Me: Starts video at 10:30 Am
hears Rabbit's voice
Pauses video to grab a smoke and a cold one, head to the porch
Unpauses video.
The van needs a mural on the side that includes an igloo and an Eskimo warrior princess with blood dripping off her sword on a sled being pulled by a team of vicious polar bears
Rob Brown igloos will get you labeled a terrorist these days
Yep. A Valkyrie. In Viking mythology if you died in combat with your sword in your hand you went to Valhalla.
Clint Davis a Valkyrie is a “chooser of the dead”. They decided who would fall in battle. By default, if one died in battle they went to Valhalla
@@redram5150 True but didnt the Norns decide fate? And werent the Valkyries the servants of Odin? Im surprised anyone knew what I was talking about!
Fuck i love the polar express
Somebody in my area has an old GMC van with an “A-Team” paint job.
Had a 76 Chevy van with the tiny moon windows and 4 swivel captains chairs. 350 engine and shag carpet. Best vehicle I ever had! Went camping. Had road trips. Beach parties. Everything. Perfect vehicle for anything.
I miss rabbit sooo much. BEEN TOO LONG
Agreed! By far my favorite!
What happened to him did he die?
Rabbits storytelling makes me watch these videos like I'm talking to an old friend I've known since I could make memories.
"If this van's rockin don't bother knockin!"
I just might have my #### in.
Because thats where they got their "big break."
Who knew this would be Rabbit?
Henrik K yep i hoping for chris he’s my favorite
I just got my first van two weeks ago. I’m going through it fixing all the lil things to make it as close to perfect as possible.
I live in Fort Myers, Florida! I went to high school and was pretty good friends with Chris Libaks son, that’s badass! Small world!
I always loved those kind of rims on the van in the thumbnail
Whenever i see a story of Rob I make sure im 100% tuned in. We need more stories
Keith Urban with a thyroid condition 😂 gotta love Rabbit
I entered this word in the back of a 1970 Ford Transit Van, l love this story. Cheers from Noosa Australia
What a friend , made him shave off 500$ more 🙄
Love a good rabbit story. Keep them coming!
RABBIT!!!!!! THE BEST!!!!! ON RUclips!!!!!
Nice looking van, I had a 1973 the same color and a 302 I got it in 73 with 5000 miles on the clock drove it for 12 years then sold it to pay for cooking school, it has been 35 years but I still miss her to this day.
When I was a child my father bought a cheap custom van & took out most of the customizations due to the fact that he was a family man with 3 small children & the van was an obvious 70s love nest.
The license plate was vanzeus. It was a dark metallic navy blue on the front with a mural of a naked Zeus the God of War in a reclined position with a top less woman with her lower half wrapped in a semi-transparent looking scarf walking toward him on both rear sides & it had the clouds he was reclining on wrapped around the back of the van. It was wild. That was the first thing to go & the whole thing became dark metallic navy blue. When you opened the side door, you encountered a beaded curtain. That was also removed quickly. Next there was light blue long shag carpet all over that honestly resembled fur. That did stay & I remember running my fingers through it every time we rode in it for the entire time we owned said van. The only windows on the van were the front ones & 2 very tinted round boat windows on the rear sides above Zeus.
There were 2 light gray leather/pleather (not really sure which because I was only 12 when we finally sold the van & I didn't ever sit in them) captain chairs for the front driver & passenger. Those stayed. Looking straight in from the side door, there was a sink & mini fridge. The mini fridge was covered on the sides with the blue fur & had a ufo shaped fiber optic lamp sitting in a hole cut into the fur covering the top of the fridge. The fridge had a dark wood grain laminated door. There was a large bed in the back with a pull out cooler underneath it. There were mirrors that covered the entire ceiling above that bed that were each 12 in by 12 in size & had some sort of gold glaze around only the perimeter of each mirror. The gold glaze looked kind of like those paintings where someone puts a hole in a cup or bucket, puts the paint in & ties it to the ceiling above the canvas & swings the paint around. At the very back behind the bed, there were 4 lava lamps equally spaced apart on top of a headboard of sorts.
I asked why there would be mirrors on the ceiling when I was about 8 & I remember my mother saying "nevermind that" & raising her eyebrow at my father in case he would want to answer that completely inappropriate though also completely innocent question. He did not answer. He rubbed the back of his neck & laughed awkwardly. The mirrors were quickly removed.
It wasn't until I was describing this amazing piece of art to a classmate my senior year that the reason for their discomfort clicked & I couldn't stop laughing long enough to completely describe this van to my friends.
That van was honestly amazing & I'd love to recreate the darned thing & drive it into my parent's yard because they took out everything that made it crazy unique & turned it into a family friendly conversion van. That thing would be amazing to drive around now. 💀
Dad had a '73 Ford just like it in yellow, and, finally sold it back.on the late 80s.
Awesome Truck!
Apparently one of my uncles had something like this in the late 70s early 80s. Light yellow, with Windows, wood board interior, his surfboard(s) stapped on top. Hanging out at the California beaches all day. Seemed like it was pretty cool.
I had one when I was 16...a 74 econoline painted maroon with cream stripes! I used to haul my jetski around in the back! Loved it...still miss it to this day. We put a 289-2V from a 66 mustang in it! Man, it was fun!
Always a great time with rabbit
Gotta love ya a Rabbit story
Rabbits Used Cars is NEVER ENOUGH!!!
LONG LIVE RABBIT
When Rabbit said the owner of the van made leather “accessories”, I was thinking more along the line of the sin of lust from Se7en, not wallets and belts
As a kid in the 70s, I love custom street vans! I am currently working on a 1974 Plymouth van with no windows, a 440 big block engine, 727 Torquflyte trans with B&M 2 stage shift kit, full on 70s 2%r custom street van!
I have this friend...asked if the offer still stands. I hit him for $500 less.
I'm guessing they are not really friends.
Yeah i would never want to buy anything from someone as "shrewd" or stingy as Ed or rabbit. Like knowing they paid $75,000 for something and instead of making a reasonable $5,000 profit they charge $125,000 and almost double their money..... Off of their "friends". Business and friendship should be separate, but ya don't need to COMPLETELY run game on your friends. Its funny cause these are the guys that lowball and nitpick during a purchase, but once they have the car and THEY are selling it all of a sudden it becomes a one or two owner super rare gem.. Even though 1 year and 10,000 miles ago they paid half of what theyre asking for it now lmao. Regardless I DO LIKE these guys, their stories are GRADE A. EXTRA LARGE
I dunno... I mean.. it's Rabbit.. if his buddy said "I even listed it for what you said you'd give and they still wouldn't buy it..." I think Rabbit would be "Well, he did the market research and they wouldn't give him what I would so I'll drop $500 and see if he bites. Bet he doesn't want to try to sell it again 'cause goin' over the same ground twice sucks..."
Seems like that thought process would work...
Making $$ off your 'friends' is pretty scuzzy...just like every used-car salesman out there.
Rob is finally back!
Pure 70’s van. The rear window screens are AWESOME (ask your elders what they are kids) and those cool mirrors.
Love the Rob Pitts Stories, Thanks Rabbit
Hahaha! I ain't watched vinwiki in a while, been so busy. Watching Rabbit got me lmao!🤣
Hell yeah. Never miss a Rabbit video.
Rob is back !! I missed this guy
Rabbit hasn't paid for a drink since 1984.
Can anyone tell me what name or code those ribbed dish rims are? Compiling a list of essential vintage and retro mags and have loved them since reading the Badger Airbrush books with custom 70's vans when I was a kid. Rabbit says American racing but I only know them for the dragways torque thrust style...
Nice to hear that man was able to pick that van up and make it like the good ol days!
Hell yea good old rabbit. Love the old storyteller are back again the new ones are just not the same
Just finish watching this and was surprised to hear him say it went to Ft. Myers, Fl. Guess I need to keep my eyes open for it as I drive around town.
I've never heard of these 'celebrities', but that's a COOL van!
I had a '77 1/2 Chevy G10 "Hawaiian" that was all original except for the swapped 350 and it was one of the most fun vehicles i've ever had. It was comfortable camping in it and i'd keep my vintage YZ250 in the back and ready to rock. It's always been a desert van so there was absolutely no rust and was like a time capsule. Factory blue and gold shag on every piece of the interior that wasn't 70's blue vinyl or stained mahogany. IIRC this one was the last model with the oldschool round headlights and chrome steel grill before it all went square and plastic. Back then it was a long commute to work and i'd often camp in the mountains or desert near work in the van for about 3 nights a week.
I'd love to find another old 70's short van, running or roller, for a project someday, finds like this for next to nothing occasionally pop up locally.
I saw this very van 2 weeks ago in North Fort Myers. It was on a flatbed trailer on Bayshore Rd and I75 heading west on Bayshore. I knew I saw it from somewhere, didn't realize it was this van until now
1:54 "he had his Fun with it"! Yeah what ever that means.🤣
I'm looking at you, Tom Hanks
What’s creepy about a van unless it’s white and following down an alley late night
You forgot to mention "Free Candy" on the side written in electrical tape
@@fk4515 damn you beat me to it. that would have me grabbing my gun faster than the plain white van late at night following me down a dark alley would
Rabbit can talk about, likely sell, just about anything. Them boys on Wall St better be thankful he didn’t get a hankering for investment banking. 😆👌🏽
Hey Brother !!! BTW Chris Libak Loved the Van when i delivered it to him !!!!!! and just so you know , Yes i was a LIL OCD when i came to look at it for him / crawling all underneath it and checking every square inch LOL . so the Moral of the story is when ya best friend and Nephew ask ya to go check out a bad ass van for them and send you a lot of cash and trust in you/Me to make sure that it is what it is !!!!!! then yea imma crawl on the Ground and make damn sure its Right !!! I love those 70's custom vans. I would have loved to obtain that bit of rolling history. I had an old Chevy van, once, that was a similar color. I referred to it as "Smurf Blue" or "Prison Bus Blue", as the prison busses in my area, were also a similar color. When I painted the bumpers black, and put a revolving amber light on the roof, it really looked like a mini-prison bus, lol. That old girl had no power steering, and a smaller-than-stock steering wheel; I had some solid forearms, when that thing was my daily driver.
This video was released on my 45th B-Day. Love me some Rabbitt!!
Yes, I want another one of those. My uncle and grandma had vans also
My grandfather had a 72 almost like that. Same wheels similar side dumps but it was white. I remember driving around his driveway on his knee. It had a queen bed big power inverter a 13 color t.v vhs and betamax and a fridge.
I just seen the lifted van he sold in Cincinnati on the back of a tow truck
Oh Rabbit, never change.
I bet that van can tell some stories
Yeet new vid keep it up guys the vids with rob in it are some of my favourite
Did any one else notice that the rims on the van were the same rims that are on the general lees
"Happy Van Ending." Is really funny given that that's how so many of those single moms you sell other vans to ended up that way.
Great story! I can't wait for Car Trek 2!
I live just outside of fort myers and I really hope I get to see this van drive around.
It'll probably be black by the time you see it... good luck...!
I saw “van” in the title and had a feeling it was going to be a Rob story, glad to see my hunch was correct!
U get a van ! U get a van ! Everyone gets a van !
I saw this van, on its way back to Sc on I-85!
Rabbit needs to drive a Rabbit
Finally some rabbit
We all know what that fun was 😂
Rabbits BACK HELL YES!!!
Rabbits on, the show is staying on!
I’m 59.
I remember back in the 70s
They were all the rage
Vantastic story! :)
I believe that to be a successful car sales men is. Being a great story teller.
Really?! A dryer falling out of the sky onto the keyfob. I think you have a better chance getting struck by lightning 🤣 but it is a good ad, it did catch my eyes.
I’ve got a 1984 Ford Econoline custom paint job and all. Can’t find the value of it anywhere.
I've always thought of these as "chainsaw massacre vans."
Man I’ve always loved these vans since I was a kid
All they need is an 'ice creams and hugs' sticker for the side of the van....
"cool happy van ending"
I'll bet that van has seen a lot of happy endings, lol
Shout out Spartanburg, SC!
Who else thought of The Mystery Machine when they showed the van in the thumbnail?
We had a 1976 E150 not long ago. Took forever to offload it. Should have sent it down to ole Rabbit.
I bought a 1978 E150 custom about 10 years ago cause it had this awesome vintage interior. I just thought it looked cool....
Funny enough, I just bought one this summer with an even a wilder story. 1969 Ford Econoline, shorty van. The story goes it was built for a movie that never happened. A Cheech and Chong movie. I have photos of Cheech and Chong sitting in my van! It had a Coca-cola theme interior with a bunch of vintage Coca-cola merch in it. Metal signs, diner glasses, covers, a stuffed bear, even a Frisch's Big Boy Coke figurine. Rugged interior, fridge and sink. Even had a bed that folded both ways. I drove it for about 10 miles before I decided to take it on a trip to West Palm Beach Florida. Made it down and back without any troubles at all. I can't wait to see more of these vans beings restored and built.
MR RABBIT IS LEGEND
Yea Rabbit.
RSD pickup artist said they get more action in a van with a lil Wayne poster in it then a Lamborghini
The legend is back I couldn’t click faster🚗🚘
I had a boyfriend that had a 1972 He and his buddies squeezed in a 351 engine, put on headers and side exhausts that was so loud that it set off car alarms. He lifted it putting on big knobby tires. He had the spare tire rigged on top of the roof. He used a thick rope he threw over to me that I hung onto, putting one foot then the other into the doorstep while he pulled me up into the van. The van's color was an ugly faded red so he had it sprayed a dark primer red and painted the grill primer black. We attended weekend van run events regularly. He had plans to chop it. Sadly the van was stolen never to be found.
That was a fun story, thanks.
Better start buyn em up b4 prices start heading for the moon . I just bought a 1982 dodge and really lovin it . I want to buy another one. Like money in the bank. but much better interest .
That can couldn't be any more 70's unless it was brown with a orange and cream stripe along the side!
