the only thin i dont like about these versions (from his tours in the earl century) is that Gadd plays the drums with an emphasis on 2 and 4, like a standard drum beat. Ginger always playe dthe drums on 1 and 3, which is (to me) what made the song. without that it sounds kinda lackluster

I have two guesses why Gadd doing that. The first guess why Gadd is doing that because he have a hard time doing it... my second guess is maybe because the full set of the band. Back in the cream, they were only 3 of them so Ginger have to do the fullest for the music... Only guesses
