Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan, and is administered by the Pakistani federal government as part of the Islamabad Capital Territory. It is the ninth-largest city in Pakistan, while the larger Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan area is the country's fourth-largest with a population of about 3.1 million people. Built as a planned city in the 1960s to replace Karachi as Pakistan's capital, Islamabad is noted for its high standards of living, safety and abundant greenery.

There was no city there before 1960. In 1960, the area of margala hills was chosen by Govt. because of central location in the country. The city was built to replace Karachi as a capital, Pakistan secretariat and government offices as well as houses for employees were built as no building was available here.

It’s a new city,that was planned and started constructing in 1961 and master plan reviewed every twenty years,now it’s a city of two million situated in north end of Punjab province.
I am from England but I went to my mums country 4 years ago.; Islamabad ... oh my days.. that view of Faisal Mosque whilst driving down .. it was the most iconic view I have ever seen in my whole life and I have travelled all-around EU and US, Canada. That view of Faisal Mosque got me, I will never forget it.

Construction started in 1960. Completed in 1969.
Not every shot was of lockdown.
05:29 Islamabad was a plain area. There was nothing before it was made capital of Pakistan. After making it capital it was declared a city. Bcz its capital of Pakistan. It doesn't come under any province. You can't say like it's in punjab or kpk etc. The nearby city was only rawalpindi, which also has development multipled since it was announced capital. The green area, will soon be premium living colonies. Its in development. The part that's shown here which is developed isn't even the half that's to be developed. Once it's developed, It will compete the rest of the world. Business meetings etc will then be held here etc.
It will take atleast a decade to develop. If its developed properly. It will be a place that's Bettet than even dubai

Initially Karachi was the Capital of Pakistan. Islamabad city was specifically designed / planned by the Greek Architect in the 60's during Gen Ayub Khan's time. It was declared Capital in 1963. It is also known as the 2nd most Beautiful Capital City in the World.

Guys, you can watch other videos of Islamabad, made professionally by some people. Islamabad is always very neat and clean. Not much crowded. You will like those videos. This city is very much new. constructed by Presidend Ayub Khan (late) in 1964.

It has famous tomb of 7 sisters, Sadhu Belo Mandir, bakhar Qilla, Famous Bridges and many historical things.
While Dehli is hundreds of years old city , Islamabad is a new built city from scratch. It lies at end of Punjab towards north and lies next to Rawalpindi. Water you saw, is Rawal lake.
I am a resident of islamabad,its not that busy at all, and weather is also not that cold.but its clean and 2nd most beautiful capital in the world.

Islamabad was declared as Capital of Pakistan in 1960. At that time it was a village of Rawalpindi district of northern Punjab. It is a newly built city on an even land. Murree is near this city about 35 KMs.Margala hills are seen in the background which poses Islamabad as a beautiful city. Opposite of Margalla hills is our province Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa district Hazara which is famous in old stories as Takht Hazara. The weather in Islamabad is very romantic mostly cool. The Faisal Mosque is the great mosque about second or third in the world as far as the worship area is concerned. This Mosque was presented by Shaheed King Faial of Saudi Arabia in 1966 when he visited Pakistan. The mosque was completed in 1983 approximately. It is worth looking at. There are several universities in Islamabad and the education level is high as compared to other cities. Quaid e Azam University is the main and first University of Islamabad. Islamabad is a newly developed city 40 years ago. Its on the boarder of Punjab and northern areas. Like one side punjab and the other side hilly area starts. Its like that even without Lockdown. Most beautiful and clean city of Pakistan. Its the world's 2nd most beautiful city. Still many shorts are not there...like Monal, 7th avenue, marghala road, parliament, presidency, ....you can see them.separately in other videos. The lake is called Rawal lake. You can see Lake view park, lake view bird park, Daamn e Koh, peer sohawa, sharda, and more places much more beautiful than those captured in this video...

Islamabad bascically a Village Nothern Area Once was KPK part. There is South Waziristan behind the Margala Hills. In 1960s Govt of pak planed to shift Capital from Karachi ti Islamabad
It was basically Northern Punjab and then in 60s it was aquired by the Federal Govt and its a planned city. Faisal Mosque is the symbol/Land Mark of Islamabad. Yes it is a hill station. 50Kms away from Murree.
