Definitely enjoyed the video and had a great laugh. Have a 2020 FS1700 (same as 1610 before name change), and only lists on the starboard side off plane due to weight of 3 batteries and my fat ass. Levels right off on plane even before trimming out and I stay dry. I also don't have a hydrofoil or trim tabs.

The trim tabs are a little over kill for the size boat. I bet when the owner goes out in it there is more weight around the driver which would make it level. Oh the joys of customers boats.
I'd bet that the aftermarket spring loaded trim tabs and goofy whale tale are the problems with the handling of that boat and the spray issues.. The starboard side trim tab would sure throw water up onto the swim platform/ladder (which is factory installed). I looked at Lowes before I bought a Ranger VX1788WT, which turned out to also be a complete POS (Bass Pro ruined that company).. I'm in a Lund Tyee now, it's a night and day difference in quality.
Why is it that across this whole industry hulls are never designed with enough stern lift? I have never seen a hull Tin, Glass, or a wood that needed a motor wedge installed to give positive motor angles. And forget about those hydro fins on the cav plates they are a bandaid on a broken leg. What is the angle of the transom?
Those automatic, trim tabs have too much spring in them, causing the boat to nosedive constantly. It even needs softer springs, or the pistons need to be moved up an inch and a half.

Lowe's name is a reflection of their quality. Very poorly built boats. Currently they have a recall program where dealers are adding the flotation foam they failed to correctly add to certain models. Brunswick garbage.

The limitations of Aluminum constrain the hull shape. That's why glass boats are usually drier. The hull can be optimized to any purpose.
