What does everyone think to Jack and Joe's results? Could they have changed anything to improve their chances in the test? As always, let us know in the comments!
Please explain what the red and blue scatter plots illustrated. You said things were crossing over. I imagine this had something to do with lactate threshold? Or VO2max?
On that chart the blue set is VO2, and the red VCO2. For this test the crossover point doesn't have much significance other than showing a general trend towards anaerobic intensity. What you'd look for is a nice plateau in VO2 (as well as hitting or getting close to max HR) to make sure they've gone to their max and not copped out before.
Sorry I should have said during that segment of the text. While doing a lactate threshold test, looking at the ratio or VO2 and VCO2 to Ve (total minute ventilation) is useful as a back up got the blood data. The crossover point of these ratios should occur at about the lactate turn point

I do love these vids. It has nothing to do with the presenters who are dull and unappealing, it is the sadist in me :). Given that this the internetofoutrage, my comment regarding Messrs Norledge and Luc (that must be a French accent he has) were very tongue-in-cheek.
Wrong test. That's a single speed for god's sake. By the way, help me because I am stuck between 4 offers, I have an The Mavic Aksium, it weighs 1900g F & R without tires and casettes. It's always going out of true and the spokes are brittle as an eggshell. I have an offer of DT-SWISS mon chasseral carbon rims 28 rim profile depth, 350 star ratchet hubs front and rear, DT-swiss competition spokes(steel), nipple weighing staggering 1350g for $700. Or DT-SWISS RC38C Spline carbon rims 38 rim profile depth, 350 star ratchet hubs front and rear, DT-swiss competition spokes(steel), nipple weighing 1490g for $700 Mavic Comete pro carbon alluminium 60mm non dtwiss hubs, aero spokes, 1790g, $1000 Or just an ordinary R460 sleeve joint rims also from DT-SWISS, 350 star ratchet hubs front and rear, round spokes and still keeping the weigh down to 1600g just $250. I am ready to spend on wheels but, should I just go for the trusted ally wheels? are carbon wheels hype really worth it? are there any performance gains going carbon? I already have a carbon road frame, race geometry, to be exact, Cannondale Supersix evo. Please, help before I make a stupid mistake. ps. all wheels mentioned are clincher, no tubular.

I have been looking forward to this follow up. Great video! There's hope for regular humans like myself to get a bit fitter.
Glad you've found it useful, and thanks for watching from Joe and Jack!
Well done chaps - I’ve been looking forward to this follow up video for sometime. 👏👏👏
Good to have the diaries back! 👍🏻
Thanks for watching from Joe and Jack!
Excellent video keep up the good work!
Did you find your neck beard performance increased too? ;-)
Great video lads. More BD videos out on the roads, please.
Neck beards are *key* to our performance. Glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers, Jack
That looked just as painful as the first time! Well done lads 👍
It was! Thanks for watching. Jack
7:27 - Jack, reading off a sheet, drops from 69.6 kg to... 69.7. Then Joe, knowing it's a canned response, reacts to his 'gain' in weight. haha
Didn't even notice. Brilliant haha

7:13 awkward... well done guys. Can we see the data sheets??? scan them perhaps?
Now do a video "how fat can we get in 6 weeks"! How's that for a challenge?
Hoping one day that Rooby's gonna make a guest appearance.
They each weigh about the same as one of my legs 😂
Can anyone get this sort of testing done? If so any SW UK reccomendations?

enjoy the diaries but they are too infrequent

Lol. This comment is why the internet is great.
Where's Dan Delaney?
