Maneli, I know I said this before, but this piece of music has seriously reached me on a deep emotional level. It amplifies the happiness, and it heals the pain. There's more to music than just music. Keep up the amazing work, my friend.
i'm from saudi arabia, i live in u.s i saw this video 1 year ago when i went back to saudi and in this summer i just arrived to saudi and i can't stop listening to this song it's amazing i will learn how to play it soon thank you u are amazing
It's always a great pleasure to listen to you. One can hear and feel a strong sense of freedom and clarity ...Looking forward to hear more...Greetings Jim
I've seriously had this on repeat for 2 hours. I cannot fully express the beauty of this song, nor can I express the moving feeling it creates inside me. Literally, I shed a tear. 100/10.
I've been inspired by many different artists, many of which I have discovered through CandyRat records. But Maneli has inspired me in a different way. Never have I been so moved by instrumental guitar, and I very highly recommend you buy his album and experience his life through his music. Truly incredible.
I came here every once in a while. This year has been rough. This helps. A lot. Always goosebumps listening to this. Thank you Maneli, from the Deep of my Heart.
That's crazy. People say music invokes emotions, but emotion isn't the right word for this. Listening to your music taps into something fundamental in my brain, like how the smell of cut grass can take you back to that particular summer and you can feel the sun and the warm breeze all from a smell. This music creates the same vividness of experience that mere 'happy' or 'sad' doesn't do it justice. Not by a long shot.
I remember getting the tabs for this ages ago despite knowing that playing this piece was way above my abilities (still is) BUT to all those out there who are 'uhm'ing and 'ahh'ing about buying them too, there's a lot to learn from just studying sheet music. I recommend taking the plunge and seeing what you learn, who knows, you could find the keystone of knowledge that ups your composing, playing and/or entertaining game!
Just bought the tab, if you think you can learn this song by ear, forget it, every single note is twice the sound you ear, well done Maneli. That's how it sounds perfect. I'll keep practicing until i'll do it :)
Been coming back to this song for quite a while now and it's still one of the most inspiring pieces for me musically. There is so much to sink your teeth into from the beautiful note selection to the use of dynamics... I just can't get enough, so modern yet so bloody classic. I love it; from one musician to another, you inspire me.
thanks for the reply :) you don't see many talented/famous musicians replying to a comment personally, thats one of the many reasons you're becoming my favorite guitarist :)
Thanks very much. I relate everything to experience. Not musical experience but life experience and thankfully having lived all over the world as a young one has exposed me to many changes which is why I like to change things up in compositions. Having a good foundation of theory and an open mind is important to me too.
It all comes down to what you want with the song. Some want just a regular pop tune, some want something more meaningful. I can say that parts of this song have been in my head for over 5 years while others just came to me after that initial catalyst. I inspire from my life experiences and looking back at it, it has really helped me find how I communicate with music. So it can take up to 5 years for some of these compositions to come to life for me to be satisfied.
Came across you 5 minutes ago on FB for a lesson video promo. I’m only 1 minute through this song and I’m already super impressed. Beautiful feel and composition. It’s been a long time since someone jumped out at me this quick. 20 years actually and that last person was, the incredible Tommy Emmanuel
Maneli, I have been a follower of yours on youtube for some years now. I can say with confidence, that this a true piece of work. I thank you for sharing this with us. Keep the flow going, Maestro and congratulations on the second LP. ;-) Congratulations on the second LP release.
Put this signed album I bought, after our conversation on Facebook, on my phone. Gunna go for a long bike ride with this song on repeat and chill the fuck out! I fucking adore this song Maneli! Thank you for being such an approachable artist that actually responds to fans whether it be here on RUclips, Facebook and anywhere else you reply to people, and thanks even more for making such amazing music!
Just... amazing. I play the same model CC and I know it's not a forgiving neck to play complicated chords, but you handle this guitar beautifully and get the most of it's expressive sound. Really impressive, and more importantly such a joy to listen to. I'm getting the CD, and I'll continue to come back for more (and more) listens...
Hey i just wanted to say congats on getting signed on with candyrat, ive been subscribed to you since your third video and ive been a fan ever since. this is so awesome to watch someone go from youtube to being signed on with a record company. any way im so happy for everything you have done. ps LOVE the music keep it up, one of my favorite guitarists.
Thanks for sharing it with them! Really appreciate that from ya. I never know what I'm hearing and don't trust what I hear but rather what I feel. All vibrations that tickle me fancy, thats how the tunes come out.
Jamal's music is absolutely awesome (I plead him to read all of this comment). I just had a real tough and nasty day. I came home and put this on, and everything (though I was facing some real bad stuff), just seemed okay. Because of this, I felt the immediate necessity of writing some poetry (I do that sometimes). I thought it'd be fair to paste it here, because it was all made as a small tribute for the aid brought through Jamal's music. Thanks c: Excuse my English (the poem's originally written in spanish). It is a stake you’ve held to pierce all torments, To bring weakness to one’s weakness, It has been you, and your righteous fingers, Perhaps, the sole thing that freed some men. Is it not one man’s liberated, wimbling feet, What’s built some of this great life’s wonder? Is it not some mightier spirit and condition, What has rescued all those yearning hearts down under? You musician, are a man Who cures our thirst with wine-like water, It has been in this dry, gray desert, That you’ve lit a steady lasting fire, To bring joy onto our fatuous meekness, So we can push through and perspire, For we have weakened our weakness.
