Really hope this was helpful! Please comment any specifics you'd like me to cover in future and have the best time if you're going to uni in September! x
This was so reassuring, thanks Noo! I’m a fresher this year and I know it’s going to be different but after months of being stuck at home, I just can’t wait to go somewhere new. Sorry to hear about you missing your graduation and summer ball :( xx
Aw I’m glad! I hope you have a fab time and so glad you’ve got a positive attitude, it’s alright really I’ll find other ways to celebrate xx
Omg this is super helpful! I’m starting uni in September so thank you so much for making this!! ❤️❤️
So welcome! Glad it helped x
Such a useful reassuring vid, can’t imagine how nervous students this year must be feeling so this will be so helpful 💖
It’s so good you reached out to different people for answers! It’s good freshers are still doing wrist bands and stuff is in place to make friends! This is so helpful & it’s so good of you to give this advice! Ps. Love your top 😍
Thank you! and thank you about the top haha, one of my favourites ;) x
Starting uni this year and my biggest fear is making friends! Apparently, group chats are the way to go this year! Ugh let's see what unis have in store!
Omg i just found out that You’re half Iranian (that‘s really cool to me as I am Iranian myself!) Also: Thank you soo much for the video, i was feeling so anxious about starting uni!
Haha yes I am! Glad I could help, hope you enjoy uni! X
I'm almost in my third year of uni and I'm not even from the UK but this was kinda interesting😂 It's crazy how different studying in the UK is than here😅 At my university you can start in fall or in spring and I know a couple of people who started this spring when this whole crisis was just really starting. So the universities had no time to make any plans and fresher's was just cancelled and I know most people really struggled to make friends. But I'm not writing this to scare anyone but to show you: Timing could be worse. I'm sure they'll make the best out of fresher's this fall :) And don't worry I found my closest friends at uni at the very first day. Everyone is in the same position as you are and everyone is scared of not finding friends :)
Ah so interesting! I totally agree, people will definitely find friends x
Fantastic video! thank you! Also, Warwick's 1st year counts for 10% of the degree classification. That is true for all life sciences courses at warwick xx
Thank you! And ahh great to know so thanks :) x
Starting uni this year in Cardiff and my biggest fear is making friends! Thankgod for my uni halls making an app / chat for us to find our flatmates!
Can u do a video on taking notes plz x
I move in soon im so exciteddd
Ah so exciting, have a fab time! X
Im meant to be starting uni this year at uni of bath, after deferring the last, unsure whether I should have a year out again bc of a reduced experience, especially as a sports student, but I feel like I've left it too late to bail out this year and if I have to reapply through UCAS
For someone who is terrified about starting uni in September with the year below me which doesn’t really matter. The one thing I struggle with is change how can I ensure myself that I will make friends and get on with my studies, I’m really worried that I will be the only one still living at home while I’m at uni and that I won’t get the right support I need as I haven’t had a full diagnosis of dyslexia but school treat me as if I have dyslexia and that really helps my studies. Can you please give me some advice?
I would recommend you just throw yourself into the extra curricular things like societies and try to say yes to lots of invites to meet new people! Im sure as well you can get lots of great support even without the full diagnosis as there’s departments for it
So useful ahh
I'm going to uni this year but im so worried that I won't be able to get a job bcos my student loan doesn't even cover my rent :((((
Definitely reach out to your uni because they all have job finding services! There’s jobs in the actual unis themselves like the cafes etc and student ambassadors as well as links to other jobs which I’m sure there’ll be openings in despite everything x
What are your plans now since you’ve graduated? I myself also just graduated from the Uni of Bath🙆🏻♂️
I’ll be making a video about it very soon! Congrats x
@@NooStenningVideos Congrats to you too!
Biochemistry or microbiology.. which is best?
Neither is better they’re just different! Biochemistry is a broader subject across topics with elements of microbiology in it and more chemistry based, microbiology is more specialised but you’ll still have the option to learn broader bioscience in part :)
If you graduated, why are you doing one more year at Bath? Grad school?
I’m not doing another year at Bath, sorry not sure where I implied that haha but definitely not at Bath next year
@@NooStenningVideos You just uploaded a room tour Uni at Bath? Was that not this week?
That was from my final year :)
To be honest it's not worth going uni this year as it's online and your gonna pay £9000 pounds
It’s a very difficult position because naturally deferring an entire year would cause enormous issues down the line. Not all learning will be online and the potential for 2021 to be fairly normal is still very much there. Not everyone can simply “not go” but I see your point it is expensive for seemingly reduced teaching/experience
Yes thanks for the advice but I think I would take a year off an work/revise extra and then go to uni because this year it's not really worth it
