Make sure you collect it at least twice a day so the taxes will always flown. 6) If you're playing Contests of Mayor, make sure that you check the Assignment before doing anything. To anyone who is asking what mod I am using, it's called hard work and play smart. I made around 50k simoleon a day by selling stuff and collecting tax. Tax alone was already 18k per day. If you do the math, all you need is around 200 days (7 months) to make 10 million. All you need is patient and hard working. I played this city for around 8 months so this is doable unless you are new to this game. As for storage, 345 is nothing special and is achievable. All you need is work hard to search around the depot and join a good club. Same thing for the keys. Go play Contest of mayors and club wars. A hacker would have billions of simoleons/keys/600 storage. Everyone who says this is hack assume this is accomplished in a a few days, which is of course not true. This is done on 8 months. Why would I tell people to cut spending/stop expanding too quickly/sell stuff if this is hack.
The point of people looking for ways to make tons of simoleons is because they're too low to sell stuff, they've been struggling with materials, or don't want to wait an entire year to make money.
You really have to move on if you think this is hard. To me it's easy. Period. If you think it's hard then it's just you, not me. It may take time but it's easy. All you need is work hard and be patient. You are doing it wrong if you think it's hard. Judging from your false accusation of me spending real money, you must be a newbie/noob. The best advice I have ever seen. I did the same in his time. It would have been super if you also gave a tip for the rearrangement of the city to take advantage of every last drop of space, so as not to spend a lot on roads and police services etc.
I started working on this idea myself, i was level 10 with 4K simoleons. Then I stopped everything and worked on my most valuable exports. Now I’m level 14 with 70k simoleons
My tips are: 1 try to upgrade buildings without spending too many simoleons, just buy stuff in the trade center if you really need to. 2 don't level up too fast cause you're gonna have low simoleons and you won't able to buy the things that the new level unlocks (happened to me) 3 stop spending any simoleons, only go sell stuff 4 get the taxes but don't get them every 5 seconds but like every 10 hours. 5 check daniels city every day 6 check other players cities because there might be presents for you from the Sims 7 don't rush on things you don't really need, for example if you unlock the education department, don't rush. I waited until 140.000 population to buy it😂. And that's basically it in my opinion... (I probably repeated a few things that are in the video) Anyways great video! Keep It up.
I started yesterday and I am already on level 18 and I barely have simoleons. I only have 10k. I keep upgrading my residential buildings and it made me level up so fast. And it is really hard to keep up with city upgrades.
You have to develop different strategies for playing this game. Sometimes you may want to increase your population by building new structures and upgrading (which will also generate an increase in tax revenues), sometimes you may want to collect Golden Keys (launching disasters and making the repairs is the fastest way), maybe you want to collect Platinum Keys (focus on playing the Mayor's Challenge), and sometimes you might want to increase your Simoleans (I have 7.3 million). I've been playing this game for about two years and it took me a while to develop varying strategies to use depending on my current goal for the game.
Completely agree, although new to the game I do remember my days playing SimTower on PC YEARS ago. Yeah like in a real economy you have to run it in waves, sometimes you have to be lean and cut back spending. Other times you have to spend freely until you hit a certain mark. I thought this game might be different but now having to switch back into that mode.
Thank you for the tips! I'm at Level 25, 350K population, and got 100K right now, and I can get almost 35K a day by taxes and selling items even with a small storage capacity. This helps me a lot.
If you want to get alot of money quickly try burger farming. You can do this with other items as well. For a burger the max price is 3620 but the police in game will buy it for higher. If you buy say 20 burgers, you can sell it to the police and earn extra money that way. But you cannot have other stuff in your storage or else other offers will be made for those items and not your higher priced ones like the burgers. I can get over 90,000 for 20 burgers in the game if I sell to the police in game. So that's a decent profit. If you continue doing this you can easily get lots of money.
I’ve found that selling cream is really good because you can make all animal feed or you can buy 5 animal feed saves you a lot of time for only like 700 sim coins and then make that into cream and sell 5 for 1 thousand or 2 thousand or something. I know that one sells for about 400 so
I played this for a while and then I stopped playing but I kept my city happy and collected taxes for months, now im back on it and it really does help not running out of money. If you stop playing try to collect your taxes everyday and you will have so much money lol
Mine is lvl 27 and my residential construction and upgrade depend on the assignment. If residents abandoned a building due to traffic I have it demolish so that I have space available whenever a new build assignment came
Pro tip: leave SimCity for some time, open it only once a day to collect taxes and maybe if you have time to visit some cities and collect gifts. This method is mostly effective for big population, i have ~1100k citizens and i have 25k daily tax income
I already mentioned that in the video. Even with just 600k population, I got 18k a day just from tax and that is just free simoleons, if you bother to do some production and selling you can easily get 50k or more a day. In just 20 days you would already have 1 million. For a 8 million+ population city, you would get 60k a day just from tax. Easy simoleons.
Im just started playing this game. Funny thing is i used to sell nails, hammer, etc. One day i found that my wife also playing simcity too a few years ago before we married. So i took her city, create expensive thing, sell to me at lowest price and i sell it back at HQ at higher price. Hahaha
Daniel doesn't offer much profit since you can only buy from him like once a day for only 6 items per day.

I am level 10, I don't have much things to produce and they take too long. And I am 3000 habitants away from unlocking the port, should I start this strategy after I unlock it, or start now?
I generally make 50k simoleons a day and still spend a little by making a ton of wood because it’s 100 a pack for only 3 mins. While seeds are terrible in proportion for time and then profit. Then I throw in electronics while I sleep so I wake up to money there too. Back when I was in smaller levels I didn’t know to go slow, but now I am so far it doesn’t matter because I’ve already unlocked everything, but that makes it hard because now I have discovered every type item making it hard to meet demands. Would definitely recommend hanging back around where you can harvest special items and complete deliveries of sorts.
That is exactly my recommendation in this video. The biggest mistake people make is increasing level too quickly without much simoleons. Too much demand to handle after level increase but yet they seem never learned the lesson and continue to increase level. It depends on how often you can check in into the game. If you can check in often then quick items are good but if not, slow items are much better. If I could do it again I would stay as low as possible and stay there.
Because I knew how to play this game, that's why most of my stats were high. It wouldn't be that special if I were level 90. I just did the same thing while staying at level 18, that's all.

personally, i have 3 million simoleons, 3,600,500 something to be exact, and i got there by just selling and besides building up my city, by trading on the global hq, buying under priced goods and then reselling them at their full value, its pretty common, especially with items like animal feed, and they typically sell within 10-20 minutes, i haven't got 10 mil yet, because i always try to go to the trade hq to buy whatever i need, and that's taken up probably 2 million by now, so i would probably have 5-6 million if i did stop spending and just collected taxes and sold stuff, thanks for this guide!!
See, I like the way you have loads of money, but in my opinion I like a style where you get money through buildings and I like making my city look aesthetic, like a normal city.
No matter what you do while playing the game you gotta spent the simoleons to buy stuff like parts to buy land, beach, mountain or store parts..!!! Manufacture in factory, build some shit up in stores and sell that’ll be a much faster process.
I found out my grandad play simcity so I let him in mayors club and I realised he had 5 478 345 money and over 1 mil population so now I can ask him for anything and he will give me it cause I can visit his city straight away when he puts things up for sale
I was in level 20 with 105,000 people but due to lack of money I filed for bankruptcy and made a new city which is doing well, I am in level 10 with 25,000 coins and just invested in a furniture store and cargo port and I am making lots of money by producing and selling, also do not play the game much because you are getting paid tax money alot. You do not level up too fast because lack of coins and etc
Exactly my points here. Do not up level too fast. One good thing about this game is you will never go negative in terms of simoleons so you can just slowly make money by selling and then eventually rebuild everything.

For me it took around 8 months back in the days (2 years ago). Now things could be different since many things have changed in the game I believe. And I was quite experienced when I did this so it may take longer for someone who wasn't experienced. Good thing is that you are at level 15 so you are in a good position to not increase your level quickly.

Well, I stopped upgrading my buildings. You don't have to stay at a certain level, it was just my choice. Just save up enough simoleons until you upgrade for next level.

You can do that on any level. Actually it's better to make and save money at lower level because it's more difficult to make money on higher levels or if you expand too quickly.

Please read my pinned comment or simply watch the video. It even says in the title that this is legitimate. I have been asked this many times and the answer is NO. All you need is time and work hard. It didn't take 2 weeks, but more like 8 months, which makes more sense.
I keep making burger a lot. It's the most expensive item in the game with 3620 each. I'm on level 70 and it works anytime i need money. All we need is just patience to make the materials for the burger XD
Because I didn't just got to level 18. I stayed at level 18 for a long time. You just look around the trade depot and join a good club for trade and eventually you will get there.
I played for hours yesterday but was in offline mode, it ended up reverting my progress back to what it was before I was offline. (why does it tell you that it will save your offline progress if it doesnt) anyway. It had been my first run through the game and by then I already had to redesign my city like two or three times but the sewege, water, and police really killed my city but mostly the sewege. So since it reverted my city I took the chance to design my city with prep spaces for police stations and I was gonna stop upgrading just before lvl 8 and try and make 35k to buy the good sewege plant so all my sims stop getting so mad about sewege plants being near them...
Its already too late for me, I am in the early game, I was going so well, I was happy with my city, my people in city were at 100 percent happiness, but I leveled too darn fast, I am now in trouble as I have less than 1k coins, my people are having mass sewage and water issues. If you guys know how I can recover please tell me how. 😭😭😭

There is a item in factory which i think needs only 25 level to unlock It's called Feed or Fodder i don't remember it's name completely It's take 7 hours to manufacture You can put it for manufacturing before sleeping it would be great. Put it on selling 5 for full price earn you 700 coins So you can make 5600 simoleons every morning you wake up if you have 8 - 5 slot factory For more money you can manufacture cream and earn 2200 coins instead of 700 coins I hope you understand And it helps 😉
Look at the city more carefully and I have some other videos on population and keys. It might not seem true for newbies but if you watch the video and think about it, it's not impossible.

That's what I figured out early: the game *tells you* that the principal way to earn Simolians is upgrading buildings (and tax). But, the amount you make is not quite enough to deal with the increased expenses needed on each level-up: new services and road upgrades. This is where it gets "pay to play" because building and improving houses will keep you broke. In order to keep 100% happiness when you level up, rather than suddenly being in a panic because you need a Clinic now or whatever, is to linger at the top of a level for a while and raise enough money for the needed upgrades before increasing the population again. I disagree with your assessment that level 18 is a good place to be. You don't have the "big ticket" items yet for manufacturing! It seems that Ice Cream Sandwiches and Green Smoothies are the best way to clean up. Also, for these later items (though not at level 18), it does make sense to buy stuff at the market. If you can buy beef, buns, and grills, you can turn out Hamburgers (sell for 3620 each!) with rather fast turn-around time. Some of the largest items have relatively short final assembly time, though what goes into them are slow manufacturing steps. Contrast with Frozen Yogert which takes 4 hours! You should also snap up anything you see for sale at less than full price, as you can immediately resell it for a profit. Finally, there are two different optimal production lines, depending on whether you're active or away. If you're active, you want to maximize the Simolians per minute. But when you are away, you want to maximize the price for what can happen unattended during the time you expect to be away. That is, if you can only fill up you queues once and then leave for 8 hours, you don't care how long that production takes as long as it's less than 8 hours.
No one says level 18 is the best level to stay at. I only said it was a good level to stay at, which was true at least back then when I made this video. Pretty sure many things have changed since then. Level 18 has something higher levels didn't have: Less demand on items in contest of mayors and club wars. Level 18 was the lowest level to join clubs and contest of mayors and you would want to stay as low level as possible for that. Also I wasn't even close to being the most hardcore players and if I was I would have way more than 9 million lol
I started playing a week ago, so am only level 15 😕 have only 102k* population and 12k simoleons 🤭 *My population was only 45k a couple of days ago but due the Black Friday sale, I brought over 15 specialization buildings using more than 30 golden keys and 50k simoleons and that really boosted my population by a bunch.
Thanks so much for the tip, On Monday I had about 13,000 simolions and I stopped spending any simolions and just grinded nails, measuring tape and vegetables and I now got 200k, I started this Monday and it’s been only 4 days! I usually got like 50k a day from non stop grinding. Why aren’t you playing anymore?
Yeah it's not that difficult. Imagine if you do that for a year straight. You could easily have millions. There's not much to do any more with this game.

Why would I tell people to cut spending/stop expanding too quickly/sell stuff if this is hack.
The point of people looking for ways to make tons of simoleons is because they're too low to sell stuff, they've been struggling with materials, or don't want to wait an entire year to make money.

The best advice I have ever seen. I did the same in his time. It would have been super if you also gave a tip for the rearrangement of the city to take advantage of every last drop of space, so as not to spend a lot on roads and police services etc.

My tips are:
1 try to upgrade buildings without spending too many simoleons, just buy stuff in the trade center if you really need to.
2 don't level up too fast cause you're gonna have low simoleons and you won't able to buy the things that the new level unlocks (happened to me)
3 stop spending any simoleons, only go sell stuff
4 get the taxes but don't get them every 5 seconds but like every 10 hours.
5 check daniels city every day
6 check other players cities because there might be presents for you from the Sims
7 don't rush on things you don't really need, for example if you unlock the education department, don't rush. I waited until 140.000 population to buy it😂.

I started yesterday and I am already on level 18 and I barely have simoleons. I only have 10k. I keep upgrading my residential buildings and it made me level up so fast. And it is really hard to keep up with city upgrades.
Yes that's why I made this video. Most people upgrade too quickly and that's one of the biggest mistakes and they run out of simoleons quickly.

You have to develop different strategies for playing this game. Sometimes you may want to increase your population by building new structures and upgrading (which will also generate an increase in tax revenues), sometimes you may want to collect Golden Keys (launching disasters and making the repairs is the fastest way), maybe you want to collect Platinum Keys (focus on playing the Mayor's Challenge), and sometimes you might want to increase your Simoleans (I have 7.3 million).
I've been playing this game for about two years and it took me a while to develop varying strategies to use depending on my current goal for the game.
That's correct. It took me around 6 months to get 10 million Simoleons.
Completely agree, although new to the game I do remember my days playing SimTower on PC YEARS ago. Yeah like in a real economy you have to run it in waves, sometimes you have to be lean and cut back spending. Other times you have to spend freely until you hit a certain mark. I thought this game might be different but now having to switch back into that mode.

Depends on your goal. If you are solely making Simoleons, then I suggest you sell them all. Plus it would free up your storage space.

Like I said, if you only care about Simoleons, sell them. If you want to expand, keep them.
If you want to get alot of money quickly try burger farming. You can do this with other items as well. For a burger the max price is 3620 but the police in game will buy it for higher. If you buy say 20 burgers, you can sell it to the police and earn extra money that way. But you cannot have other stuff in your storage or else other offers will be made for those items and not your higher priced ones like the burgers. I can get over 90,000 for 20 burgers in the game if I sell to the police in game. So that's a decent profit. If you continue doing this you can easily get lots of money.
True but there are easier ways. And burgers are not available at level 18. Not to mention it's so inconvenient to have nothing else in your storage.

I’ve found that selling cream is really good because you can make all animal feed or you can buy 5 animal feed saves you a lot of time for only like 700 sim coins and then make that into cream and sell 5 for 1 thousand or 2 thousand or something. I know that one sells for about 400 so

I played this for a while and then I stopped playing but I kept my city happy and collected taxes for months, now im back on it and it really does help not running out of money. If you stop playing try to collect your taxes everyday and you will have so much money lol

Pro tip: leave SimCity for some time, open it only once a day to collect taxes and maybe if you have time to visit some cities and collect gifts. This method is mostly effective for big population, i have ~1100k citizens and i have 25k daily tax income
I already mentioned that in the video. Even with just 600k population, I got 18k a day just from tax and that is just free simoleons, if you bother to do some production and selling you can easily get 50k or more a day. In just 20 days you would already have 1 million. For a 8 million+ population city, you would get 60k a day just from tax. Easy simoleons.

Unlock the port. It is basically free gold keys and you don't have to increase level or expand to get the port.

I generally make 50k simoleons a day and still spend a little by making a ton of wood because it’s 100 a pack for only 3 mins. While seeds are terrible in proportion for time and then profit. Then I throw in electronics while I sleep so I wake up to money there too. Back when I was in smaller levels I didn’t know to go slow, but now I am so far it doesn’t matter because I’ve already unlocked everything, but that makes it hard because now I have discovered every type item making it hard to meet demands. Would definitely recommend hanging back around where you can harvest special items and complete deliveries of sorts.
That is exactly my recommendation in this video. The biggest mistake people make is increasing level too quickly without much simoleons. Too much demand to handle after level increase but yet they seem never learned the lesson and continue to increase level. It depends on how often you can check in into the game. If you can check in often then quick items are good but if not, slow items are much better. If I could do it again I would stay as low as possible and stay there.

Because I knew how to play this game, that's why most of my stats were high. It wouldn't be that special if I were level 90. I just did the same thing while staying at level 18, that's all.

personally, i have 3 million simoleons, 3,600,500 something to be exact, and i got there by just selling and besides building up my city, by trading on the global hq, buying under priced goods and then reselling them at their full value, its pretty common, especially with items like animal feed, and they typically sell within 10-20 minutes, i haven't got 10 mil yet, because i always try to go to the trade hq to buy whatever i need, and that's taken up probably 2 million by now, so i would probably have 5-6 million if i did stop spending and just collected taxes and sold stuff, thanks for this guide!!

I found out my grandad play simcity so I let him in mayors club and I realised he had 5 478 345 money and over 1 mil population so now I can ask him for anything and he will give me it cause I can visit his city straight away when he puts things up for sale

I was in level 20 with 105,000 people but due to lack of money I filed for bankruptcy and made a new city which is doing well, I am in level 10 with 25,000 coins and just invested in a furniture store and cargo port and I am making lots of money by producing and selling, also do not play the game much because you are getting paid tax money alot. You do not level up too fast because lack of coins and etc
Exactly my points here. Do not up level too fast. One good thing about this game is you will never go negative in terms of simoleons so you can just slowly make money by selling and then eventually rebuild everything.

For me it took around 8 months back in the days (2 years ago). Now things could be different since many things have changed in the game I believe. And I was quite experienced when I did this so it may take longer for someone who wasn't experienced. Good thing is that you are at level 15 so you are in a good position to not increase your level quickly.

How is 345 storage impossible at level 18? Is there a limit or something? NO. All you need to do is similar to saving simoleons. You grab as many storage items from the market and clubs and eventually you will get to 345. Like I said, I played this game for over 3 years. You would be silly to think I got 345 in a month.

This was my second city. I played this city for around 8 months and decided to stay at level 18. You can stay at any level for as long as you want.
Cargolplex I have a doubt . When you upgrade buildings you get experience for it . So you should level up too. So how can I stay in the same level ?

Well, I stopped upgrading my buildings. You don't have to stay at a certain level, it was just my choice. Just save up enough simoleons until you upgrade for next level.

You can do that on any level. Actually it's better to make and save money at lower level because it's more difficult to make money on higher levels or if you expand too quickly.

Because I didn't just got to level 18. I stayed at level 18 for a long time. You just look around the trade depot and join a good club for trade and eventually you will get there.

I played for hours yesterday but was in offline mode, it ended up reverting my progress back to what it was before I was offline. (why does it tell you that it will save your offline progress if it doesnt) anyway.
It had been my first run through the game and by then I already had to redesign my city like two or three times but the sewege, water, and police really killed my city but mostly the sewege. So since it reverted my city I took the chance to design my city with prep spaces for police stations and I was gonna stop upgrading just before lvl 8 and try and make 35k to buy the good sewege plant so all my sims stop getting so mad about sewege plants being near them...

It's take 7 hours to manufacture You can put it for manufacturing before sleeping it would be great.
Put it on selling 5 for full price earn you 700 coins
So you can make 5600 simoleons every morning you wake up if you have 8 - 5 slot factory
For more money you can manufacture cream and earn 2200 coins instead of 700 coins

That's what I figured out early: the game *tells you* that the principal way to earn Simolians is upgrading buildings (and tax). But, the amount you make is not quite enough to deal with the increased expenses needed on each level-up: new services and road upgrades. This is where it gets "pay to play" because building and improving houses will keep you broke.
In order to keep 100% happiness when you level up, rather than suddenly being in a panic because you need a Clinic now or whatever, is to linger at the top of a level for a while and raise enough money for the needed upgrades before increasing the population again.
I disagree with your assessment that level 18 is a good place to be. You don't have the "big ticket" items yet for manufacturing! It seems that Ice Cream Sandwiches and Green Smoothies are the best way to clean up.
Also, for these later items (though not at level 18), it does make sense to buy stuff at the market. If you can buy beef, buns, and grills, you can turn out Hamburgers (sell for 3620 each!) with rather fast turn-around time. Some of the largest items have relatively short final assembly time, though what goes into them are slow manufacturing steps. Contrast with Frozen Yogert which takes 4 hours!
You should also snap up anything you see for sale at less than full price, as you can immediately resell it for a profit.
Finally, there are two different optimal production lines, depending on whether you're active or away. If you're active, you want to maximize the Simolians per minute. But when you are away, you want to maximize the price for what can happen unattended during the time you expect to be away. That is, if you can only fill up you queues once and then leave for 8 hours, you don't care how long that production takes as long as it's less than 8 hours.
No one says level 18 is the best level to stay at. I only said it was a good level to stay at, which was true at least back then when I made this video. Pretty sure many things have changed since then. Level 18 has something higher levels didn't have: Less demand on items in contest of mayors and club wars. Level 18 was the lowest level to join clubs and contest of mayors and you would want to stay as low level as possible for that. Also I wasn't even close to being the most hardcore players and if I was I would have way more than 9 million lol

*My population was only 45k a couple of days ago but due the Black Friday sale, I brought over 15 specialization buildings using more than 30 golden keys and 50k simoleons and that really boosted my population by a bunch.

Thanks so much for the tip, On Monday I had about 13,000 simolions and I stopped spending any simolions and just grinded nails, measuring tape and vegetables and I now got 200k, I started this Monday and it’s been only 4 days! Yeah it's not that difficult. Imagine if you do that for a year straight. You could easily have millions. There's not much to do any more with this game.
@@carbrickscity you could start a let’s play, go through the game again while giving tips about the game as you are a pro player, I think that would be a good idea, but it’s all up to you. I’m level 15 right now and I’m going to level 16 tomorrow and after I get all my services set up I’m going back down to 100k because all the service’s are expensive for a wide area to cover but I can just grind simolions again, every level I’m going to stop and get 2x what I had the previous level I think that’s a good idea so I’m always prepared. Except this video is about how to save and get simoleons, it's not about how to spend all your simoleons. I never say no spending. You are free to spend when you have enough simoleons.
