@the house beginner here and thinking of getting the skate banana. what size would you recommend for someone who’s 5’6” 160lbs and bindings recommendation as well? thanks!
I'm thinking of buying a new daily basis board and I'm in between the TRS and de TRice Pro. I already have a K2 Simple pleasures for pow and groomers but I want something a bit softer with great grip for icy snow that can switch but still can carve well. Which one would you recommend?? I just can wait to try one of them!
You really can't go wrong wither way. The T.Rice kind of came from the TRS back in the day. The biggest noticeable difference will be the bend. The T.Rice is rocker dominant and the TRS is camber dominant.
Would you recommend the Travis Rice Pro for someone who's been on a Burton Custom for 15 years, don't go into the park and like to ride resort trails fast on the east coast and probably do 1-3 trips to the west coast powder a season. Really curious!
Which bindings would you pair with the T rice pro : bent metal transfer (currently have) bent metal solution or union falcor? Not sure which will better match the board stiffness. Thanks for all the help
Honestly all of those are solid choices. They are all Medium to Medium/Stiff bindings so you can't go wrong. We all know Travis rides the Falcor so that's what he feels pairs best with his board. 🤷♂️ FALCOR: www.the-house.com/unfbmmed038zz-union-snowboard-bindings SOLUTION: www.the-house.com/besmomed072zz-bent-metal-snowboard-bindings
@@thehouse thanks for the reply. I am torn between the three. The falcor and solution are medium stiff with a 3* cant. The transfers are medium with no cant. Not sure if the cant makes all the difference? I will be a size medium in bent metal and size large in union so I don’t know if that helps a decision? Size 11 boot.
@@ryanomalley3216 Like I said you really can't go wrong either way. On the flex scale the Solution is an 8 and the Falcor is a 7 so Id say do the Solution for the quickest feel or the Falcor for a slightly smoother feel.
All good choices. I have the Falcor on my Orca(love the stiffness) and Atlas with my 2013 TRice Pro and love them! Never had an issue with Union bindings especially the higher end ones. But Bent Metal is the same company who helps make Lib Tech so cannot go wrong either way brother!
@@powersports4life594 ended up swapping the T rice pro out for the golden orca and went with the falcor. Very happy! Board is so stable at speed and floats in pow
@@zackbutler950 100%, both boards are essentially for a similar rider skill-wise. Riding style the Sk8 banana would be a little bit better in the park and the Snowtrooper would be better out of the park. Both boards still capable of riding everywhere on the mountain though
Oh yeah works on my Rossi..when you hit that long stretch of heavily trafficked hard pack that is nearly ice you will be glad, and you don't have worry about sliding out as much.
Great video. Which of these boards is best for buttering?
Probably the Sk8-banana, It's the softest out of the bunch

150 would be perfect
just picked up the skate banana coming from a 2013 burton process cant wait
Enjoy the ride!

For sure, It is a very similar board to the Custom for a rider with that same all-mountain riding style and needs.

which one is the stiffest ?
The TRS or T.Rice out if this bunch.
What lib tech board would you recommend for an east coast beginner
Sk8 Banana is your best bet. Great all mountain ride that you will never outgrow the performance of.
@@thehouse how would that compare to a never summer snow trooper?

@@thehouse thank you! Out of curiosity is the terrain wrecker a bad choice? I know it’s a little more advanced
@@zackbutler950 Yeah, that's more of an inermediate/advanced board.
do you think magnatraction actually helps or is it more of a gimmick?
Oh it 100% works! Mervin has been doing it for over 15 years and a lot of other companies have similar tech

It works well I have a GNU rider's choice 3 RCC3 With it.
Skate banana vs Bataleon Whatever or similar?
Pretty similar riding styles. Can’t go wrong either way 👍
What about dynamo? xd
Dynamo is sick, a little more on the freeride side of things though. That's why it wasn't included in this video.
@@thehouse same reasoning/thought process for the cold brew as well then?
