I bought an Outpost Command in 2014. Liked it so much I bought another one. It is without a doubt one of the best knives you can own. It works like a knife twice its size and feels like a knife half it’s size. It will do absolutely anything you need a knife for. I got a kydex sheath that works well, and I made a leather shoulder rig to carry it concealed under a jacket. So versatile. The guys at TOPS are some of the best people you’ll ever meet. 👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸
Great video. Your enthusiasm was contagious. 😎 I’ve known the guys at TOPS for almost ten years now, and have over 30 of their knives. It’s the first knife company I recommend. The Outpost Command is very much something you can trust with your life. Mumma Bear loves her Longhorn Bowie. I prefer the Prather War Bowie myself. It’s my edc knife. My absolute favorite knife of any maker is the TOPS Armageddon. It’s my Zom-poc blade. I’ve processed firewood and cleaned fish with it in the same day.
I have had around 15-20 TOPS Knives and by far it's my favourite knife brand but those nylon sheathes... living in Europe you have to send them each time to a custom kydex maker and it gets really expensive and the knives themselves cost like 50% more. Although, I'll keep buying the knife models I like, I wish they start offering kydex or leather un replacement for every nylon. Great review and great knife! I've seen super modifications/customisation on the Outpost Command. I already got the Black Rhino serving the same purpose but this one's handle looks more ergonomic.
I've come to find that most of their knives (not all) will fit in a Spec Ops Combat Master Sheath (which are still pretty affordable and far better quality than Tops nylon sheaths).
Initially I thought this was one of the ugliest knives I had ever seen in my life when I first saw it on the Tops website but then I took a closer look and realized it has some design characteristics that would actually make it a phenomenally functional survival knife. The best one being the thick rounded tip which would make the tip much stronger than a traditional-shaped survival knife. Looks damn near impossible to break that tip. Plus, I am going to strip off the black coating and then dye the micarta green anyway so it will look a lot better when I get done with it. This knife is a diamond in the rough.
For $40 TOPS will refinish it with a cerakote in a different color. I had them do my Armageddon in a camo pattern over 8 years ago and it’s held up nicely.
@@arctodussimus6198 Nice. Didn't know they did that. Here recently I have been stripping the coating off most of my knives and then send it to Way Of The Knife to have them put a stonewash finish on it (since I dont have the equipment to do a stonewash finish myself). They also do cerakote too, but I typically only like cerakote finishes on guns only, not knives.
I own a few TOPs knives. I also do a little metal work. I felt the same way you felt about Outpost Command when I handled the CUT 4.0. Perfect knife. I have processed game with the CUT, and caped and back strapped deer, elk and bear. I would like to know if you have ever used your OC for game processing. If SHTF, I would carry two TOPs knives, the CUT, and the Moccasin they would be able to get it done. Thanks, good video, good knife.
Love Tops blades that one is really cool 😎 customer service is really good too there's nothing that that blade won't do I once used an op7 to knock off a lug nut off a stripped bolt on a tire and it worked used the back of the handle 😊no damage at all and that blade looks awesome 😊❤
I like this knife very much except for the upper swedge. What’s the point of the upper swedge other than cosmetic? All this does is chew up the baton when you’re battoning wood.
"Don't touch my butt whistle" ??? 😅 They should really stop making these sheaths... They make so many great knives, but I just stay away from them because I think there sheaths are crap 😐🤷🏻♂️
Well itlooks like a great knife i have to admit. But you know me price point or custom made of course your choice always ill go custom . But thays a Chuck of a blade
How many mosquitoes does it take to screw in a light bulb? At least 2. If there's a 3td, he's watching. Killer blade&killer vid!! I wanna get the Preyther Bowie&now Outpost Command too.
Sorry to tell you Donnie but some knives you designed are way better than that knife... Even Knives of Alaska's camp knife is much better and practical than that one.
@@DonnieBAllDay...nope, but I have some of the ones I mentioned before and don't see the need to buy that knife. Unless for engrossing my collection. And that knife ISN'T better or more practical than mine. It can't beat the knives I obtained from KHHI and designed by you. Again, my trusted camp and bush knife from Knives of Alaska never failed me and never failed 1000s of satisfied users. TOPS are good knives but every year they come with something new and we end up buying them and buying them and buying them. Long ago I bought a Cochise knife from TOPS and it's a very handy and practical knife. Make no mistake : If you think that's a almost perfect knife it means yours are not. Personally you can keep that one but I will stick with yours...and my old Knives of Alaska Camp and Bush knife.

Being a huge TOPS fan, I have been eyeing this one for years. Your review pretty much cemented it for me brother. Thanks!

The good thing is you can go to ebay for good options on almost any of their blades for sheaths

Not had the chance yet. Being in the middle of a move, I'll get to do more once I'm permanently on my ranch
I have one it's like having an axe head attached to a knife handle. You can build a shelter with this knife👍🏻
Absolutely!
I put the coating on my frosted flakes. There GREAT
Adds a kick
Yeah the Longhorn bowie looks so sweet too!
In hand, it melts into the palm

Tops makes awesome knives , thanks for sharing , God bless brother !
Yes they do
👋🏻 Hey b, from Quincy...
Yeah, I've been eyeing that Tops model for several years, but I have too many of their knives.
There's no such thing as too many
@@DonnieBAllDay LOL...yes indeedy.
I’ll be grateful to know where to buy the Kydex sheath in grey 🙏🏼
Red Hill Sheaths
Nice size DBAD. Great shape, nice and solid but not crazy big. Like the sheath and ‘don’t touch my arse’ whistle 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
This knife is all one should be
as you said Brother, its a perfect knife, great review, love you fam
perfect like Stefan Klaus!
I had one of these knives, I instantly regretted getting rid of it. This is probably the most indestructible production 1095 knife ever made IMO.
Its a beast
@@DonnieBAllDaygotta follow this one up with your opinion on a tough question. This or the Mission Tean 21?
Love the 21, but just one, I keep this@@coolbreezy37

Makes for better penetrating and reducing tip weight
Keeps the balance right at the guard. Makes its balance perfectly in hand, and feel much light than it is.
Honestly,I would say that my dbad Campmaster is the one stop shop knife...
It really is. I need to shoot a side by side
Apparently the 3 holes is morse code for s.o.s
Ahhhh!
Thats really interesting about the "three holes" 😅
I love 3 holes
Is it better than my Ka-bars?.......answer carefully Donnie.
Honestly, far better
