    Holy cow this absolutely smashes all the other DIY weather station videos on here.
    A weird idea for the fourth pylon: a 1,090MHz ADS-B receiver.

    Wow! What model of LEM is that?...
    Meanwhile, I also have used the DFRobot anemometer and wind vein sensors in my weather station too.

    Looks great ! Just wondering when cutting the T-6061 how tight of a tolerance this mill hold wile running those feeds and speeds ? The 5000 series aluminum is more prone to flexing and dose not have quite the shiny finish as the 6000 series is that why you chose to use the 6000 series. If so they also make a 7000 series but its harder to machine. Great work as always

    Bro I'm very jealous with your project because that project is my dream project as a Mechatronics engineering student and I can't figured out how to build like this one 😔

      Best thing you’ll take away from engineering school is breaking complex problems into a bunch of manageable ones! Let me know if you need any help building and good luck in school! You got this!

    I really enjoyed the video. Came across this while looking for info about creating a personal weather station of my own. I would be interested to know of you have a write up or a github with how you did the software side of your serup.

      Thank you! I will have a simple write up on my website that will be live in a couple weeks! I don’t have a github but if more people are interested I could create one! Send me an email and I will send you any files regarding the project!

    Were you successful in getting the GY-AS3935 lightning detector to work? I purchased one and I haven't had much success. Did you use I2C or SPI?

    • @natemakes
      @natemakes  Год назад +1

      Yes I was able to get data back from the sensor using I2C communication. I did notice after I posted the video a few storms came through my area and the sensor didn’t seem to detect any lightning.. which is pretty disappointing. From my research it appears that the on board antenna may need to be tuned to get more accurate results!

    So, do you also have a ham license? Or are you operating this station illegally?

    • @asanbus
      @asanbus 11 месяцев назад

      Is ilegal cook? Es ilegal cocinar? Puedes compartir los datos como aficionado sin tener validez cientifica. Los sensores requieren mantenimiento.

      It's WiFi no license required.
