Mission: Save the Planet!
Three brave explorers - Alph, Brittany and Charlie - embark on an all-important mission. Their goal: to gather the food needed to save their depleted home planet, Koppai. Their best hope is PNF-404, a lush green planet far from home. But when they finally arrive, something goes terribly wrong. The explorers make a crash landing and get separated. The story:
Galactic date: 20XX.
At the far reaches of space lies a planet on the brink of ruin...
The planet's name: Koppai.
Due to a booming population, booming appetites, and a basic lack of planning,
Koppai's inhabitants have all but exhausted their food supply.
Their only hope is to find another planet with edible matter.
Accordingly, they sent unmanned scout vessels called “SPEROs” out into space.
To their dismay, the search is proving fruitless.
Just as they’re about to give up...
The final vessel reports back with news of a miraculous discovery!
They mobilize to investigate the planet, which they name PNF-404.
Koppai's last hope relies on three intrepid explorers.
At last the explorer's 270,000 light-year voyage nears its end.
But as they initiate the landing sequence...
Something goes horribly wrong.
Exploration Day 1 - 08:44 AM Charlie’s Crash Site
Captain Charlie has crash landed on a planet named PNF-404. He has landed on what seems to be a snowy tundra, and luckily he’s landed on a pile of snow, cushioning his fall. He gets up, hoping to find his crew and ship, but instead he sees some strange little yellow creatures with frighteningly large ears. He learns that these are passive creatures who seem to want to help him. He can call them, dismiss them, and throw them. He makes his way forward and enters a cave. He crosses a natural bridge over a flowing river. He find a dark cave, filled with what seems to be floating eyeballs. All of a sudden, the creatures run away. Confused, Charlie looks up and sees why they were scared. The beast opened it's mouth and-
Exploration Day 1 - 08:46 AM Alph's Crash Site
Alph, one of Charlie's team members, has landed in a dense, jungle-like area. Fortunately, he has landed in a pond. He sees, through the jungle rooftop, the SS Drake. He gets up and sees a strange red creature with a long nose. It runs away and Alph follows. It had friends! They were jumping up and down trying to grab something red. Was it food? No, it wasn’t. Like Charlie, Alph learnt to communicate with the creatures, known as Pikmin. These ones, however, were red and instead of big ears, they had long noses. He threw the Pikmin at the red thing and to his surprise, the thing sprouted legs! It was called an Onion. No, not the food, the Pikmin's home. He made the Pikmin build a bridge and bring enemies and pellets back to their Onion so that seeds started sprouting from it. He pulled the seeds out of the ground and they turned out to be more Red Pikmin! He used the twenty-one red pikmin to move a big box in the way. Then he went through a cave and found the SS Drake. His teammate, Brittany called him using the KopPads, but they were cut off. It was getting dark so he went to the ship. He realized their cosmic drive key was missing! That meant they couldn’t leave the planet to go to Koppai. They needed to find it! The Onion was following him, all the way to the next area. He hoped to find Brittany there.
Exploration Day 2 - Garden Of Hope
Alph woke early to find himself smashing walls and exploring areas. Then he saw Brittany. She was trapped in a fence with a glass wall in the way. He then found the thing that they came for: food! A big, red... thing. It had tons of seeds on it, though. He commanded the Pikmin to carry the fruit back to the Drake. He then found a strange, new Pikmin. It was grey, and looked like a rock. He freed all 6 of them from a gelatinous, floating glob and their onion was uncovered by the Rock Pikmin. They smashed themselves against the crystal that had it inside and freed it. Alph then used the Rock Pikmin to break the crystal wall between he and Brittany. Brittany said that she saw a big, yellow fruit and decided to nab it with the Pikmin. Alph found yet another red thing and used the Pikmin to build a bridge to create a shortcut to the Drake and the Onion. And that was a good thing because then yet another day passed.
Exploration Day 3 - Garden Of Hope
Alph and Brittany find a bridge that wants to be built. Alph throws Brittany over the river along with some Pikmin to build the bridge. Then, Alph crosses the bridge and they go to a giant tree stump in the middle of nowhere only to find a big, blue, menacing mawdad. With armour. Made of crystal. The rock Pikmin break the armour and the red Pikmin -got eaten.- hurt the skin below the crystal. And so they defeat the Armoured Mawdad, and it spits out two very useful items. A Data Glutton and a large piece of... 'food!' says Brittany. They get back to the Drake, and Alph makes the signal stronger with the data glutton and they get more food from that big piece of fruit.
Exploration Day 4 - Distant Tundra
They were flying toward the landing area in the Distant Tundra, but the Drake hit something and Brittany's auto-eject kicked in. She fell down a hole. Now she was stuck in a cave. With some strange yellow Pikmin who seemed to be resistant to electricity. In fact, they were acting as a wire. Brittany pulled the sprouts out of the ground and helped the yellow Pikmin. A big light turned on. Brittany then saw that the yellow Pikmin had big ears. She also got a bunch of pellets and made more pikmin appear. They pushed a ball down a slope, which smashed into a wall and set Brittany free. However, there was a bridge that certainly wouldn’t build itself. Alph got to work, grabbing fragments to build the bridge. And after a day's work, both were tired out and Brittany didn’t get any food.
Exploration Day 5 - Distant Tundra
Alph had built as much as he could, so Brittany returned the favour by building her side of the bridge. When they were reunited, they started searching for their Captain. And they found a beast known as a Vehemoth Phosbat. It was a great, flying, moth thing with invisibility powers. They turned a buncha lights on and they walloped it with some yellow Pikmin and It spat out a piece of fruit and none other then... captain Charlie. And with that, another day passed and the team was reunited.
Exploration Day 6 - Tropical Wilds
They made their way to the home of a Sandbelching Meerslug, and found loads of fruit.
Exploration Day 7 - Tropical Wilds
They defeated the Sandbelching Meerslug. Many Pikmin lives were lost to the gaping mouth of the Meerslug that day. And also Brittany was eaten. The Meerslug spat out another piece of fruit and a signal-emitting tech blob.
Exploration Day 8 -Twilight River
Charlie and Alph got to the Twilight River and saw an Onion trapped in a web. It was pink, so the crew of two wondered what power it was going to have. 'Maybe it is poison-resistant.' wondered Alph. ‘Nah, I reckon it’s gonna be able to breathe in water.' said Charlie joyfully. 'What do you think Brittany?'
But Brittany was not there, because she got eaten. 'We really should revive her tomorrow,' said Alph sadly.
They tried to figure out how to get to the Onion. It did not work.
Exploration Day 9 - Twilight River
They did some stuff, and some more stuff, and they found the Onion and freed it. The Pikmin weren’t poison resistant or water resistant, they could fly. And they were pretty weak. Then they did more stuff and got a transmission from Captain Olimar, from Hocotate, who kept leaving his Pikmin 3 tutorial guides everywhere. It looked as though he was in trouble. They had to build another bridge to get to Olimar, but then the day ended because the days in Pikmin 3 take about 10 minutes to end.
Exploration Day 10 - Twilight River
They found and beat the Scornet Maestro and found Olimar, but he didn’t have the Cosmic Drive Key.
And then Olimar ran off with their food and got eaten by another creature.
That Morning
Captain Charlie: why are we here? We didn’t land!
Alph: that hocotaion has run off! With your favourite rubber ducky, captain!
Charlie: WHAT!!! We better get to him ASAP if he’s got my rubber ducky!
Brittany: worst of all, he’s stolen all our food!
Alph: who cares we can just get more
Charlie: QUICK! AFTER THAT DUCK THEIF!
Brittany: honestly who cares about a stu-
But they had whisked her off into the path of destruction Olimar had left behind. They found more food and a new type of Pikmin, the blue Pikmin, who could go underwater. They built a giant teapot thing and made their way to a huge quagmire with an abandoned rocket ship right next to it. There was a big island with what seemed to be a giant piece of fruit in a crystal. But as soon as the rock pikmin were smashing it the island woke up and squashed everything. The Pikmin attacked its feet which made it fall so the fruit on top could be exposed. Then the Pikmin killed it by attacking the piece of fruit that wasn’t even fruit at all. It spat out the fruit (a wayward moon, not a giant red thing) and Olimar turned out to be Olimar's food hungry friend Louie, who said the real Olimar was somewhere else with a golden glob that he thought would be a perfect souvenir for his son back on Hocotate. Turns out the golden glob thought Olimar would be a perfect souvenir for itself.
The next few days were spent collecting all the food they could get off the planet's surface.
Day 22 - Formidable Oak
The three find Olimar, rescue him from a bit of gold, the bit of gold chases them, they run away, they kill enemies, roll balls of steel, build bridges, and eventually they find themselves in a bit of a pickle. The gold thing turned big and the Pikmin were thrown at it's protections. Covered in water, surrounded by fire and electricity, it’s protection box things were gone. The Plasm Wraith could regenerate by sucking up all the bits the Pikmin had knocked off of it so it was very difficult to deal damage to. But they eventually beat it, got Olimar, gave him and Louie a ride to Hocotate, and went back to Koppai.

Yep I'm probably getting this over wind waker for the mk8 promo. I've wanted to experience Pikmin ever since I got interested in it. Never played it. This one looks really good!
