  • The Litter-Robot 3 is equipped with Cat Sensor that detects when a cat enters and exits the globe. To ensure the accuracy and reliability of the Cat Sensor, power the unit off before making any changes that will affect the weight of the unit, including emptying the Waste Drawer, adding or removing litter from the Globe, or cleaning or moving the unit.
When you are done, turn the unit back on. The Litter-Robot will perform an initial Clean cycle and the Cat Sensor will take a new measurement of the unit’s weight. If your Litter-Robot 3 is displaying a flashing red light
or you are receiving cat sensor fault errors via the Whisker app, please follow the steps in this video to resolve this issue.

We have four Litter Robots and love them. As we can afford to add units, we do. Since the company has been sold, the price is very high for rescue groups to afford, and we have not bought a new unit in a few years.

Unlike the rest of the negative comments here, I have had quite good results with the Litter Robot 3. I have 5 cats, so I would need 6 litter boxes. Without the Litter Robot, I would be spending hours cleaning up cat poop and the house would still smell like a litter box. I value my time and nasal passages too much for either of these, so it's a bargain.
On the engineering side, I have been impressed at how reliable the unit is, given that it has moving parts and has to work in an extremely dirty and dusty environment. You do need to understand how the unit works and occasionally do a little maintenance or repair, but generally it runs itself.
The customer service has always been responsive, friendly, and very helpful for me.

@@twitch5393 Yep, looking forward to it. That will mean that I've avoided digging around in poop for three years.
Customer support has been great all along so I expect that will continue even if I have to pay for some parts.

@@n1n3w1v3s Lol so you want to chuck £3000 away on 5 litter robots! And you will have to pay for extended warranty plus wait ages for parts untill your warranty runs out then they don't want to know! Very very good luck lots of people regret buying but if that's what you want to do Knock yourself out. Oh you will be digging poop out of every single section of the litter robot! Better buy some tools and cleaning equipment for your repairs 🤣

These things are junk. We’re on our second robot and these DFI sensors are in the absolutely worst location and clearly designed by an engineer and never made it through QA. All the damp litter slides right down over the sensors and gums them up quickly. Nothing like waking up in the morning and finding a robot stuck upside down. Or you go through all the troubleshooting and of course, the last step tells you you need to replace the DFI sensor. These things are over engineered and have many flaws to their design. The DFI location is the biggest flaw in this design.

I agree, but you should try a different litter. I have 9 cats, two Litter Robots and 2 litter boxes. Ive had them for 4 years and have lost count how many times I've taken these damn things apart and fixed them. Ridiculous for the amount of $ these things cost. I gave up on one of the litter robots because nothing fixed it. It sat here for 6 months, then I saw a video on one thing I hadn't tried and wallah! It works! I've given up on both a few times but try and try and try again. Four years old and haven't had to replace anything because I keep trying! Shouldn't have to. But still glad I bought them.

We purchased our robot, it failed over and over again. Lit robot replaced it with another unit, which has also failed over and over and over. These are over engineered and the sensor placement is awful.

None stop problems from week one! 3 replacement bases untill warranty run out and always had problems. Worse thing I've ever spend money on! So badly engineered and the litter robot 4 is the same! Avoid this company

Couldn’t agree more. Over engineered bubble of junk. You would think for the cost that one would get what they pay for. clearly not when it comes to this unit.

Know what you don’t have to troubleshoot? A regular litter box that doesn’t cost you $600+.

These are junk. Always malfunctions. I’m a cat sitter and CRINGE when a client gets one. I will not rest until they go out of business.

    • @HealingsHeartsHypno
      @HealingsHeartsHypno 3 месяца назад

Well then you'll never rest. Your a cat sitter not a multiple cat owner. When you have a dozen cats and a few years ago you broke both hips and shattered your pelvis, scooping is hard and painful plus I'd need a dozen litter boxes. Even despite the fact that I've had to take them apart and fix them so many times I lost count, they're STILL worth it!

@@nala5598it slacked on me and I've cleaned it regularly. Mine is 4 years old and stopped working. So no, not always about the maintenance of the owner.
