I bought this a few months ago! Currently travelling in Malaysia! Had an accident where my drone dropped into a water fall, after 10mins of it being submerged I salvaged it and 3days later after alot of hairdryering and rice I’m glad to say it started up and seems all good 👍🏼 Never been so nervous to turn on a drone! u might want to have a shot at Genting Highlands, Wang Kelian viewpoint, Temiang expressway or maybe Rawang Bypass...splendid view!
I was a little shocked after I first saw the size of this drone and then even more after seeing the footage that was coming out. Triple whammy with the 30min flight time.

The Mini 3 pro replaced my Autel Evo 2 Pro. The compactness / ease of use and excellent flight characteristics combined with a really good camera made the switch pretty easy. I'm not a videographer, nor a pro photographer so I really needed to ask myself what I really needed in a drone, and this mini really fit the bill.
It’s a great drone for both pros and amateurs, simply because it’s so easy to use, it’s convenient, and it produces great image quality. Glad you’re enjoying your new drone!
It is a crazy good drone. Had mine for a month now... and it is just awesome. I am a new drone user, and it was very easy to pickup, and use. so small.. but handles the wind perfectly. The grey color for me means once if flies away I just can not see it. Have to rely on the controller to have a clue where it is.

I just ordered one. Think I’ll be happy: I have the RUKO f11 gim2 right now and this thing is pretty sweet too. Originally 549 on Amazon and I got it for 347
I brand new into drones thought I did my due diligence on drones and bought the mini 2 flew it week while I was watching you tube vids on the pro 3 . I went ahead and ordered the pro 3 returned the mini and I love the new features thanks for the help
For me, the low noise is a huge plus. At 70-100 m it is undetectable, useful when flying in urban areas and in wilderness spaces that disapprove of noisy drones
I just got one for my birthday and this thing is awesome. I’m headed to Bali in April 2023 and can’t wait to get some amazing footage.
Just picked up mine yesterday.
Today i had first flight with it and it was finally one nice day without fully grey sky and fog,but it was mid wind.
Ngl i was reconsidering it to cancel and postpone it for a better day,but i was too ancipatient and just done it. That beast was doing soo well.
Gonna get the battery charger and 2 extra batteries as well as the ND filters,for sure.

Great review and I am one of those newbies to drones and this was the drone I have been waiting to purchase. It is not super expensive and the features are great. I like that it has sensors and I did get the RC unit which was another bonus. I did not want to have to mess with attaching my smartphone to a controller. Ive only had it for a month and I am getting more confident in flying it and getting some great shots and video but I am still not too confident to fly it in strong winds. Im sure in time I will do that. Today is an example wind speed is 29km/h and gusts are 49km/h and my UAV Forecast app is telling me NOT GOOD TO FLY. So I guess no flying it today :(

As for the DJI smaller drones...they are evolving wonderfully. I recently transitioned from the DJI Spark to the Mini 2 and there is a noticeable difference in performance...i think it comes down to stronger motors. The 2 is quite fast and very responsive and provides awesome video. I also think the controller feels alot more pro level. Hardwiring the phone to the controller made a HUGE difference in streaming footage as well. Im definitely giddy to check out the mini 3 pro next!!!

Great review.. Had mine since they came out in Australia a few months ago. Just love it, great upgrade from the original mini. Tracking, Obstacle avoidance & Time Lapse work really well. Fly time is awesome. Thanks for your video..

Yes I've just got mine amazing .A big step up from my min2se .If anyone else upgrades like I did ,get the flymore kit straight off then get the RC controller when you can .I mainly shoot at golden hour so its not too urgent but the extra brightnes of the RC over most phones is a game changer ,

I think one of the most underrated uses of this drone is that you can throw it in a shoulder bag, or a run and gun camera bag and because of its light weight doesn’t add bulk or additional heft to the bag. Probably the best accessory for the Mini 3 Pro are the prop guards. Once you clamp those on, it’s like a potato and can be stowed anywhere!
Excellent video. I don't have q drone yet but after your review i would feel confident with the DJI mini 3 pro.
I own and frequently a Mavic 2 Zoom with Smart Controller. Since purchasing it, I have had to replace three batteries (not cheap) due to swelling. The Mini 3 Pro is tempting, but the $1350 (in Thailand) price (with a fly more pack) is steep! If my Mavic should fail, get damaged or lost, I definitely will change. Until then, the Mavic 2 Zoom does a very good job.

DJI is the only company that makes me feel like I have to upgrade when the upgrade version comes out, I'm currently using MINI 2, it's good already, but really impressed with mini 3 pro, the drawbacks for mini 2 is at night
It's a great drone for pros and amateurs like me. It's very friendly, comfortable and easy to use. For an islands country like here in the Philippines, my M3P will definitely very useful for my adventure and motovlogging.
Looking forward to mine arriving. I also have the built in screen recorder. I've seen so many pros and cons to it. Many say it's nowhere as good as using your iPhone, but I would argue that every time you use your iPhone, you will almost always have a pitch black hot phone that is useless. I live in California, and it drives me nuts having to use my iPhone 13. I will take screen reliability, than a black screen every time.
And of course, I got the drone because of the size, quality of the camera, and how quiet it is
That happens to me too out here in Bali, the phone throttles and the screen goes dark. So annoying man.
The RC controller is super handy, makes it so much easier to fly. It’s not at peppy as an iPhone but once your flying you don’t notice a thing. It’s awesome

Yes I am newbie to drones. Love the 3 with the RC CONTROLLER. I drive for a living and it is so easy to have on the seat next to me so if I see the perfect sunset I can pull over and be flying before the sunset changes and the moment is past. Thank you for the tips in the review and the beautiful shots of Ireland.

Turn-Off Obstacle Avoidance Sensors will give us more flight time. It's the same way DJI did with Mini 3 without "Pro" suffix. Besides, I wish DJI could provide us some options like:
1) Auto Disable front obstacle avoidance sensors. For backward flight shots.
2) Auto Disable rear obstacle avoidance sensors. For forward flight shots.
3) Auto Disable bottom visual camera. This camera will not being used while altitute higher than 5 meters from the base.
I’m still flying the first Mavic pro till this day. Was wondering if I should go for this mini 3 pro compared to the Mavic 3 which is super expensive. I fly it mainly for video and photography works and thinking of the 12 megapixels in the Mavic pro, I really wanted to get more than that. But this mini 3 pro looks kinda interesting.
Panoramic photos are one of the main features for drones that you really cannot get on other devices (adequately). Highly recommend doing those over other photos if you are shooting scenery!

Amazing footage Sean!! I would love to know more how you expose your footage usually. Do you overexpose and then in post you fix it or you underexpose and fix it later in post? I have the Air2S but sometimes I struggle with D-Log.
Thank you man! I always expose for the highlights, just make sure they're not clipping. It can be helpful to use the histogram to make sure you're not clipping anything

Brand new drone flyer, I love it although I guess I haven't flew anything else to compare it to. Fly more kits still out of stock in Australia since release which is a real bummer. Owned for 100 days with only 2hrs fly time. hard to find the motivation to drive somewhere cool (and far) with only 1 battery. :( Great video tho!
Fave drone rn !! Flew it last night and got so much feedback on fellow pilots lol 😂 they said how did you fit that thing in your bag when they were watching me fly and I brought it down folded it and walked alway and they were left 😮 😂😂🤣 this things a beast and gets the tasks done ✅ ready in less than 30 secs !!! They were setting up there drones and wasting time !! Thankfully I got my job done asap 🔥

Needless to say I have most of those demons of flight exorcised/exercised - so on to proper utility as I wish more to follow shots again of my own like those you've shared here. Thoughts on this compared to the Mavic Pro 2 for stills?
I’m still rocking the mini 1 cause based on how much I’ve used mine, I feel there is no reason to really upgrade to the mini 3 pro, cause if I don’t use something I have now, how will spending 1500 dollars help me do that. I hope I find better places to film

I'd say if you're still on the Mavic Pro this is def a solid upgrade. That's quite an old drone. I'd also look at the Mavic 2 Pro or the Mavic 3 Pro. If you don't need these size benefits those drones are epic

Hi Sean. Have just gone beyond the absolute beginner stage but the shutter speeds etc really bamboozle me and I'm not so sure about auto. What would be a fairly safe setting or settings for general videos.

i got a concrete channel, i use a drone, i have the mini 2, i think the mini 3 might be worth an upgrade because i cant control it, i have to be pouring concrete. with those smart controls i could get some cool shots while i work hands free

Sean, I recently bought a Mini 3 Pro and with no previous experience, am getting some very good results. I do have a question, if you are flying at 100 metres height and head towards a hill, does the drone adjust for 100 metres above the hill? or do you have to adjust yourself? I haven't attempted a maneuver like this yet. You seem to have a wealth of experience flying which I don't at this point. Look forward to hearing back from you.

Hey man! I edited all of this manually in Final Cut Pro. Mostly using the curves. The D Cinelike is quite easy to grade

Hey Wern, I have 3 batteries and charge them at home. 3 gives me about 1.5 hours of flight time which is pretty solid. You can charge the battery inside the drone by connecting the drone to a charger

What can you say about the fogging issue? Been hearing a lot of users that this drone fogs easily.
I haven't had this issue. It does happen when I take my gear from my AC room into the humidity outside here in Bali, but that's the case with all of my gear, not just the mini 3 pro.
180 degree shutter rule should only be a starting point as a beginner. Once you get more experienced you realize how widely it should be broken in both directions for a superior image.
How to download music for videos
i bought a 6 pack of ND filters, comes with 8,16,24,32,64,1000.
trying to figure out how to pick the best one. if i film at 30fps, i want it to look good with 1/60 shutter?
It all depends on how much light you’re working with. ND1000 is 10 stops of light, which is quite a bit. You might use this on a very bright sunny day. I’m surprised it didn’t include a ND 128 or 256, 7 and 8 stops respectively. ND 64 is 6 stops which will probably be good for most daytime and afternoon, and then ND 32, 24, 16, and 8 as it gets darker and darker. Once it’s dark enough you can take it off
I have a pack of Freewell nd filters but have just used the middle one (24) and have used it from very bright sunlight down to cloudy day, and the footage always comes out fine. I shoot in 4k 50fps
