It's a practical aspect Domperidone being a prokinetic agent avoid it as an antiemetic agent in patient with acute gastroenetritis as it can increase diarrhoea
@@AETCMEmergencyMedicine Hello there.I am a medical student from Bangladesh. Thank you very much for these informative discussions. I would like to know that is there any book regarding these discussions. Thnks.
According to Harrison there is no classification of mild ,mod, severe dehydration. Instead classified as no dehydration, some dehydration, severe dehydration.
Most of the infectious type of diarrhoea is caused by gram negative bacteria or non invasive type of diarrhea is caused bypreformed toxin of gram positive bacteria or may be vibrio cholera, which needs no antibiotics. Most of enteric infection is caused by gram negative bacteria and quinoline is best drug of choice for gram negative. We can use Zn ,for earlier healing of epithelium,to upgrade the absorptive property of GI tract.
My sister recently got diagnosed with gastritis...its been 12 days since shes having watery stools 5 or 6 times a day..no abdominal pain..no vomitings..no nausea..can anyone tell me what exactly is it ?
You try to find out the cause of hyperglycaemia and HTN,mostly it should be the same or one etiology, whic will bring them with two different hyper aspects, most of the time it is endocrinologic etiology in my experience.

What if the patient also has hyperglycaemia and a history of hyperthyroidism and at the time she comes to ER with hypertension also .

1/2 DNS recommended in paed diarrhoea.
Reason?
Plz answer.
lecture was good but would be more better if it was in Hindi
In case of diarrhoea for energy purpose is it right to give dextrose
Will dextrose increase the episode of diarrhoea
Can DNS be given ...if no,why not
Glucose containing solutions will increase the stool output.
