Y'all know this is just my opinion, right?
Shocking to not see a red flannel
Some albums are so mediocre, that having a red flannel would be an insult to the albums that actually deserve a red flannel
Shocking 🤓!
lol😂
Unironically this album is like an 8

it shows me "1 reply" and when i click on them it shows me 2, wtf 😭😭
GBP is the weakest song in the album. The best song was CRG, Limitless, Must Be or St Patrick’s

50 seconds in and you’ve already got his history very wrong factually. His Wild West mixtape is where his buzz started, and he never made “violent” drill music. Loading off Wild West had over 100M on RUclips before Doja even dropped.
He's wack either way, who gives a stool?
@ just kinda unprofessional, no?
@@jovanreid6782 you cared enough to comment
idk about violent music but he always raps about being from the streets and stuff. Its really corny, especially since he got his brother stabbed right in front of him and did literally nothing. Why cant he just rap about crumpets
@HirasawaFan So you can only rap about your upbringing in the streets as long as you’re a gangbanger/murderer? Nahhh bro that’s straight bs. I dare someone to say that about someone like Nas with a straight face.

28 and enjoying it. Probably won't listen to it long term but something about Central Cee's professionalism is appealing. Everything he touches is high quality, from his style, to marketing, music videos, production, even in his interviews he comes off as calm and put together. Really the biggest complaint i can see is his delivery and flow getting repetitive which might be the reason i don't listen long term... Basically his execution is really top tier, he just lacks variety.
@@So1oStratsthis is what i always liked about him. His brand is real clean and sharp. Different from American rappers.

No mention on CRG with Dave pretty much sums up Fantano in a nutshell, the same guy that rated Psychodrama a 6 and some meady Lil Pump album a 7😂
Fr, that shits a banger no question
He also didn’t upload his reaction to Sprinter with Dave & Cench cos he knows the song was a banger when it came out, especially lyrically and he had nothing to hate about it 😂
That lil pump album hyped me more than this garbage
He’s given loads of UK rap albums good reviews, maybe he just rightfully thinks Dave and cench are overrated 😂
@@BlueLomis Cench I can understand but Dave's music is up there with some of the best rap music to come out the UK. He shouldn't be rated lower than a meme rapper ffs

It’d be a 10/10 if it were called “Can’t Rush Gayness”

If the album was called "Mandem cant rush greatness innit" you wouldve give it a 10.

Fantano should make an album to show everyone what real instrumentals and transformative lyrics and delivery sounds like
I f with Central, I just feel like that UK drill flow gets repetitive after a while.
He changed flow on CRG with Dave but Fantano didn’t mention it😂
I think you guys misinterpret what drill is what central cee doesn't isn't drill it more of trap than anything he isn;t drill at all
@NealTenothat shit still repetitive af

Central Cer not getting a red flannel is a huge surprise
How is the delivery on Up North and the delivery on St. Patrick’s the same? He has more deliveries than a Westside Gunn or a Mike 🤷🏽♂️ his entire flow is about the rhythm. Like many other rappers, especially in this style. Not gonna mention the flow switches or dense multi syllable rhymes?
American rappers are better cause thats who everyone is emulating. You can act like someone better than they can 😂 😮

True. Not a fan of half the album because the flow is repetitive however that track really does show the good side of it 🔥

I really started off liking this album after not listening to him before, but mid way through the album I got bored of listening to what sounds mostly like the same song each track & I haven't gone back to it since. Nah man same flow. Every song sounds like the last one.
Production was good, but he isn't the producer
@ but isn’t that what draws you to an artist? Every song” sounds the same” cuz that’s his flow? 😂. If you don’t like it fair enough. I’m ngl I hate it when artists try some new shit. I listen to that artist because I like how they sound!

It's a pure rap album, if you don't like rap/uk drill then ofc you won't enjoy it. The songs on this joint are fire, the production is amazing and a major step up from Cee's previous project and the overall lyrics and feats are also really good. What like a light 6 oh my god you’ve become bald
The album really did all blend together... nothing jumps out, everything had the same flow. Certainly not an album you'd sit and listen to front to back.
limitless was a beautiful song, the lyrics really hit home with me personally. band4band is obviously a great song. other than that though, very mid album for how much this dude hyped it up. and no i dont think GBP is a good song.
How low are your standards that you think band4band is a great song
@ why is it bad? It’s an awesome bragging type of hip hop record done very well. Beat is dope, hook is good, both of them flow perfectly on it. It’s catchy, very well produced…? Broke multiple UK streaming records for a reason, only an old head “lyrical” enjoyer would dislike the record because the lyrics aren’t deep but that’s the not point of the song. It’s a high energy motivating type of song.
Band4Band is carried by a really filthy beat what neither artist does anything fun with IMO
@ ya i mean music is subjective at the end of the day. i thought the hook was brilliant the way they go off each other for 3-4 lines it was hard af to me. the beat is obviously insane though for sure. they could've come up with better lyrics outside of the hook though imo.
@@balance1619 You don't have to be an old head to be a "lyrical enjoyer" . There are plenty of young people who prefer their rap served with intellectual stimulation to mind-numbing fast food music for the hollow-headed masses, believe it or not.

Hey Melon, if you're looking for some new experimental hip-hop stuff I would recommend the new o0o record "Album Music". It really takes extremely trippy and harsh synths and beautiful piano's and combines them with elements of industrial hip-hop and rage music. It's genuinely unlike anything I've heard and just sounds awesome in general, I compared it with last years Iglooghost album in my head as it's just a very cool and layered showcase of production skill and experimentation.
Hope you give it a listen!
Yeah....I'd say I agree on this...I was listening live on PBM stream and was feeling the album until about the third or fourth song...The cadence was very monotonous and continued throughout... Individually they are good songs though... He might have rushed greatness on this one... He's still up and coming so he can learn and diversify (hopefully)...He has a good flow
You should listen to SCH last album. It's french rap but the musical influences of french variety makes it a great listen even without understanding the lyrics. Clearly my favorite rap album of last year !
Plus, if most french rap is an importation of american rap, SCH is among the few french artists that has his own style of music.
What other french rappers are you a fan of? I used to blast te Mannschaft track heavy. Haven't heard anything else from him though. Did see him as a feature in a another rappers video.

Oh man missed opportunity to say 'Alrighthony Ceentano here' 😂
I'm dying for him to drop The Weeknd album review.
out of topic, but your fit is legit fire and comfy at the same time
He gets too much hate to be honest, but I understand that some times. I was only one who enjoyed that album? I would give it 6. Solid album
It's a dope album....fk this clown
I have multiple songs that I have on replay from it, but I don’t base my opinion on musical knowledge rather how the song makes me feel. However I do agree that the tone the ‘hits’ bring is consistent, but hey he’s very good at it much like tyga is great at making club hits. I disagree that the whole album sounds the same, I thought he brought some variety to his usual style
song with Dave.. limitless.. now we’re strangers.. and a couple others are really good to me. the entire album as a whole isn’t amazing (even though I think the songs could work alone)..
as long as I take a few on a playlist I’m happy lol
This is really what he’s doing instead of The Weeknd
What i was thinking
Central Cee is def my guilty pleasure. I can agree with all the criticisms, but I honestly enjoy his repetitive flow and sound. My biggest issue with him is his insistance on cringe lgbt punchlines. I get why he does it from a marketing standpoint because that line helped Doja blow up, but it is cringe and lame. And other than Doja, he hasn't even done it in a way to create the type of controversy that sells records. I shouldn't feel relieved that he "only" made gay jokes on 2 songs off the album.
But cringeness aside, I don't know, Central Cee just scratches an itch for me that other artists don't. I enjoy Dave, but he hardly ever releases. I tried to explore other UK drill/rap on Spotify but I couldn't find anything that really stood out - could be a skill issue on my part though.
listen to alpha place by knucks I think this is quite similar
Try little Simz, JME and Kojey Radical. And if you like boombap/90s style hiphop try Ocean Wisdom and the four owls
Central Cee would be bagging groceries in a Tesco if Doja Cat didn’t exist
He'd be hanging around the car park hoping someone forgets to get their quid back out of the trolley.
@@bronmill33 he had music videos with 100m+ views before doja

He did give psychodrama a 5 so can we trust the UK rap judgement?
never thought you could make an album where is basically the same song 17x, that is somewhat fascinating
I saw you’re still going back and reviewing a couple projects from last year, so one request I have is Foxing’s self titled album. I know you weren’t a fan of them in the past but their self titled album is by far the greatest thing they’ve put out.
Please review
RENO by Red Leather (2023): Been requesting this one since it came out lol. Really good underground(?) rock album, especially for someone starting out and recovering from drug addiction
Chinatown’s Favorite by Khantrast (2025): Pretty decent album for another new album. Kinda sounds like an asian Kyle Richh.
I’ve got no clue how talented new artists don’t get the attention they deserve while ppl like Ice Spice do 😭
MIKE NEEDS A 10!
real
may be recency bias but it feels like his best yet
Everysong on this album has a similar flow and bpm. Despite that shortcoming I was kind of impressed how he could make different vibes without changing that much per track. I really like St Patrick as a hustle song and Now we're strangers as a relationship breakdown. Up north and top freestyle are pretty good too but that's 4/17 songs. Really proved that Cench is a singles artist, which I pretty much expected going in
That description flamed him😭😭 but he’s completely right. Greatness and central Cee doesn’t belong in the same sentence
i love the song where central see says we can go mid for mid. this references the fact that he is actually dababy in a uk disguise.
dont compare dababy to cench we were all bumping dababy back in 2019
If the album name was, To cant a rush greatness it would be 10/10
Yep. Exactly my thoughts after listening to this upon release. Central Cee’s image is the real reason for his fame rather than mid artistic ability
This is like an 8 for him tbf

I don't like Central Cee, but you don't like rap.
You'd have given it a ten if he didn't try to rush greatness

There’s a song called gen z love on this album? Yea that just gave me more of a reason to never listen to this album.
Musical equivalent to a cheap watery milkshake. There is nothing to write home about in particular, and it tastes exactly like you'd expect. Bland, Mediocre, and watery.
Saying this while having Drake on ur pfp is crazy

If this was called rushed greatness you would have given it a 4
I don’t consider Central Cee a serious artist - he’s the rap equivalent of Rita Ora, soulless dude just looking for radio hits here and there. But there is a wider issue of UK rappers not being able to put together a body of work anyway. Kano can do albums, Little Simz can do albums, and Stormzy’s debut was great. Other than that they’re just a collection of songs as opposed to albums. Even talents as great as Dave and Skepta have never put together a compelling and structured body of work, it’s like a missing skill tree from our landscape.
He said he was working on the album since 1 year (so not „for years“)
Rating this higher than cherry bomb is crazy
1:51 Damn Anthony !
I started listening to UK rap in the mid-90s and 10 years later I got tired of their strictly identical flow. I listened to this album out of curiosity and like you I found that 1-It sounds very commercial pop and 2- This repetitive flow 😓 I haven't finished the album
1:03 that sound acting is fire😂😂😂
Let’s get that deafheaven review !
Central Cee just isn't an "album" artist. His style of music is too repetitive.
Anthony, you should have saved our time and just said “I can’t relate to this album, I’m not the target market.”CRG is crazy good considering where Cench is in his career right now.
central cee is the new dababy
the uk drill flow in the outro to this vid is wild 💀
Indeed, that flow got stuck and did not move on…
Central Cee is a hit maker with serious potential. He’s got that pocket and the fun stupid bars - I seriously can see him making a classic pop rap album that generations will love
You sound stupid no generation will like any of this trash music, the Album is trash unless you're eleven year old girl 🤦🤣🤣🤣

This awful. Early contender for the worst album of the year. Bro just got cooked by Aitch.
waiting this long for mid is crazy work
I’m from the UK, more specifically from West London where Cench is from - thank you for validating my ambivalence to this album. I can not escape it here right now. It’s #1 and it’s everywhere
He has a specific sound like all artists and if you like it, you’ll like the album. I’ve already played the album more than GNX tbh lol. Solid 6.8.
We are waiting for hurry up tomorrow!
I like Cenchs music but I have to agree with you. I’m glad he added more personal tones on this record but the click bait cheesy lyrics and repetitive tones ruin it.
This is a pretty low effort review from Anthony. He does not bother to go into individual tracks that are decent like Limitless and Ten for example. He says there are not catchy hooks, but there are some pretty decent ones. He also says the flow is the same throughout the record which is kind of true, however he fails to mention the songs where he does switch up his flow.
Low effort review and probably did not listen to the album that much. However the final score is not very surprising and the album is not amazing, but it’s decent.
I feel like he just doesn’t rate Uk rap, pretty much a representation of the US in general. Every review he seems to do he spends moments talking about the accent etc. and the issue then becomes that those from the States take his word for gospel 😂
@@etrur2595 He actually does rate UK rap. He gave Simz and Dave's album a yellow flannel believe it or not

1:04 the central cee impression sounds like kermit
Central Cee was asking for that "can't rush mid". Calling your album "Can't Rush Greatness" is Spinal Tap's "Shark Sandwich" level of setting yourself up
It annoyed me on “Wild West” that he kept recycling lines from his other songs. It made me get bored of the tape very quickly.
