Zone 6 Officers Arrest Business Burglary Suspect

On December 4, 2023, around 5:43 am, officers responded to a reported burglary at 349 Decatur St. SE. The location of the incident is a clothing boutique named “According to Fashion”. This business has been the target of several burglaries recently, which led to a swift response from the officers now familiar with the location. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who is also the owner of the boutique. The victim informed officers that her security surveillance system had alerted her to an unauthorized entry by a male suspect. The surveillance footage revealed the suspect inside the store, stealing a red jacket and a pair of jeans. Officers immediately began canvassing the area. During the canvass, they observed a male walking along Boulevard who matched the suspect's description and was wearing a red jacket. The officers proceeded to interview the male. After the interview, and upon further confirmation that he matched the suspect’s description captured on the surveillance footage, officers detained the male suspect. The business owner was able to positively identify the male as the suspect and confirmed the items that were stolen. The suspect was identified as Julian Oconner, who was born in December 2000. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Burglary (involving items valued over $500) and Theft by Taking. Oconner was transported to the Fulton County Jail without incident.
