I do miss more collision, but I can live without it. The camera is definitely my biggest problem with Co-op though. Its especially hard to tell what's happening when everyone is an Elephant. Still an amazing game overall, but I hope they can do something with a patch to make Co-op feel a bit more...*intentionally* fun.
They should've added an option to turn collision on in local-multiplayer, that way people can enjoy co-op the way they want to whether it's meant to be chaotic or more cooperative
I totally understand where you're coming from, but I can see the advantages of the trafeoff. My younger siblings tend to be more interested in playing the game "properly", and get into not-so-playful fights in multiplayer when something goes wrong. These changes would benefit people who want to play the game this way. At least we can still fight over reaching the flagpole first.
The thing I liked was how in new super Mario bros you could bubble when doing multi player. Made things a little easier. I play with my 5 year old and she’s having a tough time. I love donkey Kong tropical freeze where I can just carry here through the tough parts.
Interesting points. I enjoyed the shenanigans in prior titles but find the approachability of the Wonder a benefit. Much easier to have fun with family who are less experienced in the genre. The Yoshis provide a unique interaction that while not malevolent, is hilarious and had me and my gamer buddy giggling as we jumped on and off each other tongues flying everywhere. The camera issues might be eliminated by playing in a private online co-op room, of course that requires multiple Switches and game copies.
Yeah I still had tons of fun, feel like I harped too hard on it in retrospect 😅. I think even for a lot of more relaxed co-op it’s great, I think playing through there were just a few courses in specific like the hoppycat wonder effect that were a little frustrating but even then we were still laughing through it.
I was personally okay with the change, bittersweet as it is for me (I grew up playing NSMBWii with my cousins), considering we got 2 games with it. It also allowed the level design to be more compact instead of needing to compensate with enough room for 4 people, like the previous 2 games did. While I completely understand the complaint, I see it more as a matter of preference rather than one being better than the other. To each their own.
I really miss being able to interact with other players in co-op especially being able to pick someone up now i can only pick up as a yoshi and then camera is a problem at least to me
I haven't played local multiplayer but online with my younger brother, so i would say that the players not having collisions have been amazing idea for me since you cannot secuence brake jumping on other ones or the simple fact that every level was a headache since i grown playing snes games where you mostly hold "y" to run, we constantly would grab any of us randomly causing chaos everywhere without saying the times where my little brother used to throw me to kill me because he wanted to, i like the more simplified and cooperative way that Nintendo took for mario wonder, all tough a toggle would have been fine for local multiplayer also im impressed by how the more co-op path Nintendo took had an interesting effect on people since I've seen how people help other ones online and even i have gifted powerups to whoever needs them

Yeah when we played it together it was lacking. It felt like two player was just complicating the whole level as opposed to being fun and cooperative.

I think it would be fun to have collisions toggled off when a player push the run button.

you can manually go ghost in Wonder by holding the triggers, although you can only stay in that form for 5 seconds before dying.
@@ObadiahHoss I had no clue. Thanks!
@@thehound1359 My bad, it might be holding both , not triggers
It just knocked this game off the list of party games to bust out after a few drinks. Aside from that the local coop is workable.

I’m glad you harped a bit. The game deserves and will get lots of praise but the Big N deserves scrutiny too.

i just throw shells at my friend, im yoshi and he's luigi, i can hurt him but he can't hurt me, it's fun :D
Same, I'm the Yoshi too. I help when you need me but I will also exact my vengeance at times

That and…. Bosses.
Agreed, I had to add an asterisks and make that the first line of the descriptions to maintain my personal integrity haha

Yo, why is it also that controls are shared with literally everyone? When you change controls, it changes for everyone. That makes 0 sense.
Can you make a gag tutorial on how to make the “ledge grabbing pulling yourself” up mechanic from the Flintstones rescue of Dino and hoppy
Would You Rather Boost Mechanic Or Drop Dash Mechanic?
They also made the game to short cuz after you get a wonder seed you often go straight to the flag pole
0 seconds! 😂
Dang. Lightning speed 😂
@@DaveNodon Lol yeah also love the video! 😂
Nintendo caters WAAAAAAAAAAY TOO MUCH to little kids in Wonder compared to other Mario games
within 3 minutes
In Part 5 of Sonic (Boost Is Easy I Learned it! but...Drop dash Is Hard)
YOU HAVE A SON!????
Yes, he’s my best buddy
Hmmm...
