@@BarefeetB Not even. Not the best v8 I’ve ever heard, is definitely the best V8 supercar racecar. It sounded different and Scotty did things that no one thought that was on the board with that car.
@@BarefeetB its a flatplane v8, able to rev higher and doesnt have the huge counterweights of a usual crossplane v8 so its lighter per HP albeit slightly less torque. the sound is different because the cylinders fire at even intervals rather than odd.

They chose to use a flatplane crankshaft -- the big-end bearings located two up and two down in a "flatplane", instead of the four big-ends staggered 90 degrees apart like a crossplane crankshaft.
