Whenever I see the #5 Ford Falcon, I think of Gran Turismo. Thank you, Kaz. For making us fall in love with cars.

Was there during this era for a round at Barbagallo. Seto drove it like he stole it, and broke a front splitter/bumper twice that I remember. Thanks for sharing.

No better era in my opinion for Australian touring car racing, Johnson -ingall -seto -larko-morris-skaife-perkins-bowe , the list is endless , these blokes brought personality to the already great spectacle, you can shove the gen 3 super sedan cup were the sun don't shine as we've simply lost the magic !

And the thing was, you would legitimately have 20 drivers who could win. Johnson, Radisich, Seton, Skaife, Ingall, Perkins, Murphy, Ambrose, Bowe, Clowndes, Brad Jones, Brighty, all those guys were race winners, from all different teams and both manufacturers. Now, there’s what, 6? drivers with a real chance of winning? I used to watch every single round from when I was about 8 through to now, and im 45 now, and I barely watch Gen 3 because they’re just not interesting to me, and Skaife is so far up RBR ass it’s just painful to listen to.

These were the days. Fantastic Australian built race cars. The teams put big money into them, and they were superb.

Man how good did that in car of Seto’s Windsor sound? Such a sweet sounding motor. Such a good race motor.

It would've taken a fair bit to edit this all together. Thank you very much!

And then the #5 Ford Falcon AU became the #24 Ford Falcon AU for the 2004 season, which was driven by Garth Walden.

Most hated the A.U.s as of their rounded (aerodynamic) design. Rumour has it their aero was hobbled as they were too aero dynamic. I drive a 99 manual tickford ute...
170,000. Ks .. , had an au as a company car.
Left ELs in the dust round corners... now, i love big SUVs that tailgate me thru corners... some panic brake, some break rims on kerbs.... i like it, gets 96yo mum and wheelchair to appointments... and a bit of fun if feeling vindictive.

I think we need to go backwards a little modern supercars are boring.
The 80s to early 2000s rocked.
