Weather Strip looked good on your doors. Winter is definitely here. Man you got that roof cleaned looked very nice. You all have a good weekend and tel Kim she did a excellent job on filming.👍😎✌️
Kim you really did a great job on the camera work. There's RUclipsrs out there that been doing this for a while now that don't hold a camera that still . Great job on putting the trim up around the garage doors. Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family. 💯👍👍🙏🙏✌😁✌
Your a heck of a Handyman BW! That'll make a big difference in the temps inside the garage! Kim's a natural doing the camera work very nice and steady! Kim you should also try your own Channel you know you'll have plenty of subs of you decide to. Have a good one both of you!✌
Thanks Don, the wind would rip right through those air gaps, it's even a little less wind noise inside now. I was very impressed with Kim's camera work while editing and let her know it too. Maybe she gets a channel soon. I've suggested it a few times.
Yea, I used to shove blankets in that crack from the inside but then couldn't open the doors or the blanket would fall out. These brushes are the best solution I could find. ✌
Still working on getting my engine together.. had the heads completely redone, and have the bolted back on. Still have to do the rocker adjustments , then the rest of the top end stuff (intake, carbs, distributor, wires..etc). Doing a little at a time as no shows to go to anyways at the moment.. filmed most of it so will have a video up again soon. Love the sweeps.. should be an improvement.
Nice job BW you have really good work habits I'm the same way I do thing the best I can never half ass a job and for it being your wife's first time filming you she did it like a pro..have a great weekend guys and girls lol your friend from louisiana Rick427
Hey thanks Rick. As soon as I started the editing, I noticed how great the camera work was and told her great job too! Thanks for checking out thr video my friend. ✌
I think Kim Should start her own crafts channel. Good work on the camera too! I'm thinking of doing that same thing cause I do have some gaps on my door.
I can tell you. It's less wind noise inside garage now, and the wind doesn't get through now. Hoping holds heat better. Will let ya know next time I turn heater on
I've seen 5mm foil foam foil rolled insulation glued to the inside of the door to help keep the cold and heat from penetrating through the door and it rolls right into the door when opened and closed.
Hey thanks Dale, here is the link to the company web site, I bought straight from them and door to door in 3 days. "8x8 Brush Seal Kit - Jacor" jacorinc.com/shop/products/brush-seals/brush-seal-kits/8x8-brush-seal-kit/
They are holding up well, the only thing I would do different, is when I ordered the building I wouldn't get two doors, just one in the center. The brushes are good for what they are/do. ✌️
It appears that your side seals are installed improperly. They need to be installed tighter against the door so that the brushes touch the lower rib of the door. You have them only touching the higher rib, and are not getting a proper seal. With the door closed you should see the door rib pattern on the brushes, yours are basically flat.
Instead of using the self tapping screws, would you be able to use the existing screws in the flashing and just drill holes in the brushes to match up with flashing screws? I've got the same garage and plan on doing this, so I was just wondering.

Love that table.. With the cut marks!
And Sweet DD SPEED SHOP sock hat!
I've used that table for about 20 years, and I've been waiting for the cold weather to break my DDSPEEDSHOP knitty back out! Take care brother
@@bwsgarage How thick is that top? Whats holding it together?
It looks cool like that...
3/4" screws nails and a little bit of luck Henry 😆

Good job on the doors and the 55 roof BW, looks great!

Thanks Paul slow but steady and now at least we will be a little bit warmer doing our stuff 😀
Man that car roof is really clean .!!!
Took some wiping but we got the tar all off! ✌
Hey BW. Nice job on the doors. I did that on my Shop doors a couple of years back. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Thanks Andy, hoping for an improvement this winter with keeping some of the cold out and heat in
That’s a good idea, I need to do that to my shop. I have that gap on the top of my shop door. You did a good job on the roof of the 55.

I've suggested to her a few times to make a channel, I am happy with the brush seals for sure
Thanks BBK!
Great Job you both! 👏

Yep I need to address the same deal on the shop. Can’t wait to see how much that helps.

Great video. How about a 1 year update? Happy with them? Anything you would do different? Thanks!
They are holding up well, the only thing I would do different, is when I ordered the building I wouldn't get two doors, just one in the center. The brushes are good for what they are/do. ✌️
@@bwsgarage I know what you mean. I went with a single 18W x 12H door instead of 2 doors.

You have them only touching the higher rib, and are not getting a proper seal. With the door closed you should see the door rib pattern on the brushes, yours are basically flat.
Your mistaken, they are correct. When. I open the door the brushes hold the rub shape and when closed they make full contact with lower rib

I'd have to go back and look, I don't think there are enough flashing screws. You will be happy with the brushes. It really helps in winter months
Hi, did you go with the medium duty or the Heavy duty skirting? thanks!
I used the medium duty JaCor brushes. The difference is 4" brush vs 5" brush.
Hey good job Kim !
Hey BW what kind of camera do you use for your channel?
Go pro Black, ✌
Thanks Swampthang!
Awesome! What did you insulate the inside of the shop with?
1 1/2" foam board
I'm suprised you didn't already have those. you'll notice the difference
Hoping so brother
