De Vaca was first European on US soil and wrote memoirs about his years as a slave with different tribes. The tribes basically looked for food 24 hour hours a day. Usually they survived on nuts acorns grubs, remember this was before the horse so the tribes were on foot and had dogs drag the supplies. Basically it was hell. Starvation and survival was what natives did back then. A terrible existence.
"De Vaca was first European on US soil " in the mid 1500's? Maybe, as a child, you missed the song, "In fourteen hundred ninety-two Columbus sailed the ocean blue?" De Vaca was only two years old when Europeans discoverd America. Also, the life you describe for tribes is only relatable to certain tribes in the deep Southwest. Eastern and Southeastern tribes planted crops and lived in small villages. In fact, it was maize he and his soldiers looted from the Southeastern tribes that kept them alive as they ventured west. He documented that one of their raids on a village, found the village burned but "The fileds were left unharvested"....and they looted from these.

It's *swarthy 😂 and no my guy no African presence till the slave trade. That goofy redbone Dane Calloway just hates being white and black. Sad

good series
I love your story ❤
Let's first understand that the Five Civilized Tribes don't endorse the government label "Native American ".
- Choctaw Nation
No beasts of burden, no wheel technology, no heavy metallurgy. Circumstances of geography.
Social decay, cultural degeneracy, a self inflicted mortal wound. Due to social media rot, and ignorant oppulance.
What an amazing interview. Thank you.
Is that Geddy Lee narrating?
I'm sure life was much better for the First Nation's before colonialism!! My Grandfather was beaten to death for being Cherokee.
Someone almost always took out a preexisting culture
ahh, the paradise before EVERYTHING was owned. if only we could have that freedom once again without losing our modern conveniences and tools.
That’s a fantasy… it was no paradise.
Good work
What were the Americas called before the Europeans arrived?
Great stuff
The ingenuity of humans is amazing, from hot deserts to frozen plains, all we can do is dream about how these civilizations would have evolved if not for the disruption of the Europeans.
It seems that the world has been populated with even more people than we currently have. Many times. Population control isn't a swear word, it's essential. It is exciting to think that we could get it right together in peace. Without walls, forts, military weapons, evil, canni-bal-ism, slaves, etc. Very exciting. Let's pray about that. We have to love our flaws, love ourselves, love all humans everywhere, see ourselves in their faces, their pain, we have to care. Love ya'll.
Amen! Thank you lord. I am so grateful for all the love and guidance you have provided for me & my family. I give all the glory to you!! I love you
You are fake who most likely has very devious thoughts in the back of their mind. They are afraid to tell anybody. Praise the lord! I see right through you
Wrong street corner stop light there gal.
Move along.
I love your culture... ❤
And they eere all so beautiful.....
Native people world wide thrived. Same with my iron age people of Britain before rome violently entered and tore down our ancient systems.
This is the story of the human race. A group develops better weapons and greater manpower and they overtake another group. Over and over for as long as there have been humans. Every human alive today has a history of ancestors that were the winners, and were the losers at some point in history. It's the ugly truth. If anyone thinks their people are pure as the driven snow, they haven't looked back far enough. I'm not commenting on the morality of it, just stating a fact.
Land Makes The People”. The loss of cultural diversity is all Humanites loss.
Great stuff.
Wow what a great story
Please keep you culture and teach your childrens....
But correctly, if even possible.
Did they talk about cannibalism and the Native American tribes that committed genocide?
Ya'at'eeh from Apacheria in the Arizona Territories Ahe'hye'e
They were very primitive Indians. They were all, without exception, illiterate. They didn’t know the wheel nor basic mathematical concepts like that of zero and they had no writing system. In 1541 they had not reached a level of technological, cultural and scientific advancement that in the old world had been achieved thousands of years ago
But the Iroquois waged genocidal war on the Huron?
And France and the UK tried to wipe each other out, the UK starved the Irish in the millions. What's your point exactly? I don't think you know your own history very well by this comment.
It's literally not a like for like comparison by any means 😅
Our founding fathers took many points from the Iroquois federation.
Thank you for some secrets of the seafaring people thats very good stuff to know!
बहुत ही सुन्दर ❤
Hello my friends ✌ 😊
Well I kinda think, these tribal systems were amazing and seem like people have lost something in the modern world, like there's a hole in our modern society that has caused suffering drug abuse and poverty..
Read the Book of Mormon…….it will tell you. It’s a record of approximately 2,500 years of the Native Americans on this continent.
The Country and Natives were beautiful. Then Evil came and just look at now , sad 😞 hopefully TMH comes very soon and puts an end to all Evil.
I think they had a beautiful culture... move the teepee and the grass would grow back, they didnt hurt the earth at all... didnt take more than they needed,.. they had marriages and laws, . I know they "war'd" alot. But thats the way the "old world" was. The braves were exactly that.. lil bad ass's lol... idk? I long for that way of life... i wish i was born back then...
😂😂😂😂
Never ending stories of different peoples throughout time, gets to be predictable.
A hell of a lot better. Im sure. This was and is their land always.

Read “Empire of the Summer Moon.” Highly informative nonfiction account of the West focused on the Comanche.
Forge on . Get informed. Be wise, not fooled.
Kratum is good 😂😂😂😂❤❤
Do not ever forget that just as there were peacemakers von the Indian culture .. You must never forget the warring between tribes that resulted in complete destruction of many Native American societies going back 18,000 years or more …
Follow the complete destruction of native societies over the 500 years before 1492!!!!
And that matters why exactly? If I see a couple fighting, does that entitle me to their home? What exactly are you implying? Are you ignorant of all the savage wars in Europe all of a sudden?
@@timasuna1756exactly
@@chxnelli These guys don't even know their own history, or else they would know about the wars of the roses. And all the brutal things the Euro nations did to each other let alone other people.
Interesting fact, the potato famine was a lie. The US, like the UK declassifies files after so many years. Turns out the Queen of England ordered Irish potato reserves be blocked or burned. So blight did play a part, but the Aristocrats of the UK released the file on how they starved the Irish.
Ignorance is bliss
INDIANS CAME FROM INDIA~~~~ NATIVE AMERICANS CAME FROM AMERICA AND CANADA
Very good , this seems to tell it from a Native Americans point of view.
In all my schools including universities, Latino students struggled terribly in academics.
It was not only a invasion of diseases by Europeans but also a intellectual invasion. Both of which the Latinos lost.
The situation is a little better now with interbredding between races, but the pure Latinos are still struggling intellectually.
May I ask…What do u mean by pure Latinos? The typical Latino, specifically the Mexicano is already mixed with European, Native American & a little bit of African dna. Now, if u are referring to the Zapotec, Maya, Mixe, Otomi who have migrated to California as ‘pure Latinos’ well, they are Indigenous American. I’m thinking u are talking about the already mixed Latino mixed with Anglo but I’m not sure
The story of the American native people read the same as the native northern people of Europe, whom I am. Modern Science has helped all of us. Modern politics has helped all of us. I never want to go back to those times. I am fearful that yet another group in planning to take what I have still yet.
Hate to break it to yall but native Americans were colonizers too.
Oh that’s not-
Colonizers? Yeah starting about 100000 yrs ago.
The Cherokee nation was the largest slave owners North America has ever had . The misinformation about the evil whiteman is only created by the CIA controlled education system and media to create division.
Green mang da 😂😂😂❤❤
Imagine if potatoes was never discovered by the native and the Spanish never found it...what could all English and western European eat now? Turnips and cabbage everyday? or Just plain old bread? xD. Imagine Italian food without tomatoes???? Or Asian food without chilies???
The North American Natives originated from Europe,Asia & Africa (true-fact)
@@chadsimmons6347Europe and Africa are not native to this land.

@@chadsimmons6347But only came into existence after thousands of years of isolation, it's why natives are indigenous 😂 you won't find certain genetics anywhere but the Americas in Natives. Hence the term indigenous applies.
Lots of wars and murder back then too. Extremely territorial wars
@@WayneTheSeine Not mid 1500's 1503. And Columbus did nothing in what is now US soil. His claim to fame was Cuba (Hispaniola) and what is now Puerto Rico. He was first to THE AMERICA's not US soil. De Vaca was actually part of Columbus's first voyage. They were shipwrecked sailing from Hispaniola (Cuba) in South Texas.
@@vinrusso821 He landed in Texas in 1528 not 1503. Ponce de Leon landed in Florida in 1513. Of course we now know that the Norse actually landed in New Foundland in the 900's. Reserching this subject proves the point that to the victor goes the history. There are so many contradictions. That being said I think it hard to dispute Ponce de Leon landing in Florida in 1513. Your assertions have indeed enlightened this old man and I thank you for that.
@@WayneTheSeine The whole point is about pre Europe natives and Columbus NEVER set foot on North American soil, DE Baca was the first European. Ponce De leon saw the coast of Florida before DE Baca but didn't even interact with natives. Dont read propaganda stories about De Baca, read his actual journals and life as a slave to various tribes for 6 years.
@@vinrusso821 I understand now that Columbus was never in America. I am simply pointing out that De Vaca was not the first Euro to step foot in North America. We know Ponce de Leon did land in Fla. some 15 years prior to Vaca. Therefore Vaca was not the first Euro to land in America...not that it is a big deal in the overall discussion of Columbus. Just a fact.
...it was relatively peaceful and safe!!
No it wasnt! tribes war and fought each other!
