IN addition to the fact that the man who "ain't got no family" was going home to a gorgeous model every night, they say "a long career is not expected" but he lasted a lot longer than most.

This theme is still a banger. I miss themes like this that have lyrics written about the wrestler themselves. I think the only current one that has that kind of theme is Kenny Omega. Ciampa, Gargano and The Miz all have themes with lyrics but they're more general platitudes than specific references to the wrestler they represent.

I wonder if Mick Foley had some input to this theme.
I say this because Mick has said he was a huge Frank Zappa fan... and the guy doing the vocals in this song is trying his hardest to sound like mid 70's Zappa, and does a pretty decent job of it.

For those who do research like, it is a shame to find out the name Cactus Jack was not original. It was the nickname of former Texas-bred Vice President John Nance Garner, who even gave an epic "Bang Bang" gun-wielding photo pose with Harry Truman.

Seems that someone in the office was a big Megadeth fan, between this (the opening riff of Skin O My Teeth) and Maxx Payne doing a few lines of Sweating Bullets in a promo. So of course six years later when they show up on Nitro, it was the totally craptacular Crush Em. Ah WCW, my weekly running gag up until spring 2001.........................

Simpsons love to screw with the wrestling world. I have once again come across the episode where Homer visited the bar which had brawling on a regular basis, and which even aired around the time of the Cactus Jack theme music change. "Broken bones on a country floor are really more his thing" would definitely describe the country bar where Homer met Lurleen Lumpkin. Homer even maintained his love of football and wrestling in a recent Treehouse of Horror. The Simpsons will always screw with the wrestling world, regardless of what promotion it may be.
