      There are many many skills which require many many higher levels of "god gifted"-ness. For example a pianist has had to learn dozens of difficult theories and practice complex patterns for years. The guy in this video is just using some scribes and wacking a tool with a hammer. I think a lot of people let them fool themselves by the silly video title.

      @Kyle-sg4rm 3 года назад +3

      Yes exactly. This was great up until that point. Although I still respect and admire the work!
      It would be safer, better and cheaper to season it like the Chinese, etc, season their woks!
      Not all oils are as hydrophobic as others, even when oxidised, so some moisture may contact the metal after some days, or months - but Castor oil, for example, is more hydrophobic than many other oils (perhaps that's part of the reason why it was used in engines, etc?), so that could be used if other oils aren't protective enough before sale. After that, oil could be washed off, or gradually replaced with another oil for regular seasoning. But keep in mind that there is some debate about using Castor oil internally, so maybe another oil would be better. And some oils are more carcinogenic than others due to smoke point, etc.

    • @Kyle-sg4rm

      @@kiran7354 Thanks, this is useful to know!
      There is imported cookware being sold at Indian supermarkets, etc, all over the world - Alot of it has a handmade look like this, so i'm guessing some of that could be coated in varnish also?
      See my comment below about 'seasoning' using oil.

    • @deaniversen351
      @deaniversen351 3 года назад +1

      you sure those are pots? what's with the lines inside them? then he put varnish on the inside, varnish is not food safe, fairly confident these are not pans for cooking, unless that varnish is for protection and they burn it off before use, maybe the lines are level lines for ingredients and liquids?

    • @MrSteve280
      @MrSteve280 3 года назад +1

      @@deaniversen351 You're right. There are several billion people that don't use or need a variety of pots and pans because they cook everything in one device. The varnish is cheap protection from rust and transport until it arrives to the customer and is burned off during the seasoning process. Not sure about the lines but it make sense they could be used for measuring points.

      По проекту инженера из Лондона Джона Леопольда Броди. Этого парнишку отец научил, отца дед, деда прадед, прадеда Леопольд Броди лично. И наказал прадеду: Смотри Шанкар, при производстве касок используй только тот инструмент что я тебе дал. И делай так как я тебе показал, и будешь делать до тех пор пока я не скажу: Довольно! Отступишь хоть на шаг от моих указаний, тебя и твой род настигнет проклятие белых богов! Прадед понял сахиба буквально, и тот молоток, зубило, кронциркуль и кусок рельса колониальной британской железной дороги передаются в этой семье из поколения в поколение. И делаются каски по технологии и инструментом начала прошлого века. Одна беда, зубило совсем коротким стало, и у праправнука Шанкара в руке будет огрызок длинной не более указательного пальца. И тогда настигнет род Шанкара пролятие белых богов! Так грустно, что охота станцевать.
