- Wow, this is starting to look really good. It has the Black Mesa vibes. They improve on things that badly needed to be expanded on. Remastering this 1-1 is just not a great idea and they probably knew this. This is why this feels so fresh, epic, and believable.
Heck, they even added 2 rails. One for going in and a second for going out. Having a single rail in a GIANT underground complex is kind of DUMB. Go to any train station and you will know what i'm talking about.

I hear this is not made by the same team of BM:S. Is it true? It looks very similar to the main game.
@@commentorillidan8030 It is a new team and this is a mod remake, but a REALLY good one. From what i can tell at least....
It looks good but I’m concerned about the gameplay centric chapters since BM: Azure Sheep was kinda shit in regards to level design.

This is going to be great. I just finished Black Mesa for the 3 time. I want a new game and this fits my needs.

Haha, i love them and Black Mesa recently removed all of them but 1. They left that last 1 with a sign, a warning for me ;p

P.s. I wish I can do the same for the other chapters, but they don't work. I cant even start the game anymore... crashes at start. Shame, I was excited to see the new places remade.

What engine does the remake use?
Source Engine (The Black Mesa Version)
SDK Source 2007
@@monofnk6581 not any more Black mesa uses a custom version of the source engine.
the first free mod version of black mesa was in Source 2006-2007 then it was the orange box version (orange box is a later version of 2007).
2007 version is only Hl2 I think and episode 1.
I know orange box is needed to run episode 2.
as 2006-2007 version does not support all the terrain stuff ep2 have (and a few other things).
I think Black mesa pre zen was the Alience swarm version
and now its there own version called Black mesa engine (source).

Yea, i wasnt sure what to call it cus some people were calling it remaster. The lines are so blurry on what is remaster and what is remake lol. Cus it is 1-1 with the original, just also added extra stuff and some music. I guess the same could be said for Black Mesa? You are probably right
@@Starfals i understand, and so let me explain what is what, remake is a recreation of a game from ground zero. It could be even made on another engine, a remaser is when you take something that is done and you modify its graphics, physics etc. But blue shift source is taking black mesas assets so it also may be just a mod. And check out operation black mesa and guard duty, there are not mods at all.

How far is Guard Duty even? I heard about it long ago and people every now and then still bring it up.
