hello i am a fnaf lore robot and can clear some things up for you: - 'Clara' is a fan-made name for Mrs Afton, based off of an in-game TV show that shows a purple vampire (believed to represent William) in love with a blonde woman called Clara. - Elizabeth's death has never been placed definitively in the canon timeline, though it has to be relatively early in the timeline - it's up for speculation. - William used the SpringBonnie suit to commit his past murders. It is a 'springlock' suit, which means it can act as both an outfit and a robot. It can press robotic parts to the sides of the inside of the suit, which can snap back into place to work as a robot. This is how William died, he was sloppy and triggered the locks, which pushed the robotic parts into his body. - Michael setting fire to multiple locations is speculation, though it's believed that he did set fire to FNAF3. - Michael is able to 'survive' being scooped due to a side-effect of the scooper. When people possess animatronics, their souls bind to the metal. This metal can be melted and used to give life to the lifeless, via the scooper injecting it into something. - It's very likely that William NOT Glitchtrap. After the FNAF6 fire, it's believed that William died and the games afterwards tell a new, yet related sequel story. Glitchtrap is most likely The Mimic, an old robot built to observe and copy - Glitchtrap is The Mimics code in a visual representation. - With newly released information, it seems FNAF4 was an experiment that William did on The Crying Child, who fights against nightmarish hallucinations caused by chemical gas. This is actually hinted at in Sister Location. Michael doesn't appear to be the one physically experiencing FNAF4. Instead (this is purely how I see it, but it does have evidence) he was haunted by The Crying Child, who projected his own memories into Michael's dreams to torment him. :)

we do know the names of the batch of kids William killed! they were seen on headstones in Fnaf 6. these are likely the names of the ghost kids that Josh Hutcherson as Mike will deal with in the movie. whether they actually use these names? probably not. but still neat. I know other comments have mentioned this but I will also add a few details I find interesting. About Clara Clara is the name of a character from the fictional TV show The Immortal and the Restless. Michael watches this show after each night in Sister Location. The show has Clara trying to get the Vampire to admit that her child is his. To the audience, it is blatantly obvious, as the child is also a vampire. The Vampire still denies this. Original interpretations believe that this was some sort of look into Michael and his father’s relationship. Most thought that after Michael caused his brothers death, William, in a way, disowned him. However, now most serious theorists, see it in a different light. In the Security Logbook, a physical (and canon to the games) book, Michael writes that he relates to Clara in the immortal and the restless. Placing Michael into the spot of Clara a new story begins to reveal itself. The vampire still represents William but instead of Clara, representing Michael’s mother, who has always been an unimportant character, it now represents Michael and the baby vampire represents the confusing works of William. Michael knows that these murders and possessions are not normal and believes his father has something to do with it, but his father always denies it. There are videos that go further into depth but I think it’s interesting.
Great job! You summed it all up pretty well, there’s just one thing I want to clarify. The ghostly entity from FNAF 1, Golden Freddy, isn’t just there for the shits and giggles, he’s actually another entity being possessed by two children, The Crying Child, and Cassidy, The One You Should Not Have Killed. The Crying Child, we know his story right, Fredbear the animatronic bear is hungry sees a child and thinks “ooh free food CRONCH”. Cassidy is a different story. Cassidy is one of the 5 original children William Afton killed (he kills more though! he’s such a kind and gentle guy I see what Clara saw in him). This child, named Cassidy, was killed in a particularly gruesome way, and their corpse was stuffed inside the spring lock suit of Fredbear (not to be confused with Freddy). This creates a weird cohabitation situation inside the suit, with both The Crying Child and Cassidy possessing it, although Cassidy takes more of a prominent role. Cassidy is the child who initially chases William around the room in the scene where he gets spring locked for the first time. They’re also responsible for his torture in purgatory after FNAF 6 (you can see/play this torture! it’s known as Ultimate Custom Night). They’re basically the character that screws everything up for William, always trying to torment him to get their revenge. However, their torture of Afton in purgatory after FNAF 6 causes him to (somehow) stay alive and ultimately download his virus self and create Glitchtrap. Overall, they’re a very cool character and I’ve been rotating them in my mind for the last few months
Glitchtrap is actually the Mimic_1 code, and it’s not Willy boy, he’s still in purgatory presumably. And Burntrap is suspected to have A. Never happened, B. Did happen in some way but not how we saw it. C. That Burntrap is William’s built up agony, finally coming out. (And that would also be why the Blob attacks him at the end of the Burntrap ending bc he’s also suspected to be an agony amalgamation of sorts) D. That he’s the Mimic as we know he would be able to do something like that. E. That he’s still in purgatory and Vanessa is who we play as in PQ and he’s trying to get out by communicating through the game. And finally, F. That Burntrap was him and The Mimic was still trapped in the basement when we saw the pizzaplex. (sorry for going on a long tangent lol 😅)

One thing that some fans believe is that in fnaf 4, you are playing as the crying child (Evan?), and not Michael like you said. Cause it’s shown how much the crying child is scared of the animatronics that perhaps he had nightmares about them, and that fnaf 4 is just a nightmare. I have also seen some theories that William made these scary animatronics to purposefully scare his kids, so that they wouldn’t go near them (so they wouldn’t be killed by Williams creations….?) Or maybe even to try and get his son to get over his fear of the animatronics.

I have followed FNAF for a long time (just the main games and most of game theory's videos) so I can tell you that you got the main events and themes and avoided all the speculation around the details. This video is a really good guide for those who want to watch the movie or to start getting into the FNAF world.
Honestly you did an amazing job, you got most of the main points! The only one you missed was to do with Golden Freddy aka Fredbear. It's widely accepted that Golden Freddy is possessed by two kids, the Crying Child and a girl named Cassidy. Cassidy is often called The Vengeful Spirit or the one William shouldn't have killed. When he killed his first set of kids, its believed he beat her up the worst, going full maniac on her, before stuffing her inside the Fredbear animatronic. Cassidy then becomes fueled by rage and it's said that she made it her goal to torment him forever. There's this game called Ultimate Custom Night (where you pick which animatronic you fight and where) and it's believed that this is a representation of William's own personal hell after he finally dies in FNAF 6, and Cassdiy is the one torturing him.
I feel so bad for you having to use the MatPat timeline that came RIGHT before what's singlehandedly the BIGGEST TWIST of this franchise that FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGES EVERYTHING about the story post pizza sim. Highly admire the effort though, an incalculable amount of mistakes were made here and there but you did your goddamn best and that's what matters.

As someone who's been a part of this fandom since 2014 and has grown up with it, you did a pretty good job! What a daunting task to try and fit nearly a decade of info into 5 days, but you did it. I have a love-hate relationship with this franchise because the story is so complicated and convoluted, but it's just so interesting. Mad respect to you! Also, very little of the lore is 100% confirmed by Scott himself, so most of it is just widely accepted theories!

You definetly got a lot of stuff right! A few minor points: The timing of Elizabeth's death is one of the most contested points for the timeline. Like you said, a lot of evidence points to it happening before Crying Child's death, but I personally believe it took place afterward, because that not only makes more sense for the whole "Baby has a claw" thing but also it gives William an actual motivation to do the things he does. It is heavily implied that Glitchtrap is not actually William Afton. Instead, Glitchtrap is a different version of the Mimic software that was basically designed to copy William in all ways. While the whole "Gregory is a robot" theory is still hotly contested in the fandom, Gregory was definetly at one point on Glitchtrap's side before seemingly getting amnesia and switching sides by the time of Security Breach. Ruin takes place long after Security Breach, which is why the PizzaPlex is all destroyed. Other than that, great job with the summarizing!

Don't go to the movie thinking you NEED to know the story. If you know, you're just gonna identify some plot points that got shifted around. The movie seems to be its own thing, so I believe we should treat it as such (and hopefully the story will be better than the games)
Whether or not it's kid Michael or the Crying Child in FNAF 4 which is pretty controversial, the fandom as a whole pretty much agrees that you're playing as Crying Child since there's a lot of evidence pointing towards it
Yeah, the only big problem with that is that the phone guy call from FNAF 1 can sometimes be heard during the gameplay of Fnaf 4, indicating you're playing as someone who has heard that call, which would almost certainly be Michael having nightmares.

Abby is an anagram for Baby, aka a nod to Elizabeth The cop character is named Vanessa, and is possibly holding a similar role to her game counterpart--one of Afton's disciplines (tho not due to like, computer brainwashing). as for how the movies relate to the mess that is the lore? my guess is it'll be revealed that the guy who hired Mike for the job (Matthew Lillard) is secretly the murderer who killed the kids possessing the animatronics, luring them to the back in a yellow bunny suit (you can actually see it in the trailer). as for him actually being Mike's dad, i mean, if they stick to canon he _has_ to be, but it's a little unclear. they've cast another guy as Mike's dad for flashbacks but there's some theories that he's a stepdad? there's also some theories about Mike dealing with repressed memories. we know he beats a dude up in a fountain at the start of the movie, which is why he's looking for a job--it's possible these memories caused that outburst? extrapolating from that, maybe he repressed his trauma of being responsible for killing his little brother, in the process forgetting who his dad is too. the movies _say_ in some promo material that his younger brother went missing, but I think its more likely that he died similar to crying child and Mike just can't remember just a summary of how people (and myself) have been trying to connect the craziness of the games/books lore to what we know about the movie
As a FNAF veteran, this was a great video and you did really good! Its nice to see new people get into FNAF. Also, here’s some lore corrections :) -Micheal did work at FNAF 1, but that was before Sister Location. Its unsure if he’s the protagonist for every game, but he most definitely is for FNAF 1, SL, and Pizzeria Sim. Jeremy Fitzgerald (FNAF2 protag) is likely a different person than him, the protagonist for FNAF 3 is either Henry or Micheal (personally, I lean towards Henry, but either works!) And FNAF 4 is most likely both Micheal and CC, either together or on alternating nights. The nights with Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear are Micheal’s pov after CC died. To add to this, the reason the Nightmares exist is because Micheal and CC are put into a testing chamber by William. Its a whole can of worms, but check out a analysis on the “Dittiophobia” book if you’re interested! The tests happening in that book are the same things happening to Micheal and CC, but in different circumstances (Micheal and CC are not in the testing chamber indefinitely) -William is speaking to CC through the Fredbear Plush. I don’t think there’s a real concrete reason for why he is doing this, other than to distance CC from Micheal. -William died in the FNAF 6 fire. Glitchtrap and Burntrap are The Mimic. Some people consider Glitchtrap to be some form of William and the Mimic combined, but I personally don’t believe that’s true. -To add to that, Vanessa gets possessed by Glitchtrap/The Mimic, as does Gregory in the books. The two sealed him away in the pizzaplex to keep themselves and other people safe. M.X.E.S. was also created by them as a form of security against the Mimic. -Mrs. Afton is likely dead or noninvolved with the Pizzaplex, seeing that when Security Breach takes place she’d most likely be in her 90’s. That’s all! Loved the vid :D
A few of my friends are deeply invested in fnaf so I’ve gained like a large amount of knowledge over the years against my will and I truly wish it was not taking up space in my brain 10/10 would watch this video again despite the loss of braincells
I would say this is a pretty good recap for people who aren't aware of the series and wanna just learn a bit before the movie, yeah there's some mistakes here and there but it's all minor, you get all the major beats right

As far as I am aware (I am in a similar boat to you Amanda and trying to catch up to the lore after watching the movie), according to a Matpat lore theory video Gregory in security breach is supposed to be rhe revived crying child, and he is a robot built by Clara Afton who tried to "rebuild" her family after she took over the "fazbear business" after william's "death". Also, Vanessa is apparently Clara's replacement for "Elizabeth", she is similar to Elizabeth in many ways and a broken soul with a terrible relationship with her family manipulated by Clara for her purpose of rebuilding the family.
i remember when fnaf first came out and they intentionally made it ambiguous as to weather the animatronics were actually haunted or if they were going haywire cus fazbear pizzeria cheaped out and used recalled police robots as their endoskeletons but now, not only are they going ALL IN on the whole "oh yeah the animatronics are definitely haunted" but it also seems like the entire world is taken over by the fazbear corporation, and every piece of technology they make is haunted in some way shape or form
I love how it's "unnamed dead children" (who actually had names featured somewhere in games) and then Mrs. Afton is so firmly called Clara despite it actually being more of an unconfirmed name the fans use :D but yeah the lore is whack, I'm actually amazed the video is so short and almost half of it is just research montage, that's impressive
SPOILERS: I wonder why in the movie, they didn't explicitly say that Mike is Mike Schmidt. when Steve Raglan (William Afton) saw his name on the resume, he immediately started treating him better, getting him coffee and then proposed the idea of the security guard job that he wasn't going to mention before. but he didn't actually say his last name out loud. he paused and the audience was left the fill in the blanks. I don't know if they did this to troll the audience into thinking it could be Michael Afton or they're leaving it ambiguous just for fun or maybe they didn't want to make the lore too concrete so they can leave room for interpretation and fan theory. but when I saw the movie, I literally held my breath when he read out his first name off the resume and then paused and didn't say the last name. because why would William Afton start treating him better after seeing that he's Mike Schmidt. if Mike Schmidt is also Michael Afton then wouldn't he recognize his own son? or maybe the theory that Mike Schmidt in the game is Michael Afton is wrong. I don't know but it doesn't make sense how William Afton knows that he wants this Mike to become the security guard simply after seeing his last name.

here are some corrections/clarifications :3 (since you asked i think) ive been a fan since markiplier made his first fnaf video so im kind of an OG so William was studying this stuff called remnant(basically soul juice) which was really strong in children, so he made circus baby or the "clown animatronic" to collect it, but it happened to accidently kill his daughter because she wouldn`t listen to her fathers warnings to not touch or go near the animatronic also charlotte possesses the puppet because henry built the puppet to look after his daughter and the puppet crawls/malfunctions in the rain- onto her corpse after she is killed and the childrens names who posses the main animatronics are named freddy: Gabriel chica: Susie (and we know how too, William told her he knew where her dead dog is and that its alive) bonnie: Jeremy foxy: Fritz springlocks are a feature of the suit and are not directly why william died as people wore springlock suits back in the early 80s(in the games) but the problem here was the suit was damp which let the locks slip and shove a metal endoskeloton that was being held back by the springlocks into aftons chest, lungs, face, legs, ect...

IIRC being haunted changes the properties of the metal, and some of this metal stayed inside Michael after Ennard left, and thats what is keeping his body running. As crazy as that sounds.
claira is not cannon and is speculation, some people even straight up say she isnt real but its assumed that william does have a wife but she is not very important because she is never brought up (except from that recreation of the afton family in security breach)
I just started to learn more about FNAF when the movie came out and recently started playing FNAF 4. When I tell you I got hella scared and when the jumpscares happen I’m just like :o and my heart literally jumping. Regardless the FNAF lore and timeline is hella interesting. Long story short weird purple creep with kids killed a bunch of toddlers. Mistakenly killed his own except crying child who was accidentally killed by Michael. The first child possessed the puppet marionette who helped the other kids posses the robots. They tried to kill the weird purple freak but he came back immortal and an even bigger creep.

Couple of things I will add, puppet is possessed by Charlie because it collapses next to her (rain) after trying to find her (job was to protect her but got trapped in the box and failed), the bite seen in game 4 isn't 87 it's 83 (that clip of Mark is used because of how wrong he was), 87 is commonly believed to have been a dayshift worker in game 2 likely bitten by Mangle, game 4 could've been Michael or Crying Child (we're unsure) but has been somewhat confirmed via the newest book that it was an experiment carried out by William using hallucinogenic gas on children also backed up by the hidden bunker in Sister Location that shows cameras watching the 4th game bedroom (definitely confuses the timeline of whether CC or Elizabeth died first)

- Elizabeth's death has never been placed definitively in the canon timeline, though it has to be relatively early in the timeline - it's up for speculation.
- William used the SpringBonnie suit to commit his past murders. It is a 'springlock' suit, which means it can act as both an outfit and a robot. It can press robotic parts to the sides of the inside of the suit, which can snap back into place to work as a robot. This is how William died, he was sloppy and triggered the locks, which pushed the robotic parts into his body.
- Michael setting fire to multiple locations is speculation, though it's believed that he did set fire to FNAF3.
- Michael is able to 'survive' being scooped due to a side-effect of the scooper. When people possess animatronics, their souls bind to the metal. This metal can be melted and used to give life to the lifeless, via the scooper injecting it into something.
- It's very likely that William NOT Glitchtrap. After the FNAF6 fire, it's believed that William died and the games afterwards tell a new, yet related sequel story. Glitchtrap is most likely The Mimic, an old robot built to observe and copy - Glitchtrap is The Mimics code in a visual representation.
- With newly released information, it seems FNAF4 was an experiment that William did on The Crying Child, who fights against nightmarish hallucinations caused by chemical gas. This is actually hinted at in Sister Location.
Michael doesn't appear to be the one physically experiencing FNAF4. Instead (this is purely how I see it, but it does have evidence) he was haunted by The Crying Child, who projected his own memories into Michael's dreams to torment him.

I know other comments have mentioned this but I will also add a few details I find interesting.
About Clara
Clara is the name of a character from the fictional TV show The Immortal and the Restless. Michael watches this show after each night in Sister Location. The show has Clara trying to get the Vampire to admit that her child is his. To the audience, it is blatantly obvious, as the child is also a vampire. The Vampire still denies this.
Original interpretations believe that this was some sort of look into Michael and his father’s relationship. Most thought that after Michael caused his brothers death, William, in a way, disowned him. However, now most serious theorists, see it in a different light.
In the Security Logbook, a physical (and canon to the games) book, Michael writes that he relates to Clara in the immortal and the restless. Placing Michael into the spot of Clara a new story begins to reveal itself. The vampire still represents William but instead of Clara, representing Michael’s mother, who has always been an unimportant character, it now represents Michael and the baby vampire represents the confusing works of William. Michael knows that these murders and possessions are not normal and believes his father has something to do with it, but his father always denies it. There are videos that go further into depth but I think it’s interesting.

The ghostly entity from FNAF 1, Golden Freddy, isn’t just there for the shits and giggles, he’s actually another entity being possessed by two children, The Crying Child, and Cassidy, The One You Should Not Have Killed.
The Crying Child, we know his story right, Fredbear the animatronic bear is hungry sees a child and thinks “ooh free food CRONCH”. Cassidy is a different story.
Cassidy is one of the 5 original children William Afton killed (he kills more though! he’s such a kind and gentle guy I see what Clara saw in him). This child, named Cassidy, was killed in a particularly gruesome way, and their corpse was stuffed inside the spring lock suit of Fredbear (not to be confused with Freddy). This creates a weird cohabitation situation inside the suit, with both The Crying Child and Cassidy possessing it, although Cassidy takes more of a prominent role.
Cassidy is the child who initially chases William around the room in the scene where he gets spring locked for the first time. They’re also responsible for his torture in purgatory after FNAF 6 (you can see/play this torture! it’s known as Ultimate Custom Night).
They’re basically the character that screws everything up for William, always trying to torment him to get their revenge. However, their torture of Afton in purgatory after FNAF 6 causes him to (somehow) stay alive and ultimately download his virus self and create Glitchtrap.
Overall, they’re a very cool character and I’ve been rotating them in my mind for the last few months
Glitchtrap is actually the Mimic_1 code, and it’s not Willy boy, he’s still in purgatory presumably. And Burntrap is suspected to have A. Never happened, B. Did happen in some way but not how we saw it. C. That Burntrap is William’s built up agony, finally coming out. (And that would also be why the Blob attacks him at the end of the Burntrap ending bc he’s also suspected to be an agony amalgamation of sorts) D. That he’s the Mimic as we know he would be able to do something like that. E. That he’s still in purgatory and Vanessa is who we play as in PQ and he’s trying to get out by communicating through the game. And finally, F. That Burntrap was him and The Mimic was still trapped in the basement when we saw the pizzaplex. (sorry for going on a long tangent lol 😅)

One thing that some fans believe is that in fnaf 4, you are playing as the crying child (Evan?), and not Michael like you said. Cause it’s shown how much the crying child is scared of the animatronics that perhaps he had nightmares about them, and that fnaf 4 is just a nightmare. I have also seen some theories that William made these scary animatronics to purposefully scare his kids, so that they wouldn’t go near them (so they wouldn’t be killed by Williams creations….?) Or maybe even to try and get his son to get over his fear of the animatronics.

I have followed FNAF for a long time (just the main games and most of game theory's videos) so I can tell you that you got the main events and themes and avoided all the speculation around the details. It's widely accepted that Golden Freddy is possessed by two kids, the Crying Child and a girl named Cassidy. Cassidy is often called The Vengeful Spirit or the one William shouldn't have killed. When he killed his first set of kids, its believed he beat her up the worst, going full maniac on her, before stuffing her inside the Fredbear animatronic. Cassidy then becomes fueled by rage and it's said that she made it her goal to torment him forever. There's this game called Ultimate Custom Night (where you pick which animatronic you fight and where) and it's believed that this is a representation of William's own personal hell after he finally dies in FNAF 6, and Cassdiy is the one torturing him.

A few minor points: The timing of Elizabeth's death is one of the most contested points for the timeline. Like you said, a lot of evidence points to it happening before Crying Child's death, but I personally believe it took place afterward, because that not only makes more sense for the whole "Baby has a claw" thing but also it gives William an actual motivation to do the things he does.
It is heavily implied that Glitchtrap is not actually William Afton. Instead, Glitchtrap is a different version of the Mimic software that was basically designed to copy William in all ways.
While the whole "Gregory is a robot" theory is still hotly contested in the fandom, Gregory was definetly at one point on Glitchtrap's side before seemingly getting amnesia and switching sides by the time of Security Breach.
Ruin takes place long after Security Breach, which is why the PizzaPlex is all destroyed.
Other than that, great job with the summarizing!

Don't go to the movie thinking you NEED to know the story. If you know, you're just gonna identify some plot points that got shifted around. The movie seems to be its own thing, so I believe we should treat it as such (and hopefully the story will be better than the games)
Whether or not it's kid Michael or the Crying Child in FNAF 4 which is pretty controversial, the fandom as a whole pretty much agrees that you're playing as Crying Child since there's a lot of evidence pointing towards it
Yeah, the only big problem with that is that the phone guy call from FNAF 1 can sometimes be heard during the gameplay of Fnaf 4, indicating you're playing as someone who has heard that call, which would almost certainly be Michael having nightmares.

The cop character is named Vanessa, and is possibly holding a similar role to her game counterpart--one of Afton's disciplines (tho not due to like, computer brainwashing).
as for how the movies relate to the mess that is the lore? my guess is it'll be revealed that the guy who hired Mike for the job (Matthew Lillard) is secretly the murderer who killed the kids possessing the animatronics, luring them to the back in a yellow bunny suit (you can actually see it in the trailer). as for him actually being Mike's dad, i mean, if they stick to canon he _has_ to be, but it's a little unclear. they've cast another guy as Mike's dad for flashbacks but there's some theories that he's a stepdad?
there's also some theories about Mike dealing with repressed memories. we know he beats a dude up in a fountain at the start of the movie, which is why he's looking for a job--it's possible these memories caused that outburst? extrapolating from that, maybe he repressed his trauma of being responsible for killing his little brother, in the process forgetting who his dad is too. the movies _say_ in some promo material that his younger brother went missing, but I think its more likely that he died similar to crying child and Mike just can't remember

As a FNAF veteran, this was a great video and you did really good! Its nice to see new people get into FNAF. Also, here’s some lore corrections :)
-Micheal did work at FNAF 1, but that was before Sister Location. Its unsure if he’s the protagonist for every game, but he most definitely is for FNAF 1, SL, and Pizzeria Sim. Jeremy Fitzgerald (FNAF2 protag) is likely a different person than him, the protagonist for FNAF 3 is either Henry or Micheal (personally, I lean towards Henry, but either works!) And FNAF 4 is most likely both Micheal and CC, either together or on alternating nights. The nights with Nightmare and Nightmare Fredbear are Micheal’s pov after CC died. To add to this, the reason the Nightmares exist is because Micheal and CC are put into a testing chamber by William. Its a whole can of worms, but check out a analysis on the “Dittiophobia” book if you’re interested! The tests happening in that book are the same things happening to Micheal and CC, but in different circumstances (Micheal and CC are not in the testing chamber indefinitely)
-William is speaking to CC through the Fredbear Plush. I don’t think there’s a real concrete reason for why he is doing this, other than to distance CC from Micheal.
-William died in the FNAF 6 fire. Glitchtrap and Burntrap are The Mimic. Some people consider Glitchtrap to be some form of William and the Mimic combined, but I personally don’t believe that’s true.
-To add to that, Vanessa gets possessed by Glitchtrap/The Mimic, as does Gregory in the books. The two sealed him away in the pizzaplex to keep themselves and other people safe. M.X.E.S. was also created by them as a form of security against the Mimic.
-Mrs. Afton is likely dead or noninvolved with the Pizzaplex, seeing that when Security Breach takes place she’d most likely be in her 90’s.

As far as I am aware (I am in a similar boat to you Amanda and trying to catch up to the lore after watching the movie), according to a Matpat lore theory video Gregory in security breach is supposed to be rhe revived crying child, and he is a robot built by Clara Afton who tried to "rebuild" her family after she took over the "fazbear business" after william's "death". Also, Vanessa is apparently Clara's replacement for "Elizabeth", she is similar to Elizabeth in many ways and a broken soul with a terrible relationship with her family manipulated by Clara for her purpose of rebuilding the family.

i remember when fnaf first came out and they intentionally made it ambiguous as to weather the animatronics were actually haunted or if they were going haywire cus fazbear pizzeria cheaped out and used recalled police robots as their endoskeletons
but now, not only are they going ALL IN on the whole "oh yeah the animatronics are definitely haunted" but it also seems like the entire world is taken over by the fazbear corporation, and every piece of technology they make is haunted in some way shape or form

I wonder why in the movie, they didn't explicitly say that Mike is Mike Schmidt. when Steve Raglan (William Afton) saw his name on the resume, he immediately started treating him better, getting him coffee and then proposed the idea of the security guard job that he wasn't going to mention before. but he didn't actually say his last name out loud. he paused and the audience was left the fill in the blanks. I don't know if they did this to troll the audience into thinking it could be Michael Afton or they're leaving it ambiguous just for fun or maybe they didn't want to make the lore too concrete so they can leave room for interpretation and fan theory. but when I saw the movie, I literally held my breath when he read out his first name off the resume and then paused and didn't say the last name. because why would William Afton start treating him better after seeing that he's Mike Schmidt. if Mike Schmidt is also Michael Afton then wouldn't he recognize his own son? or maybe the theory that Mike Schmidt in the game is Michael Afton is wrong. I don't know but it doesn't make sense how William Afton knows that he wants this Mike to become the security guard simply after seeing his last name.

so William was studying this stuff called remnant(basically soul juice) which was really strong in children, so he made circus baby or the "clown animatronic" to collect it, but it happened to accidently kill his daughter because she wouldn`t listen to her fathers warnings to not touch or go near the animatronic
also charlotte possesses the puppet because henry built the puppet to look after his daughter and the puppet crawls/malfunctions in the rain- onto her corpse after she is killed
and the childrens names who posses the main animatronics are named
freddy: Gabriel
chica: Susie (and we know how too, William told her he knew where her dead dog is and that its alive)
bonnie: Jeremy
foxy: Fritz
springlocks are a feature of the suit and are not directly why william died as people wore springlock suits back in the early 80s(in the games) but the problem here was the suit was damp which let the locks slip and shove a metal endoskeloton that was being held back by the springlocks into aftons chest, lungs, face, legs, ect...

IIRC being haunted changes the properties of the metal, and some of this metal stayed inside Michael after Ennard left, and thats what is keeping his body running. As crazy as that sounds.
claira is not cannon and is speculation, some people even straight up say she isnt real but its assumed that william does have a wife but she is not very important because she is never brought up (except from that recreation of the afton family in security breach)

Long story short weird purple creep with kids killed a bunch of toddlers. Mistakenly killed his own except crying child who was accidentally killed by Michael. The first child possessed the puppet marionette who helped the other kids posses the robots. They tried to kill the weird purple freak but he came back immortal and an even bigger creep.

Couple of things I will add, puppet is possessed by Charlie because it collapses next to her (rain) after trying to find her (job was to protect her but got trapped in the box and failed), the bite seen in game 4 isn't 87 it's 83 (that clip of Mark is used because of how wrong he was), 87 is commonly believed to have been a dayshift worker in game 2 likely bitten by Mangle, game 4 could've been Michael or Crying Child (we're unsure) but has been somewhat confirmed via the newest book that it was an experiment carried out by William using hallucinogenic gas on children also backed up by the hidden bunker in Sister Location that shows cameras watching the 4th game bedroom (definitely confuses the timeline of whether CC or Elizabeth died first)
