16:03 I blacked out. No idea how I didn't get hit there. Anyways, timestamps for specific bosses in description. EDIT: I forgot Flukemarm, but... I don't think anyone needs tips for that one, so. Meh.
Something important to note: When fighting the mawlek you can just use grubbersfly elegy (I don’t know if I wrote that right) and beat the crap out of him, at that point the only thing to worry about in that fight is the flying goo, but that shouldn’t be to difficult to dodge.
I’ve done that with a couple bosses, usually with minions involved. It depends on how long the bosses death animation is, i beat white defender after i died, but my minions killing pure vessel after i died didnt count. It’s kinda weird.
Marmu radiant fight for me is the weirdest one. I just hit my nail up the entire fight without moving and somehow win her. And I somehow was able to replicate it before but not anymore. I really don't know if that was just luck or an exploit that I somehow found out before.
@@bgmarshall My question is, because i've havent try it get... if you lose to one of the final bosses, you start all over again?? how is that it took you to 2 days to beat absolute radiance alone, or you were starting all over again and again constantly?
@@aaronking2020 just use grubberflys elegy, quickslash, mark of pride, and unbreakable strength, and stand to the immediate left or right of her and spam. Just keep pressing x(or whatever button you use to attack) until she dies.
Tip: Grubberfly’s Elegy works as a supplement to fragile strength in fights with larger enemies such as Abs Rad of Failed Champion since you can’t take damage and lose it. Combining them means you shred through some bosses with 48 damage per hit and quick slash combined.
Grubberfly’s takes very very specific positioning along with mark of pride in order to stack with normal attacks, i tested it myself. You must hit with the tip of the pixel of the sword for the projectile to not go through the enemy you just slashed and deal no extra damage. Generally this means that unbreakable strength is better since you always deal 50% more damage per hit, grubberflies is only better against bosses that you need to time your hits for (since you can spam), or ones that you want to hit with the tip, pogoing being the most common scenario for this (markoth is the best example of both of these, although nailmasters is the best option for his fight).
@@warriordinag3921 grubberflys is the reason I managed to beat radient absrad. It is just a 1.5 nail damage multiplier to enemies with a big enough hitbox. Now you are probably saying I should have just used unbreakable strength, but grubberflys gave me the extra range I needed to hit absrad more than usual. I could have used shade soul, but I was saving my soul for abyss shriek and desolate dive.
@@spectralaria8648 I tested grubberflys against gruz mother, and it only ever dealt extra damage if i hit with the tip of my sword, otherwise it would pass through the whole boss without any extra damage. Ill go test it against a bigger boss and see if there’s any change.
@@spectralaria8648 After more testing, it seems that the projectiles only stack if the enemies hitbox is big enough to reach where the projectile ends, or if it doesn’t reach where it begins. Either way, it seems that the 50% power boost is inconsistent unless you are fighting a massive boss or you have a range increasing charm of some sort, which if you do the range for stacking the hit and the projectile is much larger. Knowing this it seems the best build for this would be quick slash, longnail, grubberflys AND strength unless you wanna overcharm for radiant fights, in which you’d want to get mark of pride instead of longnail. The actual difference in damage with longnail equipped is ridiculous, your dps becomes insanely high. With a calculator it seems that the dps is around 220, assuming that quick slash swings are four per second, which is enough to kill uumuu in 1.5 seconds. Please go back and try grubberflys with longnail, it becomes way more useful.
I've tried Defender's Crest on Broken Vessel and Lost Kin, and it actually does a pretty good job at killing those little globs of infection all around the screen.
The problem I have the most with using Defender's Crest is that the smell is following you as you move, it is not surrounding your entire body at all time. Therefore, when you moving really fast around to avoid the attacks and attacks Broken Vessel/Lost Kin, chances are you going to get hit by them if they are immediately in the direction that you are moving.
@@anhuynhpc the main use of the Defenders crest in those two fights (at least for me) is to allow healing when your opponent is staggered. while healing, you stand still and all the blobs float to you, and Defenders crest does good enough job at disposing of them. and the fact it gets you rid of the blobs in the fight while the enemy is fighting is more or less just a benefit.
What is the point when you can just nail them in 1 hit to get their soul and then heal There isnt much time wasted killing the blobs and you get extra soul
@@jamclone True, but diverting your attention to more than one target can get somewhat difficult for some people. Especially in Hollow Knight. You have to train your eyes on more than just the boss.
Honestly I think that is a pretty solid build. Mine is just a variation of it where I take out Sharp Shadow to put on Heart, and take out Mark of Pride and put on Long Nail with Steady Body. I use this set because I have a really nail aggressive playing style, so I will just go in and nail blazing the entire pantheon. If it was radiant fight though, I would mix them all around and use a set that I think would be best for the fight. Generally though I will still use this set as it covered most of the bosses for me anyway, except Heart, because it is useless in Radiant.
Best tip for AbsRad: Use Descending Dark on her floor spikes. I've lost many fights to her camping on top of her floor spikes, leaving me no chance to damage her, and eventually get hit due struggling to balance dodging while finding an opportunity to damage her. Let that be a lesson for all bosses in general. The faster you kill the boss, the less opportunities there for to make mistakes.
Just 100%ed the Hall of Gods about 10 minutes ago, and I couldn’t possibly be happier to be done with it. If you’re not a big spell user, here’s a few tips for Abs Rad: -If you have Strength, Quick Slash, and Grubberfly Elegy, you can be dealing either 46 or 62 damage per hit, since some projectiles can hit twice. -If you’re super brave, you can skip a ton of time on Phase 4 if you have the above load out. I waited for Abs Rad to teleport above a platform, and then keep my feet on the ground while spamming up slash. If you’re quick enough, she might only be able to teleport once or twice before going up. -On her last phase, do NOT play aggressive, even if that’s your main play style. There’s nothing more embarrassing than dashing straight into an orb or mis-timing your double jump and falling into the void. This boss took me 4 days to beat, compared to the 3 I took for every other boss combined. This is a patience test, because there are a ton of times where you’re going to die over something that’s way too difficult to dodge or read. Don’t be afraid to takes breaks, and you’ll beat her eventually.
@@logizom5335 NKG and PV are fights where you're typically expected to not take too much damage anyways, lest you fall into a cascade of death, so their radiants are actually easier than bosses that hit you a lot but don't hit hard.
it's a great charm for sure but kinda spoils us too. when doing the charmless binding for pantheon of the knight I couldn't believe how short my dash got keep getting impact damaged. for some reason pure vessel really has my number alot. especially on ascended
@@viper-the-great that's why i rarely use sharp shadow, it really messes up with timing and positioning in my head, tried it when doing radiant NKG and instantly swapped it out after one or two attempt cause i kept dashing into him since i was used to his fight with regular dash distance Xdd
@@Rev.Serenity I think it's good because of it's extra distance. Just keep it in mind and stay in closer. What we all need to remember is the true strength of sharp shadow is that you can do damage while evading attacks at same time and equal to nail damage and with dash master it's equal to the nail plus strength. It's my fav charm and I always use it. I see what u mean about the dash length messing people up cuz you get used to a certain length especially for platforming but if u just get used to it more especially in places like Queens garden and fights like nkg as u mentioned it can help tremendously. Also I appreciate the comment and conversation so thank you. If u have any other opinions on charms I'd be interested to hear and give my own as well. Hollow knight is a great game
Ah, Rusty. You and your alliterations go together like Markoth and broken controllers. Or the Radiance and swear words. Or Flukemarm and strange Hall of Gods references to her sensuality. Take your pick. Edit: Ay, thanks for the likes! 😁
If you don't mind abusing a bug: enter attuned or ascended of any boss with fury of the fallen equiped, get to 1 hp, dream nail + up to exit the fight You now have fury status until you rest or get hit (which you aren't allowed to do in radiant anyways) Enter any radiant boss and enjoy the free damage.
@@TheRenownedRat I haven't tried this bug in a while (due to gitting gud) so it might be patched, but when I last tried it did work for the Absolute Radiance fight, yes.
I honestly would love a difficulty ranking for this, the radiant mechanics completely change the fights. Like Gruz mother becomes way harder because of the spikes, no eyes and Markoth become hell, meanwhile bosses like Traitor lord and enraged guardian drop down on the list because their damage is now equal to all other bosses
Just another tip for failed champion is that when he is knocked down on his last phase DO NOT ATTACK HIM he will not get back up and you can effectively get infinite soul from him using the dream nail, Its especially helpful in the POH as NKG comes right after failed champ and having full health will increase your chance of beating him! Good luck
Ok so while this may be hard to pull off, THIS IS AN EXTREMELY HELPFUL tip for fighting grimm and maybe nkg. When he is in "pufferfish" mode you can actually shadow dash above him while avoiding the fire balls and pogo off his head at the right time and you can get a cheap hit when he stops. This helps get rid of the dodging part but it is very stressful and hard to pull off but it is so helpful!
"It took me 6 days to complete the hall of gods." Me with 400 hours and has only beat p5 with the debug mod: heheh, yeah you suck. Edit: now rounding to 500 hours. Still no win but I'm doing steel soul for the "first" time for the 8th time (think about it).
@@ayushsrivastava9364 yeah, I always die around failed champion cause it's difficult in the opposite way GPZ is, so my mind never adjusts in time for a sudden mace to the face.
Steel soul isn’t that difficult, if it weren’t for me of course. Because I can literally end runs, here’s a few hints to help you in your pathetic, doomed plight: 1) Fragile charms for the win. The drawback is naught, because, well, dying is like, death. 2) Stay away from crystal peak and deepest for as long as possible. 3) Get spells as soon as possible, and make them shadowy 4) the last pale ore you should get is the conqueror trial, because you have to go through me to get it. Good luck chief
Steel soul is really hard for all the wrong reasons lol Its main difficulty comes from the stress of constantly being on your toes rather then the actuall challenge of not dying Basically if you play it slow you’re guaranteed a win. My steel soul file is currently my main one with 112 all radiant bosses +p5
Quick tip for pure vessel. After every attack of his you can get in one to two hits. Dash through the daggers and jump over everything else. Every time after you attack you should jump. His three swipes attack will need a dash to clear. When he dashes at you don't pogo, just land and strike. When he does the blades from the ground it is easier to evade in the air because the blades are tapered and, you are more maneuverable in the air.
Another strategy for Marmu: Long Nail, Mark of Pride and stay in a single corner. Everytime they come your direction hit them away from your corner by jumping toward them and slashing. Marmu's bouncing is much more predictable this way and you spend less time re-adjusting your positioning. Think of it like king of the corner, that corner is yours and if Marmu gets to close, you push them away.
Quickslash, Grubberfly’s elegy, Steady body, Strength + another charm works too. Stay in a corner and slash into the center without stopping and marmu should never be able to hit you (unless i got lucky) (Also this is the only scenario you should use steady body imo)
These tips are great, and I found that watching a speed runner can also help, particularly for some of the earlier bosses like hornet sentinel. This is because they have already figured out a solid method to finish the boss as fast as possible with their current load out to get the fastest times. By watching some speed runners like fireborn, I learned some great damage combos that I am using for bosses to be aggressive, yet safe while trying P5 with all bindings. For hornet sentinel, for example, while she is downed, you can hit her once directly, then immediately jump up and strike horizontally again. Your jump will meet her instant jump after you take her out of her downed phase. Then, immediately fire an abyss shriek and then hit her horizontally again when she lands on your other side. If you have extra soul, you can combo this last hit with a shade soul and that will knock her back, possibly hitting her twice. All this from her knocked phase. I got it all from speed runners and added the abyss shriek because speed runners would have only had vengeful spirit when fighting hornet and they would upstrike her after the second hit instead. Edit: Oh, and also, the watcher knights is a must do boss for speed runners in the any percent category. By watching them, I learned an aggressive approach that works well when you have one of them alone or just have a bit of time with the two on opposite sides of the screen. You get it to do the attack where it swings twice at you and then go on its opposite side. Hit it once, then while it tries to counter you with the same swing attack, pogo it & dash to its other side. Then repeat this process, adding a shade soul on the first hit. This sounds confusing, but it is much easier than it sounds and you can watch a speed runner do it for reference. The other thing they do is time their shade souls when they can hit both watcher knights. It does a ton of damage. When both of the knights are together, desolate dive works best because it gives you invincibility frames and hits them both.
Another tip for hornet protector: If you use grubberfly's elegy and quickslash, you can stagger her so often that she can almost never pull off an attack. Grubberfly's elegy is important because no matter where you are, there's a good chance you can hit her from there and keep the hit chain going for a quick stagger. Hope this helps!!
Extremely useful tip for Pure Vessel and NKG: Jump. No, really. If you do a full jump like half a second before they telegraph their attacks, then you're always in a position where you either dodge the first part of an attack (PV's dash, triple slash, void tendrils, NKG's ground dash, bats) or in a position in which you'll have enough time to react with shade cloak (PV's slam, NKG's pillars, pufferfish attack).
There is also a bit of a "safe spot" under Grimm and NKG when he is in the puffer fish phase where you fire off a few abyss shrieks. However this is quite risky if not done correctly so this strategy may not be the most viable for radiant mode. See ruclips.net/video/TmcxrvqUiTU/видео.html&t at 16:10
My recommendation for radiant markoth and how I beat them is I made a full spell build (spell twister soul catcher and eater, and shaman stone) and then I add nailmaster's glory and use exclusively great slash until phase 2 and then I have enough soul for 8 spells (soul twister) and the damage from shaman stone, so he has basically no health in phase 2 Also you can easily get 2 great slashes in before he starts attacking, and maybe 3 depending on his movement. Also great slash can get past the shield
Your Bloodborne/Hollow Knight content is so helpful and I can tell how much work you put into your guides and videos :) just want to say thanks for the helpful info
when he said that I generally assumed that it was 6 days from when he sat down and decided to 100% it (which I'm assuming would be after he already finished all the attuned bosses)
@Sparky :V I know, but I don’t really see a point of balder shell anyway. I feel like it takes a long time to activate and isn’t worth 3 charm notches for it and thorns. But that’s just my opinion.
Here's a tip for regular grimm in general: Stay close to the middle, and have at least refined nail. You also want cyclone slash. When grimm stabs his cloak into the ground, cyclone slash him during the attack.
As someone who uses Mark of Pride, Strength, and Quick Slash 99% of the time, Im surprised people would call it the noob build. It's more of a nail focused set, partially because I don't have to worry about filling up a meter for my main attack. It also makes my counters much more consistent.
(I am not sure if this works with the broken vessel) If you have a problem with Lost Kin than grab: Grimmchild, Glowing Womb, Grubsong, Weaversong and Defender's crest. When the fight starts go to the right wall, mantis claw up until you barely can see the knight and hold crystal dash. The Lost Kin can't jump to you, the ghost are killed by Grimmchild, Glowing Womb attacks the boss, and Weaversong collects soul. Now just hold the button and wait. If your weaver get's stuck just Crystal dash into the other wall and reposition yourself.
GPZ took me probably close to 25 attempts. And that’s because I would hardly ever use DD when I was in a pickle. Oblobble I thought would take me awhile too but I believe that took me close to ten
It took me like twenty-thirty tries to beat GPZ and more like fifty for Oblobbles. And that to me was nothing because I spent around 20 hours, which probably mean around hundreds of attempts to beat Markoth. After like 2-3 weeks with many break days , I finally did it.
@@kingtreedede7303 My strategy for GPZ is just to attack once or twice and then DD to have invincibility. Repeat this until he dies. You should use a spell charm set for this strategy.
Traitor lord’s dash can be tricky to time even with sharp shadow, so a pre emptive jump isn’t harmful. Ironically, sharp shadow will make this method less effective due to the increased dash distance
Weird tip for radiant markoth: use nailmasters glory, sharp shadow, and heavy blow. You can hit him through his shield with power slash and knock him far enough away that he usually won’t run into you if he’s traveling in your direction (If he’s changing direction he takes no knockback, use sharp shadow dash in those cases if he traps you), so you don’t have to wait to attack him. Also, when he starts rotating his shield really fast, just go into the farthest corner from him and dash slash him through his shield when he’s almost done looping if he’s above the lowest platform. If he’s below the lowest platform trying to hit him is really risky. As long as you stay on the high platforms and dodge the spikes while knocking him away it makes the fight a lot more consistent. You don’t have to wait to attack him, you don’t have to deal with spikes that spawn below your feet out of nowhere, and you have six more charm slots to destroy him with the minion build or something.
I’ve found nail masters glory to be more of a hindrance than a help for most bosses, problem is nail arts freeze you in place for a split second, on markoths second phase that’s just asking to get skewered. I finally beat him by doing what rusty did, pogoing on his head 1st phase then screaming into his butt second phase
@@oriondye3212 I use nailmasters glory for all my radiant bosses, and the stall only seems to be a danger during the pure vessel fight, and not as useful as normal swings for the zote fight. Otherwise it’s really good, the higher range and power tends to beat out normal swings for most fights, plus the stall is actually really useful for a lot of bosses, even during fights where it would seem dangerous, for example: You can use it to hit the radiance while dodging the side spikes, you can stall over winged nosk to hit him as he passes under you, you can power slash through markoths shield, etc. I used it against markoth in second phase to just keep attacking him and pushing him back while also dodging all the spears by staying on the top platform. Its also really useful for bosses that you can only hit once or twice per attack chain, like nightmare grimm. It’s definitely a personal preference charm though, if you don’t like it that’s fine. I used nailmasters and sharp shadow to beat most of my radiant bosses without TOO much trouble, the exception out of the bosses I’ve beaten being the collector. It’s really only a hindrance during the pure vessel, zote, and collector fights because you generally want your double jump back asap, and unbreakable strength is more useful for killing minions, but i love using it and I’ll find a way to beat them with it anyways.
When Grimm or nightmare Grimm goes into the bullet hell mode and, you can charge a nail art and do the dashing one right when he gets out of his shell and starts disappearing.
Traitor Lord is an exercise in using the shade cloak effectively. The time between his attacks is perfectly in line with your shade cloak cooldown as mentioned in the video, so focus on dodging for a while and don't even bother attacking, once you get into the rhythm of the fight it becomes trivial. This is coming from someone who struggled massively with it when I first went through, but now I find him one of the easiest fights in the pantheons
Attack with your nail so you can save up your soul; use Descending Dark to dodge his shockwaves. If you’re brave enough, equip Quick Slash to get multiple hits for each of his attacks; if you can manage to dodge everything without using the a Shade Cloak, you can pogo across his head when he charges, or walk straight under his dash-dive. Using this strategy, Traitor Lord has become a complete pushover to me; even at this point, please don’t *ever* let your guard down. He *will* kill you if you give him the chance. Edit: I mentioned Quick Slash in the first paragraph; as it turns out, you can actually get two slashes in *without* it. That said, Quick Slash could probably get you a third slash.
When he dashes laterally at you, pogo on his head and then desolate dive immediately. It does multiples of damage especially if he jumps afterwards. When he jumps, wait under him and quick slash like 3 times and await his next move. I usually get thru him with no hits with this strategy and I'm no expert at this game so I believe in you! Lol
People who say to dash with him are crazy. The time window with simply ore emptively jumping over him and then dashing is MUCH more forgiving as long as you’re holding the button down for max jump height. If you’re dashing though him on the ground, sharp shadow on. If jumping over, sharp shadow off.
I've been trying all radiant for a little over a week now. I just have to do markoth and absrad and i feel that these tips helped me quite a lot! thanks!
Moss charger: Quick slash, heavy blows, grubberfly elegy. He never even got close to me with this setup. Just dodge his leaps until he goes for the straight charge.
I already beat ab rad even with every handycap on... But I'mma still watch this. Why? Because Unlike the first two reasons given, I think Rusty is a cool youtuber. End of story. So I'm gonna keep watching his stuff till Silksong and then watch that too.
Nice video ! Also one complete cyclone slash (7 hits) and 3 normal hits is enough to knock the false knight down with the default nail so you can really abuse him, it gets to a point were you can knock him down before he begins an attack
For Abs Rad: If spell builds aren’t working for you, Steady Body + Quickslash is lowkey broken against Radiance. She doesn’t deal contact damage, so you can go nuts before she even starts attacking. The build I had equipped when I beat radiant Radiance was Strength, Shaman Stone, Quickslash, Steady Body, and Mark of Pride.
Tip for GPZ, D-Dive is your most valuable asset because of the invincibility frames. You can use it to counter most of his attacks, such as his nail flail and ground pounds. Specifically, the one where he teleports off-screen and comes crashing down, you can stand still and time a D-Dive to evade his shockwaves and make use of the long stagger animation to get some hits in.
dude I know you probably struggle with money and I want you to know you are a great youtuber and I watch every video of you, will make it through this don't stop making videos with hope - your biggest fan
14:46 charms, u can replace the mark of pride into the long nail and add the glowing womb for the nightmare king grimm for it helped allot to reduce the health while continuing dodging, and most of the time, you are supposed to be near king grimm when he is idle/ about to teleport, and mostly he does before, during or after his attacks.
This video literally helped me to complete the whole hall radiant except for AbsRad - but honestly I'm shocked NKG and Markoth worked so well with just a bunch of tips
13:32 charm set is wrong dash master realy good against sly. İt increases your shadow dash by a little which is usless unles you fight against sly because without that boost you cant do sharp shadow dash damage in his attack. And sly does that attack so much. Other thing is since you can do dash downward you can do damage by using it in his attack that he flys by turning into helicopter.
I started playing hollow knight 2022 autumn so I'm pretty new player. I can say that I'm very addicted to the game, hollow knight is probably my favorite game! I don't know how it happened but I have won almost all radiant fights and done two pantheons with all bindings. Right now I am fighting with absolute radiance (really cool and also hard boss by the way) and waiting for silksong. Your tips really helped me with radiant fights (especially markoth) so I wanted to say thank you for these tips!
This just made me realize how bad I am at this game. I didn't use spells often in case I needed to heal. And once I had a favorite set up with charms, I basically stuck with it. Never really noticing some of the cool mixes that can be done. Good video tho man!!
Dude, just the day before yesterday I started doing the bosses in radiant difficulty! I'm over halfway done, so there's that, but I have to say I had to learn many of these tips by force to get through haha. The one thing i'm going to say is that i rather use nail arts on many of them, because first it takes up 1 notch compared to 6 from strenght + quick slash, and second, because on many of the bosses you can just nail art and then do some dodging until it's the next time to strike, instead of having to constantly be at close range, especially for Grimm/NKG, because they disappear so fast and you can get 1 hit in pretty much every attack like you said, but with the nail art that hit really counts.
with normie grimm, I found that when he bows at the start of the fight, you can dream nail and then use howling wraths and the attack isn't interrupted. It takes a massive chunk of his health
13:35 "Stay in the middle of the screen at all times" I tried that and Sly just did the circle spin thing right at the start without even bouncing around
A few more tips : - grubfly elegy with quick slash can cheese some bosses, especially Sly, since you outrange him. - against radiance, always look what you have done 5s before being hit. Most of the death will be due to a bad positioning / management of your mobility options. So don't always look at the thing that got you hit, but also at what spent your mobility ressources before. Was it necessary ? - a general advice somewhat linked to the previous : don't Shadow dash too much. There are many patterns that actually don't require Shadow dash to be avoided. You will save more option, and more optimal dodges can let you rack up more damages
Thank you for this video, you have no idea how many countless hours this has saved and will continue to save. Still haven't beaten vanilla Radiance tho...
I’ll give me tips: always go in overcharmed, u die in one hit anyway so double damage doesn’t matter I saw some people talking about fallen/failed champ soul farming so I’ll just say that u can log on the shell during maggot phase to reset the timer During the final phase of ab salt the fire balls despawn out side your view so just bounce on radiants head and it’s easier The collector gives soul when dreamnailed too so get in on of those if u can
So I am INCREDIBLY weird apparently and heres why. Im THIS close to finally clearing P5 for the first time and im having trouble only on AbsRad obviously. But ive learnt some tricks so that I can speed kill all the bosses on my way back to AbsRad after I get royally screwed every time I reach her. The charm setup thats been working for me is Strength Longnail Shaman Stone and quickslash. Using a mix of nail and spell just fits my playstyle but here are thing ive learned from doing the 5th Pantheon countless amount of times. (If the boss aint there just assume what rusty said) False Knight: if you smack quick enough you can knock him down before hes even able to throw a punch. Hornet Protector: after shes stunned she almost always jumps up and over you... Time to scream and smack 2 times and stun once again. Both Defenders all just tall enough to scream into when theyre stunned IF you stand close enough to em. Oro and Mato: when one guards and the other jumps attacks you, if you go between the two they will almost always do the standard attack towards each other to "pincer" you so thats a great time to use descending dark. Both Crystal Guardians are just punching bags for your quick smack fest. You have to dodge maybe once or twice before they die. Soul Master: when Phase 2 begins, you can actually scream as an anticipation and maybe get some cheeky hits in. Also a dash is not always required to escape his dive. Moving to the side and jumping will 8/10 work just keep in mind he moves his dive to hit you... Weirdo. Also before each of the new dive, you can preemptively scream and dash away to lower his health. I personally LOVE Sisters of Battle. For me its just Pogo Simulator. Soul Tyrant: the scream trick from Master does NOT work here. He dives too fast. However if you want a full scream to hit, when he does his clock attack, if you get RIGHT UNDER his feet, you can scream and escape the attack safely. Collector: tall enough to scream while stunned. Just get close TMG: if you HAVE SOUL, smack him asap and scream as much as you got. If not, then wait a cycle Hornet sentinel: she jumps too fast to use scream to constantly stun her. Risky move. No eyes: youre a b**** Traitor Lord: shadow dash through horizontal attacks and when you see him do a vertical dive attack, use scream. Markoth: i hate you more than AbsRad GPZ: smack dodge snd dash simulator NKG: DONT DO THE SCREAM TECHNIQUE. ITS NOT WORTH THE MINIMUM 2 MASKS Pure Vessel: literally learned to parry the hollow knight on my steel soul run and it applies perfectly. Also he's tall enough to scream when stunned AbsRad: f*** you
Alternative build for The Collector: Don't worry about spells and instead focus on outputting damage quickly: Mark of Pride, Strength, Quick Slash, Sprint Master, Dash Master. The quick slash means you get in 2-3 hits where you would otherwise get in 1-2, about doubling your nail damage output, and sprint+dash increases your movement speed a lot, letting you get to fallen jars across the screen so you can slash at any primal aspids before they get to attack.
Recently made it to 112% thanks to your videos, Relyea and Perpetual noob, as well. I'm saving myself the mental anguish from doing radiant fights. doing the 5 pantheons once was plenty enough LOL :'D keep up the good work, man! \,,\
4:55 If you're having problems with the ballons, defenders crest (and you should have pure nail by now if you're fighting radiance bosses) will one-shot them
For collector, try to remain in the middle of the screen, dashing towards jars that are dropped to spawn kill the extras. The delayed drop is the boss. The boss’s only regular attack is following a jump, so let them jump over you and just destroy them with quick slash and strength
16:03 I blacked out. No idea how I didn't get hit there. Anyways, timestamps for specific bosses in description.
EDIT: I forgot Flukemarm, but... I don't think anyone needs tips for that one, so. Meh.
Great video
Yikes, my ass clenched just looking at that
You just wanted absolute radiant to shave your butt hairs for you
Something important to note:
When fighting the mawlek you can just use grubbersfly elegy (I don’t know if I wrote that right) and beat the crap out of him, at that point the only thing to worry about in that fight is the flying goo, but that shouldn’t be to difficult to dodge.

I’ve done that with a couple bosses, usually with minions involved. It depends on how long the bosses death animation is, i beat white defender after i died, but my minions killing pure vessel after i died didnt count. It’s kinda weird.

@@blazethegame My wings help me travel to many videos very fast
Greenchild ah yes, understandable. Me too
Tip: Grubberfly’s Elegy works as a supplement to fragile strength in fights with larger enemies such as Abs Rad of Failed Champion since you can’t take damage and lose it.
Yeah that charm breaks some fights in half, especially Flukemarm who becomes so easy you just stand still and attack
Yeah, you can heal safely with it without worrying about the globs.
What is the point when you can just nail them in 1 hit to get their soul and then heal
There isnt much time wasted killing the blobs and you get extra soul

I use this set because I have a really nail aggressive playing style, so I will just go in and nail blazing the entire pantheon. If it was radiant fight though, I would mix them all around and use a set that I think would be best for the fight. Just 100%ed the Hall of Gods about 10 minutes ago, and I couldn’t possibly be happier to be done with it. If you’re not a big spell user, here’s a few tips for Abs Rad:
-If you have Strength, Quick Slash, and Grubberfly Elegy, you can be dealing either 46 or 62 damage per hit, since some projectiles can hit twice.

Radiant Marmu killed me and my Dream Shield killed her as I was dying. Apparently the game took pity on me and counted it as a win.
That happened with enraged guardian and it still counted, maybe because bv has a loner death animation

@@jythmivena6617 Thanks man, depending on if they patched it, this is gonna help me a ton.

Of course, half of that is me forgetting to turn off the game when I left to do something else.
Steel soul isn’t that difficult, if it weren’t for me of course. Because I can literally end runs, here’s a few hints to help you in your pathetic, doomed plight:
1) Fragile charms for the win. The drawback is naught, because, well, dying is like, death.
2) Stay away from crystal peak and deepest for as long as possible.
3) Get spells as soon as possible, and make them shadowy
4) the last pale ore you should get is the conqueror trial, because you have to go through me to get it.
Good luck chief
Steel soul is really hard for all the wrong reasons lol
Its main difficulty comes from the stress of constantly being on your toes rather then the actuall challenge of not dying
Basically if you play it slow you’re guaranteed a win.
Gonna try this, because Marmu is really annoying
Another tip for hornet protector:
If you use grubberfly's elegy and quickslash, you can stagger her so often that she can almost never pull off an attack. Grubberfly's elegy is important because no matter where you are, there's a good chance you can hit her from there and keep the hit chain going for a quick stagger. Hope this helps!!
And if you want to swallow your pride, Use heavy blow too.
Appreciate the help! The grind is real
I thought you would just say ''This one is impposible, good luck.'' At Absolute Radiance
See ruclips.net/video/TmcxrvqUiTU/видео.html&t at 16:10
0:04 no, i just like your hollow knight tip vids
My recommendation for radiant markoth and how I beat them is I made a full spell build (spell twister soul catcher and eater, and shaman stone) and then I add nailmaster's glory and use exclusively great slash until phase 2 and then I have enough soul for 8 spells (soul twister) and the damage from shaman stone, so he has basically no health in phase 2
Also you can easily get 2 great slashes in before he starts attacking, and maybe 3 depending on his movement. Also great slash can get past the shield

When grimm stabs his cloak into the ground, cyclone slash him during the attack.
thanks radiance for the tip
As someone who uses Mark of Pride, Strength, and Quick Slash 99% of the time, Im surprised people would call it the noob build. It's more of a nail focused set, partially because I don't have to worry about filling up a meter for my main attack. It also makes my counters much more consistent.

(I am not sure if this works with the broken vessel)
If you have a problem with Lost Kin than grab:
Grimmchild, Glowing Womb, Grubsong, Weaversong and Defender's crest.
Man, GPZ took me like 3 attempts, was I just extremely lucky? On the other hand, I have 20+ attempts on oblobble and haven't beaten it yet .

Oh don't worry I missed clicked this video while trying to click lofi deepnest ambiance. It's a great song you should look it up.
Or make it.
When Grimm or nightmare Grimm goes into the bullet hell mode and, you can charge a nail art and do the dashing one right when he gets out of his shell and starts disappearing.
Lol, I can't even beat the regular Mantis Traitor. I've stuck on him for days now, with Grimm whooping my ass in between ragequits.
@@hazelcalderbank1556 I'm not even in the pantheon! (Don't really know what it is anyway)

I was literally trying to click a music video 10 hours 😅
dude I know you probably struggle with money and I want you to know you are a great youtuber and I watch every video of you, will make it through this don't stop making videos with hope - your biggest fan
As someone who is already done them all, this is pretty accurate. Have fun
Soon, it will be "those 46 dislikes are from the bosses who you told everyone how to kick the ass of"
This video literally helped me to complete the whole hall radiant except for AbsRad - but honestly I'm shocked NKG and Markoth worked so well with just a bunch of tips
Where’s flukemarm?
You don’t need a tip for flukemarm, just pogo up and shreake the hell out of hear
I have nothing smart or clever to say so I'm just gonna leave this comment because why not.
4:31 When broken vessel goes nuts in the middle you can acually pogo him and go left right to dodge and do hits without worrying about dying.
Healing: *Exists*
Double-damage based bosses: *Woah....this is worthless!*
So i'm goin' to assume these methods work for the regular bosses too, so thamks for that one mate, needed this.
“You won’t finish this in a day”
That SOUNDS like a challenge to me

"Stay in the middle of the screen at all times"
I tried that and Sly just did the circle spin thing right at the start without even bouncing around
your hollow knight videos are saving me from this deadly quarantine. thank you.
A few more tips :
- grubfly elegy with quick slash can cheese some bosses, especially Sly, since you outrange him.
I’ll give me tips:
always go in overcharmed, u die in one hit anyway so double damage doesn’t matter
I saw some people talking about fallen/failed champ soul farming so I’ll just say that u can log on the shell during maggot phase to reset the timer
During the final phase of ab salt the fire balls despawn out side your view so just bounce on radiants head and it’s easier
The collector gives soul when dreamnailed too so get in on of those if u can
So I am INCREDIBLY weird apparently and heres why. (If the boss aint there just assume what rusty said)
False Knight: if you smack quick enough you can knock him down before hes even able to throw a punch.
Just get close
TMG: if you HAVE SOUL, smack him asap and scream as much as you got. If not, then wait a cycle
Hornet sentinel: she jumps too fast to use scream to constantly stun her. Risky move.
No eyes: youre a b****
Traitor Lord: shadow dash through horizontal attacks and when you see him do a vertical dive attack, use scream.
Markoth: i hate you more than AbsRad
GPZ: smack dodge snd dash simulator
NKG: DONT DO THE SCREAM TECHNIQUE. ITS NOT WORTH THE MINIMUM 2 MASKS
Pure Vessel: literally learned to parry the hollow knight on my steel soul run and it applies perfectly. Also he's tall enough to scream when stunned
AbsRad: f*** you
Yo rusty try these out and tell me if im insane or not cause these work just fine for me lmao
Thank you sooooooo much Rusty. I finally beat radiant gruz mother and I feel like my life is complete.
2:46 Oh my god you’re doing this bit again
Recently made it to 112% thanks to your videos, Relyea and Perpetual noob, as well. I'm saving myself the mental anguish from doing radiant fights. doing the 5 pantheons once was plenty enough LOL :'D keep up the good work, man! \,,\
4:55
If you're having problems with the ballons, defenders crest (and you should have pure nail by now if you're fighting radiance bosses) will one-shot them
I am here for neither of the listed reasons. I genuinely just enjoy your content and wanted to watch it even though I don't play the game. ^-^
For collector, try to remain in the middle of the screen, dashing towards jars that are dropped to spawn kill the extras. The delayed drop is the boss. The boss’s only regular attack is following a jump, so let them jump over you and just destroy them with quick slash and strength
