The cup was broken yesterday. Since there is only 1 object, it’s required to use was. However, if there were multiple objects, you can use were. Unless it is uncountable, you can only use was in that case.
In this case, we must use V3 of the word “eat” which is “eaten” Additionally, don’t forget to add -s behind the word “day”, since it is more than 1 day. Result: The sandwich was eaten 2 days ago.
