“Nothing says welcome to Orlando better than a hard landing” true facts right there. I live on Long Island and always use this airport when going to MCO so this trip report really hit close. Thanks 🤩
I flew into Islip on my first trip to NYC in 1999, flying American from Austin via O'Hare. My return trip started on a Business Express Saab 340 to Boston, then American to ORD and Austin. At least two of the American segments were on Fokker F28's, the twin jets with oval windows.
flew on southwest economy from the philly international airport to the orlando international airport, we were headed to disney word used southwest to head back aswell 11/16/2019-11/23/2019
I like sitting in back also. I'll tell the FA at the rear of the aircraft "I'm manning the Tail Gunner position". They usually get a chuckle out of that.
Only Quintin could turn such a simple domestic flight such as this into a visual work of art. Great to get some of the stats and history of ISP as well.
This Q re-view is brought to you by Coke with ice. I consider this video to be one of the true gems in the QFS Aviation collection and deserving of many more views and likes. So hit the buttons after you watch it. Well done Quebec Foxtrot Sierra and thanks for sharing!!
I flew to Orlando back in June 2019. My flights to Orlando and back to Baltimore were both 737-700s in the previous livery. I was hoping they would use the 737-800 during my flight cause Orlando is a popular summer destination for Southwest.
omaha airport does have an A&W only one in nebraska also its on the south concourse food court aka terminal one before security and it houses american delta frontier and alaska airlines
I've always loved the product offered by Southwest, but those seats and the lack of available food items for purchase in-flight can make long-hauls with them really challenging. If you're lucky, you'll get a great cabin crew or a really nice gate agent who'll let you quickly deplane to purchase something at one of the vendors inside a terminal during one of your legs. My last trip out was in August. Because of the issues with the MAX, I was re-routed by SWA at the last minute. Literally went from BUF-BWI-LAX-OAK-PDX. I was hungry, tired, and had a serious case of 'booty-itis' by the time I got home just after midnight. As always, thanks so much for sharing...
hope you enjoyed flying those maddogs on american arilines also u flew to scottsbluff nebraska fly to omaha i want to show you something omaha nebraska was a huge part in the transcontinental airmail service from san francisco to new york city omahas airport used to be where i go to college at university of nebraska at omaha but in 1924 hangars destroyed by a tornado moved operations to fort crook airport now offut air force base and omaha municipal airport now omaha eppley airfield
ISP is great. I work for JetBlue and town been begging for us to move in. There's supposed to be new terminal being built and then rumor is we move in. I'll transfer in a sec. I live on Long Island.
@@frankgrimesification Because JetBlue planned on making a large operation. Also the idea was for a new terminal to be built over by the LIRR station and have the train connecting to the terminal. You gotta remember, Southwest planned on expanding more. They had a somewhat large op that was gonna get bigger. Things obviously changed and I'm talking precovid.
Southwest doesn't offer the amenities, but this is my airline of choice most of the time... I travel with my light carry on..and bring my own food...most of the time I prepare my favorite sandwiches at home, my favorite fruits and snacks and I am good to go....saves me the hassle of buying expensive airport food.....on return trips, I buy outside food to bring on board..it really saves, what with the outrageous prices of airport food.. saving me alot of money.. .seating in back of the plane is best..most people don't like going all the way to the back of the plane to sit, as I do , which if its not a full flight chances are , you will have more room for yourself if that middle seat is empty...I like Southwest's open seating concept..
cant wait to fly from omaha to orlando via dallas love field on october 19th and october 22nd orlando to omaha via chicago midway one 800 three 700s on southwest airlines
I mean it just made the video excessively longer, and I’ve been trying to keep the total length down. In the future I’ll keep more footage of it though
Have you ever considered voice over, bro? I like to multi task when I watch RUclips, but it's so easy to miss something if don't read all the subtitles.
Has anyone else realize that if Southwest flys to a non-majority airport (airports that are not lax, sfo, jfk, etc), they are always the majority at that airport? Like this one, El Paso, San Jose, Orange County, and etc
Pretty trash, no IFE, old dated looking interiors. Delta is still the best American domestic carrier by a long shot. I'm lucky I live close to a major Delta hub here in metro Detroit!
From my experience Islip is really nice and underrated
it is so simple and uncomplicated...i live here and its my go to for Florida flights.
It really is

It’s a vacation Flight
Did I miss something. You should’ve landed with daylight not night time
This video explains everything I like about Southwest. Looks like a friendly crew and friendly agents in the terminals.

I wish Southwest or Frontier would pick up service to Charlotte. When I go visit family in NY I’m only minutes away from MacAurthur
I love Southwest Airlines
6:23 What are u talking about, Southwest legroom is amazing for a low cost carrier.

with newark ending southwest flights more people will be flying southwest out of islip
Either that or LGA.
Logan Donnelly nope
Probably not--ISP is pretty far out of EWR's catchment area.
What is the name of the song 3:50 ?

Why would they build a new terminal? The terminals they have now are sizeable and are like big mortuaries most of the day.
