On November 22, I flew Frontier Airlines down to Florida from Long Island MacArthur Airport. Frontier Airlines is an American ultra-low-cost carrier headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The eighth-largest commercial airline in the US, Frontier Airlines operates flights to over 100 destinations throughout the United States and 30 international destinations and employs more than 3,000 people.

Really nice video, great trip report inside the Frontier A320N!
My Wife and I flew on them 2 weeks ago to Florida, don't waste your time, they offer only water on their planes and there's practically no leg space, they charge 100 dollars for carry-on. Next time we're using JetBlue or Southwest. They at least give you a cup of coffee.

Feel like Frontier could really expand on their product if they at least added wifi and some sort of mobile IFE to their aircraft.

Problem is it adds weight and consumes more fuel. Their target is people who only are looking for a way to get from A to B
They could, but do you need that? No. Saving costs where ever you can is the „secret“ of low cost airlines.

price wise not a bad carrier compaired to the big three.
@Blue collar Silver dollar JetBlue is really great but they dont have the nonstops frontier does and you can fly insanely cheap if your dates are somewhat flexible.

It’s interesting to see what LCCs offer. You get what you pay for. For me it’s totally okay as I’m young and always try to travel cheap. However I’m sure there are older people who prefer the american main carriers

A great report mate, looked like an enjoyable trip. I had never heard of Islip until today! I've been a fan of Frontier for a very long time, maybe it was those adverts that did it for me. I really like how they have the animal by the boarding door too, little things like that :)

Great views on take off !! Plane looks pretty good!! Possibly the smallest tray tables I have ever seen on ANY aircraft after many years of flying !! Nice views on landing as well !! Reasonable flight on an LCC...but I agree the food and drinks are too expensive...best to eat and drink before boarding. Well done again mate and I look forward to your next adventure !!

I’ve flown out of this airport often, it’s really easy to fly out of here compared to LGA and JFK. Wish they had more options to more places

We have a similar situation up here at Stewart Airport in the Hudson Valley. Many airlines started service, but most pulled out, leaving only JetBlue, Allegiant, American Eagle, and Delta Connection. It’s a booming area, but most people would rather trek to Newark for cheaper fares and nonstop flights.

In 2012 Frontier came to my hometown of Trenton, NJ and they have been successful out of New Jersey's capital city as they fly to almost twenty different destinations. (Nine year round destinations, and seven seasonal destinations with Orlando being it's most popular destination). In May as a American Airlines loyal flyer I am using Frontier for the first time from Trenton to Orlando as it was cheaper and I only live fifteen minutes from Trenton Mercer Airport.
Have another thought flying Frontier again?

They should add blue and green seats with a little of white texture, I really like frontier and I think it could be better.
Looks like American Ryanair. I do not understand why they couldn't add local Wi-Fi for IFE. I'm not an expert, but it seems to me that it doesn't cost an arm and leg in aircraft scale.
I've recently done my intro flight at ISP. First time taking off an airplane (Cessna 172) on my own. It was a great experience overall.

Yep Everything is Paid for nothing free on Frontier from Water, to soda to snacks and box meals. So if your hungry during the flight you better arrive early and do some shopping from snacks, drinka Have an early morning flight considered stopping by what ever open in the terminal Mcdonalds, dunk donuits, chick fil a, etc.
I flew on Frontier pre-ULCC days... It was ok back then..... Won't touch them today.

@@andreworiez8920 Ohh I see. Are you not allowed to sit exit row? Just curious. One time american separated me and my girlfriend, and the exit row had the only two seats left next to each other. The woman at the gate gave us those seats, saying she put in the computer that we were handicapped so it would be no charge. This was an ERJ-145 though. It seems on larger aircraft you have to be able to operate the door in an emergency.

I agree Quintin, after being nickled and dimed for everything is probably is better to use an airline where that doesn't happen. If I travel budget flights it is ALWAYS on Southwest. Frontier used to be an excellent airline until they went to the dark side. $2.99 for a soda is ridiculous even if it is in the sky !

Bare bones in all respects. Hopefully the ticket price reflected that! Three bucks for a drink of water is a bit much - at least they should give you water for free! The only thing they missed was having a pay toilet.

Frontier is the best at being a low cost carrier
You could have shown a little of the Tampa Airport. It's $1 in the country and was #2 in the world.

They do, at least in most cases. I've flown frontier a few times and gotten water every time.

It's a pretty cheap-o flight not to offer complimentary beverages for 0... not even water? And how did you rate inflight entertainment 2- out of 10? There was ZERO amount of IFE

As you know, MacArthur Airport doesn’t fly out of USA. These airport is for Long Island natives.
People doesn’t want to drive either go to LGA and/or JFK airports. It’s further than you drive to MacArthur from location.
Frontier is an discount airlines. Frontier fly to the smallest to largest airports in USA. Great discount for Frontier!!!
Frontier only have all-Airbus aircrafts. I don’t think Frontier will not order any aircrafts from Boeing.

Otherwise on Frontier your assigned random seats and maybe seperated depending what seats are available at time of check in.
ISP is still an actual commercial airport LOL. A whole 2 airlines
if you are flying to omaha id recommend southwest airlines which is my favorite or if you want to fly on maddogs before they are retired delta airlines md 88s or md 90s quintin maybe fly delta from omaha to atlanta or atlanta to omaha or fly chicago midway to omaha on southwest then omaha to atlanta on delta or vice versa

What an sad idea, tipping someone and the company steals it.
One of many negatives I have with Frontier. I don’t know of any other ULCC that includes tips.
I’d rather fly on a brand new frontier for 100 bucks than fly on an aging aircraft from anybody else for 400 just because they have first class or a couple of more inches on economy. Plus frontier has great service compared to other airlines.

Frontier and Spirit are probably the most ghetto U.S. carriers---and that's saying a lot considering the great race to the bottom all the U.S. carriers are competing in.

It's to show the space between them to put more perspective on how much room there is. I personally don't find anything annoying about it but to each their own.
Be kinda cool if you stuck with 1 camera shot, the jumping around editing is dumb. Or just don't have it at all since you are doing "flight review"
