I have almost 1900 hours in and I just discovered this fix a couple of weeks ago. I'm running a 9800X3d so I'm right on the edge of just brute-forcing performance, but still cpu-bound in several areas. The engine optimizations took care of a hitch I had every 2-3 seconds traversing the Mast District and just in general smoothed things out a lot. I game at 4k, so the issue was there for me even at high resolution. Plus I like some of the other toggles, like unholstering force-holstered weapons at the end of conversations, etc.
@@dkindig I had been utilizing the engine fix mod for quite sometime before I tried the EngineLoadOprimization option or any of the optional features, I felt silly for not utilizing it earlier, the whole point of this video was to help other people from making the same mistakes. For reference my rig is CPU - 7800x3D GPU - 7900xtx I play in 4k-Ultra everything-no frame Gen and no upscaling - cool mods like Starfield HD overhaul, Luma, etc and many others and with this feature on it runs smooth as silk.
