This was my first RPG ever. I rented the game back in the day, we were basically next to poor. Got the game for the weekend, didnt finish of course. Asked at the place would they sell it to me, my Dad gave me 6e(this was well more than 20y ago) and i knew it was gonna be too little. They asked for another 15. I left that as downpayment. Went home, didnt ask, or throw tantrums, i knew our situation too well. And my Dad just brings me the rest, i have no idea how or from where, tells me... Go buy it son. So of course i ran, and it was all i played for years. It is still in my working SNES 😁 And ever since i have been paying back that kindness to my dad every chance i get. This is the most special game of my life

I've only just recently picked up Breath of fire 2, and after hearing so many stories about it from my older brother and my dad about how good 2 3 and 4 were I knew I was going to have fun yet I severely underestimated it, it blew me away and is such a fun game with fun characters and honestly, the whole experience so far has been so good, my only regret was that I didn't grow up with this game.

If you rescue the old man from Evrai, "Memories" starts to play when you discover the old man's identity. It's one of the most emotional moments I've seen in a video game.

BoF2 is the best one hands down. There is just so much soul in every pixel. I know it's mostly nostalgia - I recently tried to play it on switch and it was a bit too slow for my tastes. But that ART! I never got the chance to play 3 or 4 back in the day. I almost beat 3 recently (thank you fast forward), but it feels shallow compared to what I felt for BoF2. I'm super gay but still in Love with Bleu and everything she stands for

I am not a person who likes music in the same way most people do, 95% of my music playlist is from games and are various remixes of songs that have meaning to me, Breath of Fire 2 is my second favorite game of all time (behind twilight Princess) and I've know it wasn't a very big game, so I was looking up remixes of songs hoping to find 1 or 2 good ones and found this, legit teared up a bit and am very excited to listen to the entire thing later tonight.
