Switching off to get the effect immediately isn't exactly a bug. It was a fix for a different problem. People spamming the sound by clicking, unequipping before the buff was applied, and then playing it again, over and over to annoy the whole server.
@@TheFoolishOneLives honestly even just bugle + charge is overkill most of the time, id often times rather have them individually for a longer duration or for 2 tense moments instead of just blowing all the buffs on one bad situation.

bugle is like officer charge but no speed boost to evade in exchange for able to use it more frequently and last longer. so the bugle is just you playing officer but no firearm to shoot but then you can use your "charge" much more common
Wouldn't the bugle and the crucifix also be effective? The crucifix doesn't require any kills to fill up the meter,plus you would decrease the chance of a zapper attacking you or anyone accidentally melee attacking a bomber.
Im a little late to the party, but the bugle effect being activated even if you unequip the bugle is intentional to prevent 'bugle spamming'. Before that the effect would not be activated unless the amimation was over, so that made for a pretty annoying experience for us non-bugle peasants
The best thing about the bugle is that it turns musician from a background character to a powerful combat class that can also support his teamates. With the drums and fife u can only support teamates outside of combat but with the bugle you can do combat and support at the same time.

I hope you can agree with me on this, the MUSKET is better than the Pike. People say Pike has longer range and all (vs the bayonet) but I believe the range is equivalent. In addition, Bayonet doesn't reduce walkspeed and it's a second resource that doesn't take up as much space as Pike. Pike just becomes a whole primary but the bayonet is basically the secondary of the primary, the Musket. The rest of the statistics are equivalent I believe but Pike has no other variant besides down, and the Bayonet's up variant has a slower attack rate than the bottom but ends up instant killing the zombies due to headshots. Overall, the bayonet or Musket is better than Pike, I don't understand if you want to be a Lancer class for the looks or anything else, the Musket is a multitasking spectacle of true potential. Hope you agree with me.
Wow, thanks. it takes so much time for people to truly realize that the pike is not only a large waste of money but a loss of resource. The disadvantages for pike are, Slower walkspeed, takes up your whole primary unlike bayonet, does equal damage like the bayonet, small hitbox and doesn't have much range comparing it to the Whole musket. Its only advantages are being able to pierce through solid objects (possibly due to the small hitbox it has), Gets you a Lancer subclass, which won't help since it's just a title, and it has long range in terms of melee. 2 or 3 advantages if you count the lancer part.@@spiritmoon5998

Remember that it takes like ~8 hits to fully charge the bugle & officer charge (way too quick in my opinion) when you keep slaying those zombies. You can charge it in literally two swings if you hit four zombies each time. It’s insane and I could charge bugle like 6-7 times in Leipzig.

Just tried bugle yesterday And to be honest, its the best buff support I have used so far. And to be honest (2) This guy makes the worst expectations of people to the best situation to be used for.
The bugle is amazing. Why? Well I found myself bored by pike and handaxe but sabre stuck out and what forces you to use the sabre? Thats right! Office- MUSICIAN Musician. Bugler to be exact and it was a perfect class for me to play with during my sabre hungry period.

A fun fact you might not know but you can use cross halfway in its charge (its a bit over halfwaysadly)
it ability to use at 60% is really useful but it got replace by a unequip mechanism that penalty you for unequip it

Another very good combo would be the drums, it gives you a faster swing rate. Combine that with the bugle and it is just so 😩
