P.S. as of July 5th 2024 it seems that there are some people who have no problem with it and other people who can't do it. It may be easier to do this with the same strategies on other maps such as Vardohaus Fortress.

The bomb zombie is a blessing and a curse at the same time. It destroys your buildings, but, on the other hand, destroys the horde too.
I got saved by one bomber in wave 16 doing the solo run, he eliminated the 6 zombies around me (one grabbed me and i survived unscratched).

@@WatdoIknough true, sometimes a runner can save you from a bomber aswell by pushing you to a lesz deadly distance (and also taking most of the damage for you).

Thanks for the strat, it really helped me get the badge. I also had this funny moment at wave 18 where it appeared that all of the bombers started exploding after spawning, killing every other infected. I didn't want to come down but it sounded just like that.

I implemented the same strategy in a different spot in the same map, i almost lost the final wave but i was saved miraculously by a bomber and i was able to complete the achievement, your strats really helped me out and i know how to play sapper much more efficiently now
They are very useful for regular gameplay too yes
The fact that my worst enemies (bombers) will somehow come in handy is incredibly interesting.

I TRIED THIS ON MULTIPLE MAPS AND FAILED AT WAVE 17-18 EVERY TIME BECAUSE THERES ALWAYS ONE RUNNER OR SHAMBLER JUMPING OVER MY BARRICADE
make sure the barricade is placed behind where they pop up and make sure to stay behind them

And remember people, patience is key. You're probably not going to get the badge first try, took me a long while to get it.
Don't panic, don't spam axe swings, analyze which zombies are on the other side of the barricade, and most important tip - have hope in yourself that you are able to do it.

I would like to share my strat here for anyone having trouble with camping:
Go to Hougomont, play as seaman (blunderbuss and sabre), equip grenades, go to the large area at the back when you spawn, just play normally because there’s not much zombies. Starting from wave 7, melee all runners first, shoot if a bomber appears at the door, toss a grenade, start running in circle and melee all zombies, repeat until the end of the run
Notes:
- Do not reload after your first shot, even if there are still some bombers left. Wait until the end of the wave
- You should always have at least one grenade left for emergency
- Make sure you stay in the area so no zombies can spawn at the back

(I made this strat because I’m a terrible camper lol, even after this strat. Mostly because I’ve gotten used to free run strats from multiple games so whenever I see a large area with little to no obstacle, I just instinctively decide to run around that same area until I die)
Thank you so much!!! I tried thrice to get this on vardo, but failed each time. My best was 14 waves, and then died right before wave 15. This was less than a week ago. But then the next day, i saw this video and tried it out. Died the first time around wave 13, but then, after quite a while of trying, i got it on my second try. Thank you so much. I love the french fork beard, it just looks so good on my avatar.

did the same technique in this video I follow. for some damn reason, the bombers climbed up first when the wave started, I mean like 2 bombers came up first and explode 3-5 barricades right after the huge horde of shamblers, runners and zappers came up after those 2., and yes I died. I did this more than 5 attempts in one server, more than 3 hours. and I finally got the hidden achievement, I'm finally done with that trauma and nightmare.

this worked on what i think was my fourth try, thank you very much! I didnt use the repair tactic instead i just cut it very close for when i was hitting bombers and when they detonated.

The strategy did work. There's just a small problem that's the barricade can't be built near the ladder, which makes the space available to build barricades is reduced. Ultimately, the bombers sometimes don't go in group and explode all at once, and they destroyed a large number of barricades which requires a lot of time to build before entering a new wave. In short, this strategy is decent and will work if done correctly.
it's probably the easiest way to get the badge rn since all others are patched or a hassle

Shoving bombers won't work but it stalls the destruction of the barricade so more zombies stack up

As an Old Guard Veteran, I find this strategy pretty smart and is really helpful if you are looking forward to getting the badge. It might require some practice.

You know I tried to get this achievement and I found out that a zombie wound try to break the barricade even if your right next to them. So you can just repair it and place more barricades in the meantime, but remember to repair the barricade so that the zombie's targeting wouldn't change.
i recomend placing stakes to where the ladder and shelf ends, like when they climb it where they enter. it will kill all runners and trigger barrels. did it first try with that technique.

Tried this method, took me 5 tries but I eventually got the badge. Best strategy for alone at the end of the world and it's pretty easy.

I got it using a weird glitch on the same map. In the hallway next to the big fire if you place a barricade at a *very* specific spot, you can fuck with the Pathfinding of the zombies and make them take weird but importantly long ways to get to you, allowing you to do a number of things

If you want a higher chance, wear the siege engineer armour. Helps you against them pesky bombers if you accidentally melee it.
@@PlannerTheGreat personally I wouldn't recommend it since it risks Francs and makes it harder to repair and build while only being useful if you have a horrendous skill issue

hougoumount is one of the best maps to do this cause right next to spawn there are staircases that you can place stakes ontop and will kill any kind of zombies but take note that in the first wave for some reason you cant build anythign on the roof but it will be fixed on the 2nd wave and some tips if you are gonna do it on that map dont place anything near those stakes because a bomber can explode the near builds like inside the house stuff make it so that you dont place anything close to it and if your in danger go inside the house through the window if the stakes are gone it took me about 10 tries to get to wave 20 but if i were to learn everything from the start it would be easily a map that would only take about 3 tries to complete

The badge/achievement is hard to get physically because of the amount of zombies that spawn increasing the difficulty, but mentally for some people, knowing that you're by yourself, alone...

we got G&B strats before GTA 6
You can place stakes next to the ladders (above the ladders) it will damage the stragglers and die while they cant do anything because are in a climbing animation, they also move alot during climbing so stakes would work perfectly

This, this is the one that works, i got to wave 19 on my 3rd try but meleed a bomber and died, ill surely get it on the next try.. Hopefully
just make sure to avoid using melee hits when you see bombers or they get close
I was getting sandwhiched on both sides so i wasnt really looking and by the time i saw the torch it was too late and the axe was already moving

Also use axe instead of pickaxe, so you have kill the hordes faster and more damage. Trust me, axe is good for this badge

Yep. Pickaxe is VERY situational, and is only good for picking off high hp zombies like zappers or literally any zombie in hardcore. Terrible for crowd control

Cool strategy, but you could prevent barricade explosions. Bombers are triggering on non-built barricades, so you could place one in the white hall to get bomber triggered. Non-built barricades have no collision, so shamblers and other crap would go through it.(I hope anyone got my point)
This achievent took me one try when I used this knowledge
he uses the bombers to kill the zombies here tho you could probably do the same thing with grenades

1:06 you don’t actually have to move back and forth you can stand in the middle of the barricade and they won’t grab you while your still in range to hit them with the axe

No, but I think it could work if you spaced out the barricades and played optimally.
Just like Tank Fish's strat when his team was playing that map. 1 chaplain, 2-3 musicians (Fife and drum or all 3), 1 surgeon, atleast 3 sappers, 2-3 pikemen, then the rest seamen

Better is to use sapper in vard endless, build barricades and caltrops before the entrance build 2 unfinished barriers to auto detonate bombers also build outside the 2 side windows(2 barriers) and 1 on the side window in the upper floor of the house before the shed. Congratulations you have no bombers in ur a way and a good setup!
Edit: don't do above strat I tested this with the unfinished barricade trick and it is better use it instead.

Good news and bad news with this strat:
Bad news is the zombies stopped pathfinding to me after wave 13, and I didn’t kill a single one after that
Good news is that it still gave me the wave after 3 mins lol, meaning I was even able to get to wave 35 for the other achievement lmao
Update: when I maxed out my audio I could hear the boomers explode, so I’m assuming the all were dying as they spawned :D

I did this in houngomount like 1 month ago before the update of sleepy hollow came out, you have to put stakes and they can js kill every zombie till the bombers come, its pretty easy

Yes, it is meant to stack up zombies and kill them for you with the bomb while also keeping more of your barricades up

thumb for movement and attack, right index finger for camera control (recommended in 1st person)
Using mobile isn't too different. You just have a harder time playing with two fingers (you're a legend if you still use it). Poor performance/ ragdolls and device heat are mainly the problem with low fps.

There is a bug with barricades: if you leave a zombie alone with a couple of barricades, it disappears and if you don't move, no zombie will appear in the next wave.
Did it in my third attempt with this technique, thanks if it wouldnt for this i would have not completed this lol

for the doors part
it’s way easier if you just shove it
you can hit the two doors with one swing and it get destroyed immediately
also I prefer using stakes rather than barricades since it kills bombers instantly meaning you don’t have to activate them and wait longer, risking the fact the zombies can destroy the barricades and letting the bomber destroy just one more building
@@Aloquis is handy to let the zombies build up and just fix the barricade until it explodes
how do you fix a part where some zombies attack/focuses on your barricades at the back/other side? because im having that problem rn and idk how to resolve it
I'm having some problems with this strategy, the first is that the game doesn't allow me to place the barrier as close to the stairs, as you did in the video, also sometimes the zombies climb up on the other side, on the wooden platform, this gets in the way a lot because I have to watch both sides, which always makes me lose, if you can help or give any tips I would be grateful.

The best thing to do is to keep your barricades apart so bombers don’t explode 2 in 1.
It is a good thing to do but only as much as the space will allow for and you need to make sure the zombies are still close together during the explosion

La haye sainte easier in my opinion, because the zombies could fall down and they cant make a big horde. And its easier to fix the barricades.

i'd recommend setting max ragdolls to 0 so it wont lag and wont cover the barricade since you cant repair barricades through the ragdolls. its so much easier this way

I have some weird things happened to my PS, like when I reached wave 10 I heard bombers exploding and sword Slashes and no zombies where going to me. and I checked my PS server list and I was the only one, I really don't know if it's a bug or not
The shoving is the only provlem I have- it takes rather long especially on mobile. Got grabbed because of that.

I tried this on console, but the books and bottles were blocking my buildings, so I couldn't place them correctly.

I'm wary of bombers so I build down there to avoid them or I throw a grenade and it will explode and hit the next bomber.
I got the badge around month ago with this strat but what i would say is that you can't place barricades near the ladder anymore

This is a perfect strategy. However, in my runs, I can't place my barricades close to the ladder, and instead have to back up farther into the wall. This doesn't feel like a problem at first, but now I keep dying on waves 18 or 19 because the bomber's path finding is either messed up and not killing the hoards as much, or it just decides not to do it's job. Each run I do I get less and less motivated to get the badge, and it's very boring doing the same thing over and over just to die because of something that I couldn't control. Idk if they nerfed how close you could put your barricades to the ladder, but I need some advice in what to do, because I'm honestly confused what I'm doing wrong. I might be putting my barricades to close, but also in my runs, the zombies path finding breaks and decides to go around the top of the barn to the end of my barricades instead of the start, where I am. This confuses me and I just hate doing this strategy perfectly only to find out I lost because of something the game did, rather than something I did.
TLDR; The game keeps making me lose because the bombers are killing the hoards as they should be, the path finding keeps breaking on the zombies, I can't place my barricades close to the ladder like he did, and now I'm getting demotivated. (HELP!!!!)

I added the spikes near at the ladder so everytime they go up, most die instantly
I prefer La Haye Sainte and La Ferme for "Alone at the End of The World". Both maps are good for this strategy
