    CR250R40 I was disappointed when it got cancelled myself.It was a nice touch of nostalgia and it introduced me to many things I hadn't previously known.

    I watched every episode of Instant Recall. When it was cancelled I was disheartened. Have missed the show since.

    The Price Is Right premiered just 7 months before I was born so I can honestly say it's been on the air longer than I've been in this world.There's few other active shows I can say that about,but 60 Minutes is one that comes to mind.

    I used to watch this show once in a while when it was on and it was very interesting.

    wmbrown6 Instant Recall was actually syndicated,although I suspect many NBC affiliates aired it during the 1990-91 season.I got it at the time on Detroit's NBC affiliate,WDIV-TV.

    6:07 - 6:10...unforgettable great theme music to a great short-lived show😔...perhaps the varied time slot it was in during the early 90's aided to its untimely departure?

    "Instant Recall" was a syndicated series that Mr. Palmer hosted after he left NBC News. (He later rejoined the network.)

    KPIX in San Francisco aired this show late night since it was paired with inside edition at that time.

    The New Price Is Right debuted at 10:30 AM Eastern time on 9/4/72. The Joker's Wild debuted at 10:00 AM and Gambit debuted at 11:00 AM that same day. It wasn't until 1973 that CBS moved the renamed The Price Is Right to 3:00 PM Eastern time to lead in for a new show where Gene Rayburn played with "Matches" but never burned his BLANK.

    @VintageTelevision - Which was on NBC. Was "Instant Recall" on the peacock network, given John Palmer's involvement?

    @wmbrown6
    That was "Dateline NBC," I think.

    @heine71 You mean September 4, 1972, don't you?

    @Tubewings - Wasn't this from the same network that once fabricated car tests to try to sink an auto manufacturer?

    @VideoSurferClassic Amen to that!

    This report stated that the show debuted at 3:00pm that day when it actually was on at 10:30am. It didn't move to the afternoon until March of '73. Otherwise, a nice and rare look back at the rarely seen premiere.

    I don't know where these guys got their information. As many game show fans know, "The Price is Right" debuted IN DAYTIME on November 26, 1956. The prime-time version didn't debut until the following year (1957).
    And that other game show was "Supermarket Sweep," not "Supermarket Sweepstakes."

    1:57 Exactly ten years later, Janice Pennington was let go from the show. For me, that's when the show actually died.

    @LowellDevil Too bad it only ran one season.

    I was referring to the ORIGINAL Price is Right in my original comment.
