So inspiring! My favorites are your son at the sink and the roses at the end. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Catherine! I really felt inspired and 'in the flow' when doing both of those - so it's interesting you picked them out!

I just happened upon your sketchbook and oh my, how beautiful! I am new to watercolor and just bought a sketchbook to try different techniques and subjects. Yours is so inspiring I can't wait to start! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing! This has inspired me to paint a lot more often. If not every day, than at least once a week. There are some lovely pictures in here. The ones with your son make me think he must be adorable.

Love that you gave yourself (and by association, me) permission for a sketchbook to be “messy.” 💜

Hi Joyce! It's definitely been a 'work in progress' on myself learning to let go of perfectionism when it comes to sketchbooks - I still struggle when I'm starting a brand new one! Though I think ultimately I know that the 'messier' it is, the more character it has! So...that was a long way to say... you're welcome ❤

I love this! I didn’t think I would enjoy the long walkthrough (sorry, just me being impatient lol) but I’m so glad I did. I’m super new to sketch booking and painting. I’m really hoping to make the creative habit stick. So I appreciate your candid sharing of your journey. The struggles/challenges are real. But it’s nice to see how you still make it work one way or another. I really like the idea of creating a frame. I have recently found you on YT and I like your work! Please continue to share and inspire 🥰

No need to be sorry about saying that (about the long walkthrough) - I totally get it! I'm glad you got something useful out of the video though :) Thank you for your encouragement and kind words. Hope you're enjoying your journey with sketchbooking and painting.

Every page wonderful & inspiring. "metaphorical duck" is my favorite in your sketchbook. Journals are more interesting with art (than just words)

Oh thank you! I'm surprised you 'caught' that detail while watching! My words are certainly not nearly as poetic as yours so I must rely on visuals ☺
