I spent days listening to this soundtrack when I was a kid, in my MegaDrive/Genesis. I fantasized a lot about remixing this tunes. Now you have made it a reality, and WOW... what a blast! I love your remixes, thank you Maestro
That's exactly why I did it, yes. I too as a child loved the soundtrack and always wondered what would have happened if Koshiro and Kawashima had more storage space, time and better hardware to work with. That was always the inspiration to do this project.
The ending theme of this game will always have a special place in my heart. I first played this game on my cousin's Genesis in Los Angeles and fell in love with this game and the music. That ending song reminds me of the gorgeous surroundings and iconic sunsets of L.A. I had it in my head when I flew out of there that summer. It was the summer after the '92 riots so it was emotional times there anyway. Always an emotional nostalgia for me. That Yuzo did a hell of a job with this franchise soundtrack. Thanks to the poster and remixer for all this. Those waves sound at the end? Shivers! :)
I get chills with the ending theme, too, and it really got me this morning at the end of an intense run. I listened to this golden mix all the way down, pushing through the hardest part with Revenge of Mr. X, and then, as I was on the last two miles, the ending theme came on. Instantly I teared up and got chills hearing that hopeful tune which evoked early childhood feelings of triumph over adversity. Back then it was a video game I had beaten, but this morning, it brought the same feels as I reflected on true hardships I have faced. That feeling means so much more now at age 38, having overcome debilitating depression three years ago that I thought would be the end of me. That's the power of Yuzo's breathtaking soundtrack! Thanks for sharing your memory, too, friend. ❤

My eyes are ready to fall out of my head and I think my blood pressure is way past acceptable levels but I'm good :) Yeah, I lost the original project file to In The Bar last time 'round. I guess I must have saved another project overtop of it by accident, so I had to start right over. Sometimes it works out though, because I think it's never sounded better than it does now. SOR3 to go, and then you and I have to finish that song together!

Thanks. I try to utilize samples that fit the track, and only sparingly, when I think it adds something nice to the overall "oomph factor." Sometimes the most unorthodox of samples work the best.
I don't know how you did it, man, but you actually improved on perfection. I've always loved the soundtrack to SOR2/BK2 and you knocked it out of the park. I can definitely hear this in a club and people not even knowing where it came from

I previewed the first track on RUclips and it sounded great and downloaded the zip file and will listen to the rest (for those who aren't aware, for people like me who have surround sound systems, RUclips will only play using your 2 front channel speakers, not even using the subwoofer, unless you manually adjust your receiver settings or Windows sound mixer to play only in stereo output mode. But if you use media players like AIMP or MPC-BE you can configure them to output to all 7.1 channels. Foobar2000 can also be configured though as far as I can tell is limited to 5.1 channels). Anyway, thanks for putting in the time and effort to make these new versions. SOR2's soundtrack is legendary
Great tips, and yes, RUclips is definitely not the best place to listen to music, but I guess it does do the job for the time being. I myself am a Stereo purist, though I hypocritically mix with a 5.1 setup, as I like to cover all the bases. Thanks for the support!

Excellent. better than the "Streets of Rage Remake" OST! some of the songs lend well to having additional composition added more than others, but what an awesome concept... you should do Castlevania musics too
I really love what the composers did with SORR, but they went in a very different direction than I did. That's the beauty of different takes. I wanted to stick to the original songs and build on them, whereas they did their own interpretations of the classics. No rights or wrongs.
I hope your work reach a lot of people because this is awesome. I've been a fan for several years now. I wished one of your songs still have vocals and it did have the vocals thank you. I loved the slow moon intro so much and your version of little money avenue, didn't know you hace your take on it. Awesome.
i think that the only track i didn't like on this "Fina Crash" edition is the Never Return Alive, not the ENTIRE track, just the 15:20 up to the 15:50 part, i don't like the 8-bit sound thing that keeps playing on this part, on the GOLD EDITION, it makes this part sounds WAY better than in the "Final Crash" edition because it doesn't have this 8-bit sound, just the guitar and the siren made this part really cool and gave that vibe of "intense and bloody fight" anyway, it could just be me nitpicking on this specific part of this rendition of Never Return Alive, but all of the tracks sounds so much good and way better than the GOLD EDITION, nice job Maestro

А так парни молодцы, помнят как раньше было круто играть в sega. У нас России она появилась на закате консоли. А у меня sega появилась в 2003 году. Первые два картриджа мне подарили к ним это Sonic and Knuckles и Desert Strike. После мне друг дал картридж дал со Bare Knuckle и я тогда офигел какая музыка и игра офигенная. У нас картриджи и сама приставка были пиратские. Китайцы нам клоны консолей завозили. Позже сама страна и производила приставку и картриджы начала производить даже сами Ромы игр переводили. Так мне бы ещё очень было бы послушать в твоём Remake исполнении Adventure Batman and Robin. Там музыка классная, порой слушаю и кайфую.
