hi guys, in today's video i want to talk about my first and great experience with the automatic mode of the fujifilm xs20. actually it's also about my changed view on photography in general and how i could find the fun in it again. I hope you like the video :) Thank you for watching, have a great day Markus
We could all do with talking about how we feel. I went out for a walk with my S20 today just because I was feeling down. I feel better now. I took a few photos as well :)
So great to see you have fun again with the camera. Love seeing u sooo enthusiastic again with the video and content. I take pictures mostly for fun. With no big ambition or goal. To have no plan might be best sometimes.
nice video and photos. im thingking about getting a Fuji X-S20 for the same reason. to just shoot and not think about editing or adjusting any settings. what recipe or emulation did you use for this video and the photos you showed us?
I have got the x100VI. before I had the V model. Big improvement in video features. It’s a very pleasure to shot with a Fuji camera. I can’t use another brand. I love the Fuji’s style, colors, the form factory…it has everything I desire
If you want to capture the same feeling without compromising on the handling, you can also rely on the good ol' new school combo: zone focus + auto iso + gated shutter speed. Everything from 8ft to perceivable infinity in acceptable focus, shutter speed locked to prevent any shake or motion, and ISO takes the hit to make sure exposure is nailed. It's even more freeing because you don't even have to focus 🤘 But yeah, I'm all for turning off the noise now and then, and just shooting. You get into the flow state but the consideration is literally only composition. With full brain power focused down on the one task, growth happens by leaps and bounds.
Hi! Thanks for your vidéos to wich I always bound (please forgive my english - I’m French canadian). Also, I’m on the point to buy this XS-20 for the same reasons that you express but I wonder : for the aspect of natural and spotaneus feeling, wouldn’t an IPhone (last version) do the same (as quality)? What would be the main différence for you?
Thank you for the interesting video. You have a gift for making videos like this. I have subscribed and hope for more content. I'm waiting for my Fujifilm xs20 and I hope it will make me smile as much as you :) Regards from Poland 🇵🇱
I shoot with an X-T5 mostly on Aperture priority or manual, but zone focused. My X-S20 Also usually aperture priority but I've started experimenting with auto mode and can see it being handy. I'll likely stick with aperture priority since I like to control for depth of focus so I'm getting bokeh when I want it, and not when I don't. That being said I think as long as the auto mode give you what you want there's no shame in using it. Composition is the most important thing to worry about so if using auto mode lets you focus more on making sure your composition is right and it doesn't get in your way why not use it?
Insightful video. Not many YT channels will advocate for (fully?) auto mode - taking control of the camera can enable your creativity, IMO. As an amateur, I enjoy a variety of subjects, but my ability to choose gear and settings does not lessen the enjoyment. When the camera is “part of you” then the fun can begin. Still, point and shoot has its place - a reason, I believe, why smartphone photography is so popular. I’ve used XT-4 and XS-10, but was disappointed in the (basic) autofocus hit rate. What was your experience with the XS-20?
hey there and thanks for your kind feedback. I try to speak my mind on youtube and how i experiment with new things that i expirience and i thins case it was the auto modus, sounds strange i guess :D I am torn with the autofocus..sometimes its all over the place and i get brrrrrrr. Sometimes it really nails..i wouldnt consider it 100% accurate or that i can trust it.
hi i know its alot to ask but could you please test how is the handheld video with this XS20? specially there where your are sitting if you could test hand held video standing, handheld video when walking and trying to show the panorama and the view, and handheld panning when using ibis only or ibis with digital stabilization i want to buy this camera but i see no handheld video footage that isnt a slow mo because people say the fujifilm IBIS is jumpy in video and that it is better to get a Sony A6700 for both better video, better autofocus and handheld stabilization Thank you
hey there! i think i will do a video of it as some people are asking for it. I dont know when i will have the exact time for it, but its an interesting topic. :) Have a great day!

Hey, I love your videos! I own the same camera and I would move to see the way you have some settings when shooting. Keep up the channel is amazing!
Your positivity and calmness is infectious :)
oh thanks :)) really appreciate this

i am happy to read that! the x100VI would be on my table if i would not ownt the xs20
The problem with the Fuji x100 vi is the poor lens. I never use my x100 v, it's always the Ricoh gr3 or the gr3x. The lens is in a different league.
I'm just do it for fun. I've never had a good camera but I just bought the x-s20 and excited to see how it goes.

😊谢谢你分享的经验,我是一个来自中国的学生,用的也是富士相机,拍照时确实给人带来与众不同的快乐
i think the same :) thanks for watching
Nice vid! Produces lovely images. How did you find the over heating issues?
hey there and thanks! actually i didn’t have the issues with overheating anymore since the last firmware upgrade. do you still have it?
@@camerainmybag yeah it does, although I mostly shoot video and can get about 20mins out of it before it shuts down.
Fuji brings back the fun
after using fuji now some time i feel the same! :)

thanks :) no i didn’t but would love to.
do you have one?
