  • Computer hardware offers massive potential but its also incredibly complex. In computing the way that we deal with that complexity is through abstraction. Abstraction makes it easier for developers to produce useful applications and its important as a new student of programming to understand this concept but it can be difficult to wrap your head around it.
    This video provides some illustrations to explain what abstraction in computing is.

    Very nice video! I would just add that the cost of some abstractions are not equal, but besides that it is a very good analogy. Loved it.
