- A short take review of the third generation Corvette, as represented by this 1970 Stingray Convertible. This generation ran for an astounding 15 model years, and four different American Presidents. It is deeply entrenched in American car culture, and known around the world.

Who cares what you're nephew says. Keep doing your vids the way you always have. That's what we like.
Exactly, Bill does what Bill does best.
Exactly. Hey Bill, you have 150,000 subscribers. You think that happens for no reason? We are not just here for the cars, we are here for the personal and fun stuff too. Keep doing what you do best. 😊
Don’t give in to the snowflakes Bill!!
Let Bill do as Bill does. He liked an idea his nephew gave to him so I’m all for it!
Yep. Just let Bill be and do his thing.
Bill, please don’t change your format. Your commentary is legendary.
Absolutely, Todd. This nephew is NOT part of his core audience that has made this show the hit it is. 'F' him to put it in plain English, and keep your classic format as is!
Definitely DONT change your format. We come here for you, and your commentary on whatever flows through your mind during the reviews. Keep it full length, ramble on as long as you see fit. Your viewers appreciate you.
Hi Bill.. JUST so you know.. THOUSANDS of us enjoy your longer videos!! But, at this point, we'll take what we can get.
I like the references to the animals, whiskey, weather and history. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Australia
Love the complaining Bill. It represents how a lot of us would be feeling in your position, so don't censor how you really feel.
Once again I always like to come here and thank you for not giving in to ridiculous POV cameras, go-pros and Zoomer crap like that. You have a formula since the beginning and it works. You hold the camera, you take us for a drive. I was IN that car during the test drive. You're the man. Eternal thanks
Well said! I totally agree
@@Weaton777 ne too. Not too slick. Cheers from Australia
F the zoomer, their brains are melted by instant-flash gratification and 15 second videos
Yes...having a decent camera equipment would be terrible. Much better to watching him fumble around with a handheld while he tries to shift..safer too 🙄
@@morecowbell69 Found the millenial. Cute, except it's not decent having a lame ass go-pro that is at an unnatural angle bouncing around. Go watch Tedward if you want that shit
I'd watch these if they were 2 hours long. Feature length would be fantastic.
We would all require a whiskey break, especially Bill. Cheers from Australia
+1, sometimes 50 mins from Bill seems like 10
I was a 12 year old kid in 1969, and my mother briefly had two '69 Corvettes, a silver convertible with a 350 hp 350, and a blue coupe with a 390 hp 427. Not sure how many toddlers could fit in the back, but mom drove me and two friends (four people total) in the 427 coupe to a party, where "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies was played along with Abbey Road.
You had a cool mom!
Now thats a great memory!
I'm you're age, I have a cool mom that turned 92 yesterday but she would never have had a Corvette. Although she likes my Cadillac fine..
Dig the new thumbnail look, but please don’t forget: the reason you have this audience is because you are unapologetically yourself. As soon as you start shaving off parts of Bill to meet other people’s desires, the audience will disappear.
We love you Bill! I wish your videos were LONGER, and I’ve been watching them since they had music in them!! Keep up the great work brother.
I want the full videos!!! Keep doing what you do best👍🏻👍🏻
Keep with the longer videos, we enjoy them
I love the videos, and the length. Part of the nostalgia for me is when you tell us what was going on at the time the car was made. The videos are entertaining, informative, and very funny. Bravo! Don’t change!
Totally agree! Couldn't say it better! Be you, Bill !!
Yes the mini history lesson is always one of my favourite of Bill's quirky presentation. Cheers from Australia
A 22 minute video? Are you sick? Come on man. Give us the stuff.
23 minutes is half of what a Curious Cars video should be.
You light up my day 😊
Florida weather report included.
I appreciate the dinghy UK weather here, a bit more because of you.
Stay awesome 🤗
I prefer the longer videos where you make fun of the events of a particular year
The C3 Corvette is the sexiest Vette of all time in my opinion. Nothing beats looking out over those gorgeous curvaceous fenders from inside that jet fighter cockpit.
Amen!
To Gen X kids, a C3 defined Corvette, and will always be timeless.
if you released an 8 hour video i'd call into work just to watch.
One of my favorite car channels. Your personality and character is 🔥
Bill, we've missed you! My gf and I look forward to your content which is both educational and entertaining. Please don't change how you do videos. :)
Don’t ever shorten your videos again. It makes my day to hear you complain about Dalton’s level of complacency cleaning windows or how much whiskey todays Florida weather requires.
Yes, Bill's observations of Dalton always makes me laugh. Cheers from Australia
Don't forget the animal stories.
@@scottspilis1940 "Oh no, *insert animal* will get its friends and attach itself to your face"
@@scottspilis1940 I can't believe I missed the animals. The whiskey and the gun stash is always a laugh too. Cheers from Australia
Your videos are awesome just the way they are. I like hearing about all the goats, birds and everyone. They are fun to listen to on long trips too.
OMG, stunning Vette, and I had to post not even watching it yet...then saw 22 minutes and 😟, I wanted an hour, lol! I'm watching later after yardwork, but can hardly wait! Hope all is well!
I'll always say that long form content can and does work. Proof being vice grip garage always getting hundreds of thousands of views on 40 minute plus videos
Please don’t shorten your videos. Love the long videos and commentary.
Screw the snowballs. We need 40-50 mins of Bill every time we can get him.🙏
HOT Vette! Was born & raised in FL, graduated high school in '70 & moved West - but, would move back to own the car - & would live w/the humidity - thx!
Youth doesn't always know best! I don't mind a shorter video now and then though. Keep em coming!
Another beautiful 'vette, one of my favourite models of all time.
Kinda disappointed this isn't 40mins long
That Corvette is incredible - what a great looking car.
The video is way too short😀. I could listen to you for hours Bill!!
Nothing puts a smile on my face like the "sigh"
I'm 33 and I enjoy your videos in their entirety like the one you did on the Maserati Granturismo with all the Berettas and granades etc. Informative and hilarious. DO. NOT. GIVE. ANY. POWER. TO. SNOWFLAKES! And don't change a thing! You do you!
As a Brit growing up in this era, this car was just so frickin awesome and gorgeous from every angle. Nothing like it in England at the time. This is when you guys had styling down to a fine art. Thanks for the video Bill.👍
Totally agree 👍. Great tastes as well.
I totally agree with Milano. It felt rushed but thanks for the video. Those early C3’s are really something
Good god I've never seen a 22 minute video from Bill 😮
Not in the last 3 years!
Let me just say I love your videos! The first one I watched was about a year ago and then I lost ya for awhile until just a few days ago with your red 86 Vette. I’m a huge early c4 enthusiast and have had a few now that I’ve perfectly restored for NCRS so that video was much enjoyed. Trust me when I tell ya nobody gives a shit what some 19 year old viewers want or think! Your long videos are super informative. I can feel your passion for these cars and you flow it in a very unique way. DO YOU MAN. Don’t change a thing if their 30 mins long then so be it.
God what a dream. Noone manufactures anything as cool as this these days.
Only click on the video to here you complain about the weather. You did not disappoint.
Love the C3 Vettes. Have had a couple of them. One of my favorites.
Beyond gorgeous. Styling perfection.
Hey man, I've been watching your show since you were doing them out the front of the caryard. I've never commented before but felt drawn to. Please keep making your review times as long as you want to. By the way I just love your "quirky" presentation, been missing the whiskey lately. Cheers from Australia
The chrome bumper C3s are the sexiest cars ever built. GM designers were simply on top of the game from 1968-1972.
Love that color. Stingray Vettes are the best.
OMG! That car just looks so good in green!
Matter of fact I was a 9 yr old vacationing w/ my parents in Naples in 66 & I bought a car magazine & the Mako Shark was featured. Loved that body style.
I was born in 70. I've always thought it would be nice to have a classic muscle car from the year I was born. A Mustang would be the top of my list, but I love the look of the 70 Corvette
I’m 22, and you know what, with the extra 3 years over your nephew, I think I am slightly wiser. And as a result, I say bring back the long form Bill. Sitting down and watching you ramble on is always an enjoyable experience. Plus, as a Canadian, I appreciate the chipper Canadian rating scale system!
I agree I enjoy the videos the way they are. This video you seem to be trying to rush through it too fast keep them at 40 minutes.
You are so right about the different dynamics of manual vs. automatic
First! I always adored Bill's line from that Blue C3 we did a few years back; 'I could go the rest of my life with the bottom 20% of my vision consumed by the vista of sitting behind the wheel of a C3'.
When Bill pulls up to that gate, I go top up my coffee. Even the "quicker" gate takes forever. I do this for my last nerve. Love ya, Bill!
I much prefer the old video format. I watch them the day they come out. I have a very busy life but always have time for an entire Curious Cars video.
Thanks, Bill; a beautiful car then and now.
I really appreciate the video my father passed away and I have a 1970 thank you very much
It truly is a gorgeous Vette.
Hi Bill, we think the length of your videos is allocated appropriately. You have a special way of presenting the car and the manufacturer history, which is very interesting. Please don't change your MO, that is why I look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work sir.
Accident caused by stupidity he says driving a 350 bhp Corvette one handed while he films with the other and cross changing the manual gears!! Love it keep the sh.. coming!
I'm presently in the Naples area & I agree with Bill. The weather is miserable. Low 90s,"feels like" 100. Plus I've had enough of the crazed drivers I've experienced running on Airport & Livingston. Heading back to the 70s of PA tomorrow.
Bill, please don’t shorten the videos. We love the stories about Chris Al and Dalton
Bill, keep up the great work, love your videos just the way they are, don’t listen to your nephew the younger generation don’t appreciate these cars. Thanks 👍
Great, now I had to watch the intro 4 times to make the video long enough! Ha Bill you are awesome. I always learn something from you and you make us laugh!!
I have owned two Corvettes a 67 and a 79, Both were great cars very reliable and fun to drive.
Classic car. Thanks Bill
Holy shit this is the best first few minutes of any Bill review. Cheers to the absolute legend!!! 😂
It's one of the most beautiful cars ever made, with swooping lines and edges that are strong and muscular at the same time, all with a very pronounced coke-bottle-style midsection. They designed the body under the fads of the day, but the result was a timeless classic. With the big, wide, fat tires and the rather high ground clearance, this car is exuding power from any angle. Sports car and muscle car in one cool and elegant package.
Hey Bill how are you bud?
This is the most iconic Corvette model in my opinion.
God, that car is gorgeous. Always wanted one that color and all. Just sold my last Vette, an '89 vert, had it for many years. Too old now for Vettes. Keep up the great videos, Bill !!! You're the best !!!!
One of my childhood favorites. Always wanted one.
I grew up riding with my grandpa in the passenger seat of his 1970 Stingray in sunburnt orange with the T-Top and rear luggage rack. Memories i wouldn't wish to be any different
Hey bill, i love your videos. They are great.
Don't change the format. I watch for all the extra comments on the weather the man eating squirrels and lackluster assistance ect. Don't ever change pony boy!
😂 exactly!!!!! I hope you read these comments, Bill!!
Nooooo I need a 40+ minute video!! This is NOT enough Bill!!
1970 was a good year for American cars, I own a 70 Cadillac Eldorado & 70 DeVille convertible, the ragtop was the Fire Chief's car and still has the siren and flashing lights :D :D :D
A real beauty, the green is nice!
Never been a huge Corvette fan but there is something cool about the C3. Back in the day a certain clientele bought those and then in the 90’s early 2000’s they often got trashed or modified with no taste. This one looks very nice.
The perfect C3. I love the color, and the third pedal. Convertible is the way to go.
The video is way too short. Don't change the way you've been doing them.
This is one of the prettiest cars! Make the videos the way you want.
Don’t listen to your nephew haha. Your reviews are great but I love the wildlife commentary and stories about your life and friends as well.
Oh, how I would love to be driving that Vette. Why, though, did they not fix the clock???
Great review. I have a very similar restored base model 1970 convertible. Real joy to drive.
Magnificent! What a beauty of a car. Just a pleasure to see and virtually 'experience'. Thank you Bill 👍
Love your vids Bill, keep up the good work!
Don't forget the 68' Corvette did NOT have Stingray above its 4 gills, it returned for 69'😉
WOW. What a thoroughly gorgeous 'Vette, Bill. These early C3's are so freakin' hot....those curves....for daaaaayyyyys. Love it. Thanks for this :)
Just had to watch this. This car is only one of 6,800 built in 1970, and I had the honor of driving one. The one I drove was Mulsanne Blue with blue interior. Fantastic car. Fun fact; the Corvette is the ONLY American built sports car.
Love the coke bottle Corvette model years. Don’t change the format Bill! Keep doing what you do best and have fun!
Awesome car and color! I also enjoy the longer format videos, but this was still cool.
Bill I look forward to all your car reviews! The longer the content the better. I get a kick out of the weather reports and the wildlife reports. The car content is perfect. Entertaining and informative. As a fellow Firebird fanatic I would love to see more Firebird content. Don't ever change my friend!
Hello Bill, just wanted to ask you to please don`t change your awesome videos, I believe that 89% of your subscribers love & want you to continue making your videos the way you always have, they know that they are in for a treat when they sit down to watch a video from Bill @ Curious Cars. We love the the history of what was happening around the release of the vehicle & anything else you care to add. Just love your original style of making bitchen videos, you are the man Bill.
Forget about your nephew. You have your audience because we like the way you do things.
Thank you Mr. Bill! I do agree with Mr. Milano, please do take your time, I really enjoy every minute of your videos. And what a gorgeous green Corvette!
Today was nice first glimpse of summer over here by the pond.
Hi Bill,
For what my opinion's worth, your videos are fine just the way they are, over 30 minutes, less than an hour. It works for me and I'm sure others agree, keep up the good work.
Best regards,
Hans
I think that 70 Vette is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
This guy is a legend.
Bill... just two things here: (1) the new format works just as well too... and is still authentic to you. I'll be more likely to watch more religiously with the shorter span, and unlike the nephew, I am 50 years!
(2) THANK YOU sooooo much for doing this generation of Corvette! This was the first car that grabbed my attention in a way that ignited the eternal car lover that I am today. I was almost 5 years old when a neighbor purchased a 78' Vette C3 on the end of our street. I can *still* remember just standing there and being mesmerized by the lines, the shapes, and proportions of this car. And, intrigued by the interior because it had bucket seats, a raked dashboard, and a console in the middle. I can even remember how different the door handles were compared to our car. I couldn't stop staring at it and thinking how different this car was from any other car that I'd seen. And, I was barely 5 or 6!
Beautiful and who knew that the Corvette was the first lifted off road supercar!
