Anyway, my friend up the street turned 16 about a year-and-a-half before I did, so I walked up there every morning for a ride to school. Her mom's boyfriend had a '74 Corvette that he kept at their house, so it was cool when she'd walk out with the keys to the Vette and off we'd go. Other days, it was her grandma's green Country Squire.

British-Leyland only imported one Tr-8 per state to see how quickly it sold. I bought mine within 4 hours of it being at the dealership. it only had 3 miles on it. all Tr-8 were convertibles, mine was silver with a black top. it came with a six-speed trans. it was VERY fast and was glued to the road. it was an absolute joy to drive. unlike the corvette, it had a very roomy trunk. it came standard with air. very nice stereo system also. if you can find one in pristine condition, I would love a review. You're right about the C2 models. GM should have continued building them until the 70's.

The third generation Corvette is my favorite car of all time. I've had a '68 Convertible with a 327/350 and a 4 speed for more than 26 years.

Pewter Silver Metallic has got to be the best color ever, and that comes from a corvette owner has sprayed three colors on an L-88(|!) convertible I owned in the 70s and 80s.

Thanks Bill!! You cheered me up today and inspired me to go to the liquor store lol. One can’t go wrong with a C3 Corvette. To me the 72 is the last of this body style that looks attractive! Thanks for what you do and keep on going brother!!! Love your commentary lololololololol

Love the early C3 Corvette's with the chrome bumper, it seems like whenever I do see a C3 Corvette it's always the 1978-82 models.

Annie Potts played the Grandma "MeeMaw" in Young Sheldon, that's how old Corvette Summer is. Watching old movies now doesn't do them justice because of the technology available in newer movies, they are still great for their time.
