I was visiting a landmine museum in Cambodia in 2007, they had a bunch of these roaming around and they were very tame. A little baby one climbed up my leg and settled in my arms, at that same moment, her brother leapt on to me and pissed all over my head and shoulder. Apparently he was trying to protect his sister. I still love them but didn’t appreciate being peed on. 😢😂

Baby monkeys are very attached to their moms & you are considered his/her mom. In the wild, they get very upset if they can't find their mom. That baby was so relieved and happy to see you. And, yes, he/she was definitely telling you about everything that went on in your absence. 😂 So sweet! ❤🐒

It's really sad to watch them go through the trauma after they're taken away from their mom or when their mom is killed. Some people are only interested in making money off of selling these poor babies & they don't care how the happens.
Horrific ordeal for the little ones but very traumatic for the mothers as well to have their babies been taken away from them. That's one of the reasons why it's illegal to have wild animals in most Western European countries.

Saved from the breeder mother who has baby after baby ripped away within a few days of birth for profit. These folks sure look kind enough and the all appearances love these monkeys. As captive monkeys they certainly could have had a worse fate. However the fact that primates who have motions and grief and longing at all the things that make humans connect to them loved ones should never be poached or braiding captivity as pets. The cost is too high and lifelong.
Primates are like humans for me. It would feel like having a tiny person as a pet, however there are situations when people. Just rescue them /monkeys aren't suitable for wilderness and then it's so good to see them being loved❤
Respect for the fact that you don"t dress them up like mini humans and that they have enough spaces to climb and swing from. That's showing that you prioritized their needs. And they obviously feel save and loved.
