I wish there was a 'dating' feature on grindr, I always go through the process of getting random nudes and uninstalling it due to some guys just wanting a quick lay and then reinstalling it when i'm desperate with the hopes of finding someone who wants something more. I know it's foolish to try to find anything more on that app but i just wish some guys had a bit more....tact. i guess, Most dudes just send a 'hey' and then a nude, When did this become normalized? I just want some old school romance even if it is just for a hookup, It just feels kinda cold and effortless when someone just 'puts it all out there' right away without any sort of conversation. Anyways i hope you keep making videos as i really do enjoy your content and stories :)
There IS a dating filter on Grindr! But of course, I totally get what you mean. In general, the app is not known for tact. 😅 Have you tried other dating apps instead that are more "traditional?"

I haven't really tried other dating apps because where i live is a very closeted area, I am definitely all about PDA and being proud of liking men, I don't like being some married guys 'dirty little secret' or some other hidden dynamic. I've been thinking as of late of moving to one of the 'gay mechas' to attempt to find someone who is comfortable and out with their sexuality like i am, unfortunately most of the local guys that have come out are roughly double my age and then some. I went on grindr at "any time of the day". I'm ageing, I'm in my 40s, and I have HIV. No taps or responses for 3 years. It certainly is a different world for some.
I find the scariest time on Grindr is the dudes online 11am on a Tuesday doing crystal?!😮 they blatantly advertize they are buzzing looking to play?! How are functioning doing substances midweek morning?! Don't they have jobs?! 😂 those guys scare me most haha

Yes I think it is big in big cities. I’ve met gay guys of course who told me they are former meth users. But i don’t think I’ve ever consciously been aware of a close friend or someone more using it. Is that similar to you or have you been exposed to people using more often?
I can recognize it in person, walking down the street, if someone is a full-blown addict. They are thin and have like a square jaw, sunken in cheeks. But I've never actually known someone who was a meth addict. It's more so that I've noticed it on apps like Grindr because they'll say "Tina" or spell words with a capital T and the balloon emoji, like "I'm looking for a good Time 🎈" @@jacobhughes8056
I remember when I was going out in bars in the 1990s, bars close at 3 am here in qc, around 1-2 am, people were going on a spree to get out of there with someone, there was no grindr back then, but I think that a similar behavior may be happening with grindr, people took alcohol or something else, their inhibitions are gone and they want it now... that's my guess. 😉
There used to be one bar that attracted the biggest crowd. When it closed at 2am guys would gather on the sidewalk outside and linger for ages hoping for some last-minute invite. We called it the sidewalk sale.

I'm not sure if it's a big thing on Grindr anywhere, but in Miami Beach, there's notoriously a meth problem, and there are cues for it on the app.
