    I used this guide for this model successor the Yoga 9i 7th gen, and have just completed a repaste. There are actually a lot of differences but the general location of things and the workflow is mostly the same. Sadly no guide for any newer 9th series Yoga that this one. Probably I should have made one now that I think about it...

    Does it make sense to buy just the fans and keep the original heat pipes?

    Was there any gain from repasting?

    so you don't have to spread out the paste at all? just pop it on, and replace the heat cap?

    Hey there, I've got a quick question is it possible to pop off only the keycaps of this thing?
    I'm about to buy a US version and change the layout to a German one

      My fans for my yoga have been loud ever since I bought the laptop. I also saw a lot of people online were complaining about this but it doesnt affect performance much. I learned to deal with it.

    Do you think that for 3DS MAX works, revit and renders the graphics card and the cooling resistance?

      I don't still have this machine; but the stock paste seemed like it was pretty decent and was applied well. Liquid metal might work better; but the stock paste was solid on my unit. I really liked the C940 very solid device.

      @@cbutters What is this card which appears like prossesor but it s not bottom of fans?

    • @cbutters
      @cbutters  4 года назад

      @@muratatatoyran6419 That is a really good question; I imagine it is some sort of "southbridge" that handles storage and IO, but I actually am not 100% sure; and I don't still have this device to pop it open and get a number off the chip to look it up.

    Why you haven't used a more effective paste like Liquidmetal or "seven carat diamond"?

      Only by resoldering using special equipment.
