I can't wait to try the surgeon loops. Cool video man. You ever try the FG knot for connecting your main line to a mono leader? I like the thinner profile compared to the double uni.
I do use the FG knot and have a video on how I tie it. A little different than most guys no tension required so much easier to tie when on the kayak or on a rocking boat.
