- From Season 1 of "Hollywood Squares," this montage of clips chronicles the "jokes running away" bits from the Ken/Catherine episode, as well as the first time Gilbert couldn't get a correct answer to win the first round! (This is not "YOU FOOL!," but it's just as funny!)
Celebrities featured here include Whoopi, Bruce Vilanch, Gilbert Gottfried, Jimmie JJ Walker, and Gary Burghoff.
At one point during the YOU FOOL episode, Tom breaks away from his question and says to Gilbert "This happened first season too, didn't it?" This was the segment he was referring to.
Thank goodness it always happened with Gilbert!

Gilbert yelled "you fool" so loud that he was picked up by a second mic in the studio. It's pretty clear during the second and third ones, after that the other celebs start chiming in

I think Tom's mentioned this many times. Gilbert was asked along the lines of which species had the largest eyes, and Gilbert said "Marlon Brando at a buffet"

I ask because Peter Marshall, the OG host of Hollywood Squares once mentioned that he received a not-so friendly letter from John Wayne himself after one of the questions about John Wayne and his kids came up and one of the celebs joked and said “They stand at attention and say ‘YES SIR!”

So yeah, they're out there, and they can SEE when someone is speeding, but are they POINTing a radar gun AT them?
Because if they're just...OUT there, visually watching cars, and they don't have something recording the person speeding,
how's that shit gonna hold up in court?
Perhaps it's automated, like those signs just prior to construction site these days.
Perhaps they find a way to disguise the radar, so they don't notice it. You never really know.
