Love the turquoise color on the candle holder. I wouldn’t change it. Love the photobombing kitty too! That amber colored glass is worth a whole lot more than 30 cents for sure. Glad you are all ok after the storm. Take care.

😂😂😂 you crack me up “ a pot plant” the chamber pot was amazing, and I gasped when I saw how cheap it and the little amber bottle were. 🙃😯. The candle sniffer is so cute. Your fur baby just wants to be a star lol!
So happy to see you back!!! We prayed for Texas and were so worried about you!! What a lovely antique amber etched perfume bottle with a ground glass stopper!!! Everything you found is fabulous!!!!! xxx
It’s actually called verdigris. It’s caused by the application of an acid to the metal. Think Statue of Liberty. It occurs naturally but that candle holder likely was artificially patinated with a wash to obtain that heavy verdigris. You can clean it somewhat but probably won’t ever be completely rid of it. The best method I’ve found is plain old malt vinegar. The acids will help disolve that copper build up. Water won’t do a thing though. So soaking it in water or wiping it down and leaving it wet will only cause more patination.
The green on the copper is caused by oxidation by being exposed to oxygen and or water. It is poisonous and can be cleaned with just salt, rubbing it on until the green has gone. Verdigris is a form of painting effect to mimic the oxidation and isn't harmful in any way. If you want to keep the green I'd suggest sealing the candle holder with a mat varnish so non of the toxicity is rubbed off onto hands

I did not find your channel until a few weeks ago. We had storm damage from the end of October 2020 ice storm in NW OKC. Branches fell and knocked weatherarm off our house (the connection on house where electric connects). It pull brick off house and busted the meter. We had to our electric breaker box upgraded. Here that meant new breaker box outside that connected to old one in a bedroom closet. We ended up having to move into an apartment for 6 mon. It took us 3 week or more to find an electrician. A neighbor found one and shared it with the other 4 that were looking for one. They got us done in 2 days. We took the time to do some thinning of items, repair and remodeling. Still not finished but back in house. I have some friends down your way that had severe ice damage. Two story house and damage all thru out it. She is still dealing with getting it all repaired. Pipes busted and flooded most of the house. So glad I found your channel. Try love the little cabinet and I would bought it too. I have a curio cabinet that is a minature of one similar that my grandmother had years ago. She gifted it to me with some minatures to put in it. Over the years, I have added more minatures. Mine came with legs and hangers on back. The legs got lost along the way. I just set it on a shelf.
Julie...so glad you're back...I love how tough Texans are. In the northeast we're too busy worrying about gender identity and eliminating GOD. Keep praying it gets fixed. xox
I am so happy to see this video from you guys. It's great to hear that you are weathered through that mess and came out of it safely. It's a strange world these days!!!
Glad you and your family are all fine and made it through the winter storm. I’m headed to Texas in two weeks to check on family and friends. Do not paint the candle stick it’s simply beautiful patina. I’ve sold many of those mini curio cabinets in the past.

That potty jar...I would put it in a bedroom on the floor with a few other pretties. Or as a friend of mine did under a cute ladder back chair. What a conversation piece.
Hi Julie, so glad you guys are okay from last week's storm! *Sends hug* Of the things you purchased I liked the cabinet and that edged jar. At the store I liked that six cubby cabinet thing, that two drawer dresser and that little cat pillow. Speaking of cats, I loved seeing Piper. She's just so pretty! Any hope you and yours stay safe & warm!
Oh so glad your back and life is back to normal for you .I’ve been through several hurricanes her in Florida.and been without power for 33 days the heat was bad but I would rather be hot than cold . Prayers for your family
Piper is worried about you . She doesn’t want anyone to think your talking to yourself. She’s very pretty. Love your hauls. Thank you for sharing. Glad everyone is ok now. Blessings
The Christmas tree wooden rack you had I just bought a big duck one. Maybe to hold magazines at one time. But I painted it yellow added flowers and it’s my new spring decor for my porch.
Welcome back. I love the little bottle, it is so pretty. I cannot believe the prices at your Salvation Army, mine are always quite expensive and most of the items are usually broken, and there is only one wall of shelves with hard goods on it. So sad. Glad Texas is getting back to normal with the weather. I cannot wait for winter to be over, here in upstate NY we have had more than our share of cold and snow this year.
I don't know if I did pray for you guys but I'm sure I did anyways so I'm so glad though everything's doing okay and it's hard but you have you are picking up the pieces you and everything and I'm glad you guys are well and so I am so glad I enjoy your videos on the Goodwill and where you put them in your home it has gave me some wonderful ideas and I thank you very much I can't do a lot of things cuz I live in HUD housing projects but I can also do a lot of decorating my tables my coffee tables and stuff in my home I don't have anything fancy in my home and I enjoy it so much if you put knees on RUclips I just started watching all these U-Haul things this year popular months ago and I enjoying them so much so thank you so much and like I said I'm glad you guys are all doing good and better thank you
The chamber pot was so beautiful!! Maybe from Italy or Portugal. The candlestick was an amazing find. It might be copper but I would leave the patina on it. Great stuff.
I have that exact style of candlestick, but it's in shiny polished brass. I would guess that someone attempted to age or distress the one you found. Glad you got through the crazy weather down there. Winter in upstate New York is like that all the time, but it's terrible for those areas that don't usually encounter it.
Yahoo a new thrifting channel!! I love the same things you do. The candle holder looks like copper with verdigris. Happens as copper ages. Need to go back and watch your older videos.

Don't "clean" the candleholder!! That's how it's meant to be, patina is what it's called! :-D

Happy you are back and doing well!! Love all your treasures!!
Thank you Pam
Julie...so glad you're back...I love how tough Texans are. In the northeast we're too busy worrying about gender identity and eliminating GOD. Keep praying it gets fixed. xox
We are always praying 🙏🏻
@@ThrilledThrifter Kudos to you
I am so happy to see this video from you guys. It's great to hear that you are weathered through that mess and came out of it safely. It's a strange world these days!!!
Thank you! Yes it is.
I have that curio. I love it. I have two one I bought at a street sale the other I found on the street
So happy family made it through the storm. Blessings ❤
Thank you!
Glad you and your family are all fine and made it through the winter storm. I’m headed to Texas in two weeks to check on family and friends. Do not paint the candle stick it’s simply beautiful patina. I’ve sold many of those mini curio cabinets in the past.
Thank you so much! Safe travels.
Hi Beautiful Julie enjoyed going thrifting with you and your family the prices are unreal i have never seen such low prices they think we are all millionaires here in California thanks for sharing. Prayers Blessings to you and Larry and both of your families Hugs Mildred!

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Blessings sent that you all are safe. Please leave the candle holder in it's natural state. I think the patina is beautiful.
Thank you!
Leave the candle stick it's perfect! I see other messages that let you know what it is 😊
Liked the curio cabinet. Nice walk through. TFS & Have a very blessed day.
So good to see you back, and so glad that you and your family are healing. I think your candle stick may be brass or copper.
Thank you Julia, I’m debating leaving it.
Love your prices.wish we had stores like that in Ky.,..
I love that your goodwill labels the sizes of sheets and blankets and things. Mine doesn't. I'm going to have to look up sizes so I can measure!
Glad you got through that time last week. I'm so happy for you. I hope Elizabeth is doing okay and also the rest of the family.
Thank you so much! Getting better each day.
So glad all of you are getting better! Loved your finds today! 😊

Praying from y'all glad y'all are safe sorry you had to go threw that bad storm I'm greatfull y'all are safe that's what's important we are safe here in Oklahoma these storms are not good
That potty jar...I would put it in a bedroom on the floor with a few other pretties. Or as a friend of mine did under a cute ladder back chair. What a conversation piece.
It’s in my bedroom 😁 definitely a conversation piece lol
Hi Julie, so glad you guys are okay from last week's storm! *Sends hug* Of the things you purchased I liked the cabinet and that edged jar. At the store I liked that six cubby cabinet thing, that two drawer dresser and that little cat pillow. Speaking of cats, I loved seeing Piper. She's just so pretty! Any hope you and yours stay safe & warm!
Thank you so much Kit! She pretty but she’s bad lol
@@ThrilledThrifter Our cat Angel is the same way. She does NOT live up to her name. No flower, real or fake, is safe around her.
Oh so glad your back and life is back to normal for you .I’ve been through several hurricanes her in Florida.and been without power for 33 days the heat was bad but I would rather be hot than cold . Prayers for your family
Thank you so much Kathy! Yes! Me too. It was a storm like nothing we’ve ever experienced here in Texas.
Piper is worried about you . She doesn’t want anyone to think your talking to yourself. She’s very pretty. Love your hauls. Thank you for sharing. Glad everyone is ok now. Blessings
Thank you so much!
Glad your back and happy you all made it through the storm ☃️❄️
She loves all the excitement! Lol! Beautiful fur baby! You really found some great things!!
Haha she’s beautiful but nosey lol
The Christmas tree wooden rack you had I just bought a big duck one. Maybe to hold magazines at one time. But I painted it yellow added flowers and it’s my new spring decor for my porch.
Brass patina will turn that turquoise color blue that your candlestick has, so yes, it’s brass.
Thank you!
Missed you .Hope you feel better soon . Good haul. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Loved the greenish candle holder, Amber glass piece and chamber pot.
Glad to see you all are fine, was so worried and kept you in my prayers.
Thank you so much!
Yes it’s suppose to be like that. I love the patina on it.
Glad you’re back and your family is well...missed you too!
Thank you!missed y’all too
That candlestick must be copper to get that blue patina. It takes years to get a patina like that and makes the item very collectable!
Wow. Thank you 😊
Welcome back.
Thank you! Bless y’all heart. I absolutely do not miss the cold.
I don't know if I did pray for you guys but I'm sure I did anyways so I'm so glad though everything's doing okay and it's hard but you have you are picking up the pieces you and everything and I'm glad you guys are well and so I am so glad I enjoy your videos on the Goodwill and where you put them in your home it has gave me some wonderful ideas and I thank you very much I can't do a lot of things cuz I live in HUD housing projects but I can also do a lot of decorating my tables my coffee tables and stuff in my home I don't have anything fancy in my home and I enjoy it so much if you put knees on RUclips I just started watching all these U-Haul things this year popular months ago and I enjoying them so much so thank you so much and like I said I'm glad you guys are all doing good and better thank you
Glad you are back. Lol at the pot plant.
Thank you! Lol I know.
The chamber pot was so beautiful!! Maybe from Italy or Portugal. The candlestick was an amazing find. It might be copper but I would leave the patina on it. Great stuff.
Thank you!
I have that exact style of candlestick, but it's in shiny polished brass. I would guess that someone attempted to age or distress the one you found. Glad you got through the crazy weather down there. Winter in upstate New York is like that all the time, but it's terrible for those areas that don't usually encounter it.
Thank you! No; we are not used to winter ice storms.
I love the patina on the candle holder and the little bottle.
Yahoo a new thrifting channel!! I love the same things you do. The candle holder looks like copper with verdigris. Happens as copper ages. Need to go back and watch your older videos.
Awesome! Thank you so much! So glad to have you.
So excited to see your back and y’all are doing good💕
Thank you so much! Missed y’all!
So glad y’all are back and doing well! I was worried about y’all!!
